I was very impressed when my mum signed me up to this a few months before exams started but it was what got me a grade or two higher in my exams so very thankful

I joined the light up hub as a year 10 at the beginning of the school year. Our school
sits English Literature a year early meaning we had to take 2 mocks and then the real GCSE in May- I was working at a grade 6-7 in my mocks but at the very beginning i was just wanting a pass. After using this app throughout my months building up to the real GCSE i ended up coming out with FULL MARKS on both papers- Grade 9. I can’t thank this app enough!!!

It simplified my revision and made it more organised and clear. It helped me with quotes and analysis and tailored to my needs. It is very worth it!

Good analysis, clear layout. When I felt like I didn’t know how to improve my grades in English, this gave me all the help I needed.

English is my third language. After I moved here from Ukraine, it has been my biggest struggle at school. I was getting 4s for the last years and after using free resources on Lightuphub I achieved 8s in both of my GCSE exams!!! xx

Started my GCSE’s getting 7s and the occasional 8 in English lit and lang but never really understood what English literature gcse wanted from me. Joined the lightuphub and not only gained a deep understanding as to how to answer questions in line with gcse mark schemes, but also so many useful annotations and analysis which I could use for my essays. Overall amazing and I got a 9 in both lit and lang and even full marks in lit paper 1!

Thank you for saving my English Literature grade from a 4 in my recent mocks and also helping me from previously failing english language and getting 3s to now getting a grade 8 in english literature and a 6 in english language. The LightUp Hub helped me so much because of you i was able to go to my desired sixth form which previously denied my conditional offer

10/10 – LightupHub completely changed my English grade
I genuinely can’t recommend LightupHub enough. In my March mocks, I got a Grade 2 in English, and at that point I was really struggling and didn’t know how I was going to improve before my GCSEs.
I started using LightupHub for my revision and it completely changed the way I approached English. The videos and resources made everything so much easier to understand, especially how to structure answers, analyse properly and actually know what the examiners were looking for.
Around two months after getting a Grade 2 in my mocks, I achieved a Grade 6 in my actual GCSE. I honestly didn’t expect to improve by four grades in such a short amount of time, and LightupHub played a massive part in helping me do it.
If you’re struggling with GCSE English or feel like your grade is stuck, I genuinely recommend giving LightupHub a try. 10/10 and easily one of the best revision resources I used for my GCSEs.

i got the light up hub few months before GSCES and was on grade 3 on lang and 4 on english lit and ended up getting 6 in lang and 7 in lit!! i definitely recommend it helped me so much.

I went from a 3 in English language to a 6 , a 5 to an 8 in English lit which was unbelievable as I only started using the light up hub 2 months before my GCSE’S.
Thank you so much!!

LightupHub massively helped my son pass both Language and Literature which he never thought was possible

The lightuphub saved my GCSEs honestly don’t know what I would do with out it the analysis is absolutely amazing and is the reason I was able to move up 3 GRADES!!

I love using the Lightuphub portal, everything you need is there. It's really organised and so many tips on how to construct your answer.

It was alright. I went up 1 grade in literature since the start of year 11 to results day. The videos never made sense particularly in Macbeth. The analysis was honestly just weird like definitely wrong sometimes and there was a lot of just waffling tbh. It’s probably more useful for AQA or something as i don’t believe this paragraph structure works eduqas. There were a few videos and analysis that was really good and I ended up using in the exam which helped but i only found the language techniques and explanation helpful and i didn’t use the structure.

Honestly an amazing alternative to a normal tutor, very unique ideas to really appeal to examiners and more basic points to target all grades and work up. My only regret is not starting sooner!

100% recommended for English literature !! Although the resources for Edexcel is not as much as there is for AQA, the resources are really on the point. Went from a 5 to an 8 which is actually insane 🥳🥳 thank you light up hub

Lightuphub made revising for English so much easier and more stress free! today (results day) I received grade 9s in both English lit and language not far from full marks! before i got the lightup hub i was on grades 5 and occasional 6, getting the lightup hub in year 11 was a perfect move and I could not recommend it enough! (The website is also really easy to use)

English Language was my weakest subject starting from a grade 3 in y10 to achieving a grade 8 on results day.I would say what helped me the most were the detailed structure Lightuphub gave and the specific sentence starters it would provide. The night before the exam I copied the structure down onto flashcards and would memorise the sentence starters and structures before going into the exam.Overall,I was very satisfied with the site and it was super easy to navigate. Also,I went from a 2 to 7 for English Lit,which I used mainly Lightuphub for!!

Omg thank you so much this website has been such a help and everything amazing on there including the revision and videos! Before I was on a grade 3 for my mocks and now because of you and all your help and advice I got a grade 6!

I began using the LightUpHub at the start of Year 11 to boost my English literature confidence and by the start of my GCSEs I felt ready and prepared. I not only improved my confidence but got full marks in my exam so I highly recommend using if you need some support for English!
