I have had a similar experience to another customer. I received a battered and broken lamp shade and a cracked ceramic lamp base. I emailed and received an apologetic response but they sent me a faulty link for a free return. There is no phone number so you cannot speak to anyone and they have not responded to further emails from me!
Non existent customer service
I waited for over a month for my delivery which arrived faulty- a ceramic vase with a chip in it.Despite several emails I have received no response at all. this company and their service is a disgrace!

Their wooden items are not wooden & very poorly constructed. I purchased a little stool that has little chips of wood stuff into the leg joints. It is wobbly.
The China products are pretty & im happy with them. I was refunded the money for missing items so that’s good but no correspondence about the shoddy wooden item. Packaging was very damaged but thankfully my items weren’t crushed.

Please avoid using this company. I purchased a small table and two of the legs arrived damaged. I sent photos clearly showing the damaged legs that were split and they came back and said they were not damaged or broken. I have been trying to get them to respond to emails for weeks and they just ignore you. Really bad customer service. Please do not waste your time or money. AVOID!

Missing item no way of getting a response from shoddy customer service (there is none!).
I ordered a few pieces and small items which arrived well packed and in good condition, and I was pleased with my order. However one item was missing so I promptly emailed customer service and did not receive a response. In total I tried 6 times to contact them and then I gave up. Essentially this is stealing from customers which makes me mad because I saved so hard to have a little spend on a company that looked so lovely. Honestly, my mistake for not looking at all of the previous negative reviews. Sadly, this company laughably wrote a response to one review stating that they did not care about receiving negative reviews… oh dear, don’t be so up yourselves!
PLEASE AVOID as it does feel a little scammy ☹️

I had a very negative experience with this company. The item I received arrived severely damaged, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I immediately contacted their customer service to report the issue and request a resolution, but I never received any response—no acknowledgment, apology, or assistance of any kind.
The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable for any business. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company and will not be ordering from them again. I strongly advise others to exercise caution before making a purchase.
Ordered an item
Ordered an item, took quite a long time to arrive and it transfered colour onto my towels. Emailed to say I would be returning - no response. Reurned by RM and tracked the delivery. Arrived on 20th Jan - still no refund. No response to emails, or questions on FB. Now having to contact trading standards to report them. Really is a terrible company.
Dreadful experience
I came here to share some rather negative feedback about my dealings with this company, to find that the last reviewer had experienced very similar issues ... I ordered 2 lamps that were a darker colour than I had anticipated on arrival and so returned them for a refund. One was promptly refunded, but the company claimed that one of the lamps had arrived back to them damaged, the shade had been crushed. They said they would keep it for a week if I wanted to collect it from them. I asked if they could organise to send it if I paid for the postage, but they refused to help. I did arrange collection so that at least I could use the undamaged lamp base . Sadly it was not packed properly for the return. One lamp was placed in a box that had previously held 2 with no packaging. it was free to slide around and was consequently smashed to pieces. I have paid out £65 plus return postage of £20 and have nothing to show for it.
The company will not take calls and can not be contacted via social media.They communicate only by email and do not always respond. I would never purchase from them again and would advise to avoid. I will be reporting to trading standards.

I think I have been scammed! I returned a number of items to this company but one was 'apparently' damaged in transit. They said they could not refund me for this item (and I appreciated their position on this) - so I asked that they simply send it back to me so I could use it. It had a small chip in it and I thought rather than waste the £60 that the item cost, I could get it back and repair it myself - and then use it. I requested this - and this is the response: 'We are not disputing that you own the lamp and if you wish us to return the lamp to you there will be an administration fee of £27 and a postage charge of £48. You can also arrange a courier to collect your goods between the hours of 9 and 12am Monday to Friday. We also rescind our offer of free storage and a fee of £7.80 will be incurred for everyday that YOUR item is stored in our warehouse facility starting today. Alternatively we can place this item out side and your courier can collect from the door step at any time.'
Golly - someone very angry is typing this response - it is extraordinary that they wish to charge me storage for an item that has been returned to them (it is a small lamp btw) and equally odd that to send it back to me will cost more than the value of the lamp. Over £65. I am a busy person so I will not be disputing any of this - I don't have time. I will write off my £60 and am walking away with the very complete loss of faith in human nature and this company. I ask any reader to think very carefully before placing an order with this company - they are definitely most unpleasant, and I am beginning to think also dishonest.

Ordered a basket and table. Had to return the table but owner would not communicate so I went ahead and send the table back as per their returns policy - EVRI could not deliver as unit was never open. Despite several emails the owner would not reply. Had to put a claim in via EVRI, could job I took out insurance. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!

My second order with this company. Once again I couldn't be happier with my purchases. Goods were well packaged,arrived promptly and all are excellent quality.
DISAPPOINTED AND BEMUSED!
Ordered two items from website and paid with Pay Pal. Total cost £25.95 including postage. The following day, I received confirmation from Pay Pal that I had received a refund of £20.95 which is a shortfall of £5.00 from The White Lighthouse Company with no explanation. No communication about my order or why a refund was made albeit a partial one. I have tried to contact them by phone but a recorded message tells you to email with any queries. I have done this but so far, no response. Really cheeky!
Positive experience
Felt obliged to write a positive review as ive seen many negative reviews on here so in the interest of balance i have to say i have bought , in total, about 8 items from this shop recently - two bulky tables and about 6 decorative pieces. All arrived promptly and were perfect. Really nice pieces that look every bit as they do online - at great prices too. I love this shop. They have lovely unique things. I hope im as lucky with future purchases!!!! 10/10

I am compelled to write a review because despite having some lovely furniture, this is the second time I have purchased from them (hoping it would be better!) and have experienced the same poor service, slow delivery, no communication, last time my goods were badly damaged, this time appears OK but after waiting 2 weeks for something they then missed off 2 parts of the order! I shall sadly not be purchasing from them again :-( Interesting there are no comments on their facebook pages.

I ordered a couple of pieces of furniture on a whim after my partner found the website for The white Lighthouse.
Usually I would check out reviews on any site before buying anything but in this case I just ordered.
Following my confirmation of sale I eventually read the reviews and was thinking..oh great… I’m not holding out on hope of getting the goods at all or un-damaged.
I waited for the 8-10 days stated on delivery of the items but heard nothing so emailed to check on the order.
I had a reply apologising for the delay and to expect the items within 2 days.
I still didn’t hold out hope after reading the reviews but was surprised when they were delivered in that time.
The pieces were in good working order and as they looked on the website and my partner loves them and they look good in our home.
It goes to show not to judge a book by its cover or reviews.
I’m aware some people may not share this review and may have had a bad experience but mine was good.
The only thing I would say is better communication is needed between the company and customer to know where you stand and where you are with your order only because I had to email them to track my order after the 8-10 days.
