When I first saw the light up hub girl on Instagram, I didn't think that it would be worth the price, thinking that it was just some scammy website that wouldn't actually help. Following a mock result that I thought I could've done better in (6 in lang, 5 in lit), I decided to pay for just one month of the subscription (later extended), ahead of another set of mock exams. It wasn't something that instantly got me to a grade 9 in a day (nothing can do that) but after spending a bit of time on the website, the constant exposure that you get to top notch analysis can really help with how you start to write your own essays. The essay skills and grade 9 ideas were the most helpful features of the website for literature, and for language, I found the question 5 structures to be extremely useful. In my final set of mocks, I had already improved to an 7 in literature and an 8 in language, which massively improved my confidence. I kept using the website in the run up to my exams, learning how to write grade 9 analysis and writing countless practice paragraphs on the website (which you can get feedback for.) I do think that if you would like to think about getting a subscription, it's best to get it a few months before your exams, rather than the week before. Although it is pricey, I would wholeheartedly recommend the light up hub. And now, on results day, I have achieved 2 grade 9s in language and literature, with scores of 145/160 and 158/160 respectively. This is a seriously good website, that can massively help with GCSE english, if used correctly.

Honestly, this app has been a game-changer for my GCSE English. I went from a Grade 4 to a Grade 9 in English Literature and from a Grade 4 to a Grade 7 in English Language, and I genuinely don’t think I could’ve made that progress without it.

What I’ve found most helpful is how easy it makes revision feel. Instead of just memorising things and hoping they come up, the app helped me understand what examiners actually want, improve my analysis and structure my answers much more effectively. I could instantly see where I was losing marks and what I needed to do differently.

The biggest difference was the confidence it gave me. Going from a 4 to a 9 in Lit is something I genuinely didn’t think I was capable of at the start, and seeing my grades improve made me want to keep pushing. I literally started using this app half way through year 11 and my only regret was not getting it soonerrrrr

If you’re doing GCSE English and feel stuck at a certain grade, I’d seriously recommend giving this app a go. It’s easily one of the most useful revision tools I’ve used, and the progress I’ve made speaks for itself. 10/10 from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love you Light up hub!!!

Started year 11 with grade 3 English language & grade 4 English literature and actual final results were two 6’s in both, mostly used the website only a few weeks before actual exams, and the analysis helped and was easy to remember and stuck with me when writing in the real thing, would 100% recommend

Wow! I literally couldn’t have done any better all thanks to light up hub, in my first set of year 10 mocks I was on a 5 in language and 6 in literature and I have just got a 7 in language and a 9 in literature. This has been an absolute GOD send. I would literally recommend this to EVERYONE! So so grateful for the support this has given me and not enough thanks could show my gratitude to the team behind it

The lightup hub is amazing and so worth the money! I went from barely passing english language getting a 4 to getting a 7 in my results as well as going from a 5 to an 8 in english language. I wouldn’t of been able to do it without the lightup hub the courses saved my grades it was so helpful and i couldn’t recommend it enough!

The light up hub was so useful during my GCSE's, I ended up getting 59/64 on paper 1 which I have never done before. I was never one to like English so I was so shocked. It helps so much with analysis and memorising techniques 10/10. I would recommend

I wouldn’t have achieved my two 9s in English lit and lang without The light up hub. Achieving full marks in lit was a dream come true for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH

I came across the Lightuphub through Instagram and TikTok and at the start of year 11 and was continuously achieving at around a 5/6 in both English literature and language so decided to sign up to the Lightuphub to improve my grades and once I started using it everything fell into place for me, the work load became more organised as the individual lessons and ways to structure essays massively helped improve standard of my writing. In the run up to my exams the live lessons were brilliant and extremely helpful, it gave me that extra boost that enabled me to feel confident and organised when going into my exams. So anyone who is struggling or needed that extra boost in their English to secure your dream grade I couldn't recommend the Lightuphub anymore, for me it was 100% worth every penny as someone who has just achieved their dream grades at a 7 in English language and an 8 in English literature. Thank you!

The light up hub helped me so much . I started using this in year 10 and it shot up to 4s. The light up hub helped me bring up my love for English.

I was stuck on 5’s in English, but after using the light up hub I got a 6 in English literature and a 8 in English language!!! I’m so happy and genuinely can’t believe it, thanks so much!

This is really good but sometimes not accurate to some exam boards. However it did give me good ideas of words to use and structure. Especially for Jekyll and Hyde. I went from a 4 in english literature to a 5.

I’ve been using this app continuously throughout the year 11. I began with grade 3 in both eng lit and eng lang. And I end up with grade 9 in eng lit and 2 marks off from grade 9 in eng lang, mind you 2 years ago I didn’t know any English at all. I believe this is the best English resource you can possibly find, it has a great range of contexts and ideas, the vocabulary is actually incredible. Overall the information this app provides can be used for any possible question, all ideas can be interlinked greatly. I felt 100% confident going into my exams. It definitely worth it.

excellent grade 9 analysis for all quotes for aqa english literature

This website was good at first, and then I found it very labour intensive which definitely made English more stressful. But I got my results today and have jumped from a low 6 to a grade 9 in English Literature and a low 6 to a grade 8 in English language. The Lightuphub is very very good but it is lots of hard work and hours using the website to see progress, also outside of the website too to achieve these grades but, I'm very glad I subscribed in the end and I would recommend if you want to achieve better grades.

Although I used it for a small amount of time I went from a grade 4 to being one mark away from a 6 just by using this so I’m very happy with this. I would 100% recommend to anyone doing the GCSEs next year !!

This website honestly saved my whole grade, Throughout my whole secondary school experience I was stuck on a grade 6 on both English language and English literature, In the real thing after I bought LightupHub I got a 8 in English language and a 9 in English literature, 150/160 in total. Only missing out in a few marks in each essay. Honestly it was extremely helpful and I wouldn’t have been able to achieve those grades without it.

Extremely grateful to you miss. You have been an immensely powerful pillar which helped me to get the grade I got today. Initially it seemed impossible as I got only 5 in English language in my recent mock and after that I started following your tips and look what, a magic happened. When I opened my results my eye balls were almost out of eyes, I got an 8 and only 4 marks away from a 9. Thankyou miss for everything you did for the students it really mean to us

Hope God bless you with immense happiness and wonderful future in your app

Unbelievable, didn’t think I could turn around as fast as I did , from 6/7 to a 9 in literature in only 3 months .

Thanks for always being there when I needed help.

I can’t recommend The Lightup Hub enough, before i started using it I hated English as I just could not grasp the concepts but the videos and breakdowns really helped me to understand and find high level vocabulary and ideas for my GCSEs. After using The Lightup Hub for just under a year, I my grade went up by 3 and I was so shocked and proud when receiving my grades!
