I have several courses from this company. Guy and his staff are very knowledgeable on many areas of the music industry. The video courses are well structured and easy to follow, with practical demonstrations, usable downloads and clear learning goals. Would recommend Thinkspace to any budding or experienced musician.

What Thinkspace offers is of a very high standard, using a range of well informed working professionals to help guide and support students. The majority of webinars are well thought out and presented and encourage students to participate in discussion, and by sharing work. Allowing current and alumni students constant access to all courses is invaluable to anyone who wishes to touch on, or deepen knowledge and skills, in areas outside of their specialism when they need it, with all courses being organised and presented exceptionally well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Thinkspace and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone interested in any of their courses.

As a child, I was unnerved by an unpleasant experience in the school music portacabin, but this team revives your spirit and leads you confidently toward the creative world of composing. Although I'm new to this journey and aware that similar resources are available online, they offer detailed and easily understandable courses that are well-organized. This allows me to grasp all the fundamentals and, with time and understanding, creatively bend those rules. My goal is purely for enjoyment, not for a professional pursuit, and these courses certainly make the process enjoyable too.

I graduated from my MfA composition / orchestration course last September - part time over 4 years. In short, the experience was transformative. The assignments and the 1-2-1 sessions were essential for locating where I needed development and support. The tutors are great - always supportive, challenging when required and highly intuitive. I started the course with very little knowledge and experience of orchestration and have emerged on the other side, now earning as an orchestrator.

I loved the experience and I’m very grateful to everyone at TSE and to be honest, a bit sad that my time there had to end. That said, alumni have lifetime access to the course materials and can attend webinars.

After only a short year, i've just graduated my Master (composing for Video Games). It was way too short ! I can't believe how my skills have improved, and i wish i could have continue this journey with TSE, i guess i'll have to do it on my own now ^^
The most valuable part of this master were the 1 to 1 tutors interview, don't sleep on them, they teach you soooo much !
Thanksfully, I have now all the other courses to browse to keep becoming a better composer !

Just finished my Masters in PMC and I am slightly sad it's all over. Learning online has been such a wonderful experience with industry professionals. The course is very well set up to engage you in all the relevant topics with people who really know their stuff. There is so much content, should you go looking, that it satiates the most curious. All the tutors are friendly, engaging and really care that you succeed. Guy has created a fantastic place for people of all ages/abilities to learn. I would never have thought that I could achieve a Masters Degree but with the help of ThinkSpace, this has become a reality. Thankyou.

I am very happy with the cubase course. I have been using cubase for a long time, but used it more as a tape recorder not knowing of the many possibilities.
It also didn't help me to watch a YouTube video here and a YouTube video there. That was too fragmented. Here the course is well structured and that was what I needed. I am grateful for that and after a few lessons I notice more ease with handling cubase. Thanks

The content is very professional and deep .
I'm only at the beginning of it because , while watching the lessons , some questions came up that I needed answers for, before I go forward. It is very difficult to understand where and whom should i ask questions. you must have a better way for contact so students can reach you easily . maybe i've missed something but it is not so clear to me , should it be on the platform itself? should I go to the forum ? and in there how do I get to the specific course ?

Comprehensive, entertaining, systematic, with great teaching materials and a great community in the background

Guy is entertaining. He explains whatever it is (procedures, concepts, technology, etc.) with passion and sometimes humor. It might be something one already knows or suspected to be true, but Guy humanizes and makes it much more interesting. Having said that, he does cover things that I did not know. I have only covered a fraction of the course thus far, as I am taking my time, but I really enjoyed learning more about the BBC and his discussion of how samplers work. I look forward to taking the remainder of the course.

The tutorials are very enjoyable and I like watching them, but the information needs to be much clearer, more concise and more focused. There is too much chatter.
And It should be possible to ask questions to the presenter f.e. Jack.

I'm really loving the BBCSO orchestration course and getting a lot out of it. Even though still in Module 2, I've learned an immense amount and look forward to those bits of time when I can settle in an learn some more. It's all really practical stuff and very likely not what you would think of without guidance.

Guy’s penny whistle was something of a turnoff at the start of the course, but this hiccup notwithstanding the course is packed with information and I am finding it indispensable for getting to grips with the many difficulties of digital orchestration! Particularly valuable is the advice on negative track delay and instrument response times, which gave me a lot of grief when I first started trying to use BBCSO.
I am about 2/3 of the way through, only downsides are that 1/ I had to convert all the outputs in the template to stereo out in order to solo instruments 2/ track delays are not built into the template.
But all in all an essential course if you want to properly master digital orchestration.

Guy does a great job explaining all aspects of the course. A few things I already knew, but learning a lot of new tricks!

I was scared by something nasty in the school music portacabin as a child but these guys pick you up, dust you down and send you on your way to composer land. I have only just started and I know you can find all this stuff elsewhere online but they supply comprehensive and comprehensible well structured courses so I can learn all the rules and hopefully break them, knowledgeably, in the future.
I have no intention of doing this professionally but just for fun .... and the courses are fun.

I really enjoyed the course and learned the things I needed to know. I had reservations about it at first, but I have enjoyed Guy’s YouTube videos for years and I knew we both use Cubase and BBC SO. I found it both entertaining and informative.

Thinkspace are just great, all of the team...oh and Guy!

Besides all the great content, mostly the interaction with the teachers. I have taken and finished almost all 18 courses. It is a holy grail of knowledge that I have never seen in over 35 years in the music world. They are all AMAZING!!!

There is no shortage of good online education sites for learning music theory/production/software. I find this to be one of them. It is, to some extent, a matter of one's preferences as a student, and the level of knowledge and experience you bring to the course. The positive side is that the cost of entry is low -- there are inexpensive introductory courses you can take to get your feet wet and discover if the style and methods of ThinkSpace Education are for you, as well as sample lessons from many of the more expensive courses. I have no experience with the formal education side (the Masters degree programs) but I've taken a number of more basic and introductory courses, and I've learned a great deal in the process. The tone and style of instruction can be experienced in the site's YouTube channel, and this is of course free. As for the instructors themselves, all are working professionals. Many of the courses feature the founder, Guy Michelmore, who made his name professionally doing soundtracks for Marvel animated superhero films.
