Ordered two items from website and paid with Pay Pal. Total cost £25.95 including postage. The following day, I received confirmation from Pay Pal that I had received a refund of £20.95 which is a shortfall of £5.00 from The White Lighthouse Company with no explanation. No communication about my order or why a refund was made albeit a partial one. I have tried to contact them by phone but a recorded message tells you to email with any queries. I have done this but so far, no response. Really cheeky!

Felt obliged to write a positive review as ive seen many negative reviews on here so in the interest of balance i have to say i have bought , in total, about 8 items from this shop recently - two bulky tables and about 6 decorative pieces. All arrived promptly and were perfect. Really nice pieces that look every bit as they do online - at great prices too. I love this shop. They have lovely unique things. I hope im as lucky with future purchases!!!! 10/10

I am compelled to write a review because despite having some lovely furniture, this is the second time I have purchased from them (hoping it would be better!) and have experienced the same poor service, slow delivery, no communication, last time my goods were badly damaged, this time appears OK but after waiting 2 weeks for something they then missed off 2 parts of the order! I shall sadly not be purchasing from them again :-( Interesting there are no comments on their facebook pages.

I ordered a couple of pieces of furniture on a whim after my partner found the website for The white Lighthouse.
Usually I would check out reviews on any site before buying anything but in this case I just ordered.
Following my confirmation of sale I eventually read the reviews and was thinking..oh great… I’m not holding out on hope of getting the goods at all or un-damaged.
I waited for the 8-10 days stated on delivery of the items but heard nothing so emailed to check on the order.
I had a reply apologising for the delay and to expect the items within 2 days.
I still didn’t hold out hope after reading the reviews but was surprised when they were delivered in that time.
The pieces were in good working order and as they looked on the website and my partner loves them and they look good in our home.
It goes to show not to judge a book by its cover or reviews.
I’m aware some people may not share this review and may have had a bad experience but mine was good.
The only thing I would say is better communication is needed between the company and customer to know where you stand and where you are with your order only because I had to email them to track my order after the 8-10 days.

Non existent customer service. Does not respond to emails re processing a return after 3 emails and no one is available on the phone.

How is this company still in business, AVOiD them. they avoid refunding anything if you return goods. Be warned Parcelforce Belfast have trouble delivering to them as they only open until 12 am and then they blame parcelforce for leaving with neighbour address. Very rude customer service.

Sadly as with previous customers' reviews , I have experienced the almost zero customer service of White Lighthouse. They have a very attractive website showing lovely products, competitively priced but a) they don't package goods adequately and b) they make you pay to return damaged goods and claim back the postage, but then they don't repay your postage costs. They just ignore all emails. My 2 lampshades were packaged in a piece of cardboard cut down and re-folded from a larger box, so it had no strength and the box and consequently the lampshades all arrived squashed.

Items arrived poorly packaged. The rug was a completely different colour to that listed on the website and the cushion covers were very cheap looking. I sent these items back but the company stated they never received them so didn't refund me. It was a lot of money wasted. I wouldn't buy from them again.

Items arrived today well packaged and looked exactly like the website photos. Quick responsive customer service regarding delivery. Very pleased with my two lamps, great value for the price paid. Happy customer. Will be ordering again. Thank you.

Poor service Really disappointed received item damaged even though packaging not damaged so it must have been packed damaged. Tried to contact by phone to arrange return only get automated recording to email. Emailed several times and they replied I hadn’t contacted so basically no replacement. It’s such a shame would never use this company again

Like the product and their range in general. But my experience completely spoilt by the return service for goods which arrived damaged. They stopped communicating and didn't process the return. In the end, I had to go to paypal resolution to get the damaged item and postage refunded. Took around 7 weeks. A great shame.

ordered last Wednesday had a email from the delivery company Monday to say it was going to be delivered that day, received the items but one was missing, emailed and they responded the next day informing me it was unfortunately out of stock, refund in my bank after two days very happy never used the company before but took a chance and I’m very happy with the items received Thankyou

Absolutely awful experience with this company. Firstly you can’t talk to anyone directly. Informed on an automatic answering machine to email. I was left short of items. Refunded me for 1 and not the other. As told that the distribution definitely only left me short of 1 not 2! So basically saying the distribution company is right and I’m wrong. been ignored. 0/rude customer service! Stay clear!

Worst company… take your money and don’t for fill your order.
Contacted several times, they never responded.
Please stay away from this company they are actually fraudsters

Avoid at all costs, ordered an item they sent a completely different product, no contact information email sent, advised to return for free, no free return service I have to pay another £8.50 costs for return, poor service and quality of item was unbelievable, raised a complaint through paypal.. avoid using as majority of reviews have said. Shocking service and company which is obviously a fraud outfit.
This order has now costs me delivery on top.

Don't bother trying to communicate with anyone at this company. Nobody answers the phone and they don't answer email enquiries. How companies like this manage to operate, I'll never know. Presumably there are enough unsuspecting victims that they manage to survive.

Only gave 1 star as no option for zero stars. Placed order which never arrived, no email to explain reason & when enquired about order I received a pending refund & they had the cheek to deduct money for seller charges plus any fees or refunds .
Wish I had read reviews beforehand but Instagram page looked professional & have never had a problem ordering from Instagram companies.

Zero stars for this company. Their products look lovely and probably are but packaging was so poor, the good arrived damaged. They refused to collect them so I incurred large cost to return goods to them. Had to raise a dispute via Paypal to obtain refund for goods but not compensation for cost to return. Do NOT use this company.

I would avoid this company. The instagram page for this company is beautiful but don’t be fooled. Communication is non existent, I only got a response as I raised a claim through PayPal. And tried to blame my hotmail email for not sending emails!!! Delivery is shocking. My order was placed on 27th Sept and was not dispatched (informed of this through PayPal) until 17th Oct. I won’t be buying from them again due to lack of customer service. They are also trying to have this review taken down and I’ve had to say proof of purchase. I never got a confirmation email even after providing another email address for them to send it too. I’m hoping the PayPal dispute screenshots is enough to keep this review online. I’m even more disgusted with this company now!

First time I have ordered from this company, i'm leaving a review here as there is no-where to leave one on their website, which I think speaks volumes.
We spent £60 on a tiny stool, for this price I expected it to be good quality & well upholstered. The padding is very thin so you can feel the hard wooden seat. It's more like a Dunelm level of quality but for 5 times the price. Cant be bothered with contacting customer services as I see from other reviews they aren't very responsive but I wont order anything from here again. A shame as I had saved the site as was hoping to be a regular customer...but have learnt my lesson!
