I was getting 3s in my exams till I found this website that my cousin recommended to me and ever since then I haven’t stopped getting 4s, 5s and even 6s. I did my GCSEs and I got a 4 in English Lit and a 4 in English Lang so I’m very proud of myself so thank youu.

The well structured site provided me with keynotes on the literature texts with excellent guidance. It supported my learning and helped me to get a grade 9 in English Literature. Recommended!

You need to inform students that you only offer resources for AQA and edexcel because I payed for this website as an eduquas student.it was only partially helpfull

I went from being around a Grade 1 in English Language to achieving a Grade 5, only 3 marks away from a Grade 6. I genuinely think a big part of this improvement was learning how to approach the questions properly, especially remembering templates and structures for the 40-mark writing question. Having a clear structure meant I could focus more on my ideas, vocabulary and description rather than panicking about what to write.

I also started looking at everyday things differently. For example, when I was walking somewhere, I would pick an object and try to mentally “paint a picture” of it using vivid description. Instead of just thinking “there’s a tree”, I would think about its texture, movement, colour, shape, the way the light hit it and what it reminded me of. This helped me build my descriptive vocabulary and made it much easier to create detailed descriptions in the creative writing question.

I didn’t even pay for Light Up Hub, but honestly, the quality of the videos was so good that I would always recommend paying for the full website. The videos they put on social media were already so useful and high-quality that I can only imagine how much better the full website would be. It genuinely helped me go from around a Grade 1 to just 3 marks off a Grade 6 in English Language within about a month. Honestly, if I had paid for the full website and had access to all the resources, I genuinely feel like I could have pushed myself to a Grade 7.

Excellent, used the premade flash cards and went from a grade 4 to grade 8!!!!!

i started at a grade 5 and struggled to get a 6 but after using the light up hub structures i got a grade 7 in literature! the exam structures and videos helped me the most. sadly ill be resitting language because of timing issues but ive purchased the subscription again and will do more timed exam practise with her structures. overall i found it really helpful as im not naturally smart and need things heavily broken down, thank you aaliyah x

I went from a 3-4 in my mocks to a 5-6 (one away from a 7) in the real thing and I only got the website a week before I highly recommend thank you!

very good app that helped me get a grade 9 in english.

I was constantly stuck on a grade 8 in both English subjects, but Thelightuphub really really helped me with ambitious vocabulary, terminology and most importantly: helped me achieve my two grade 9s!! I could not recommend this any more, I’m immensely grateful for this platform. Thank you!! :)

I had purchased a membership for the Lightup Hub before my GCSEs had started because in my mock exams I had gotten mostly 9s in my subjects apart from English language and literature in which I had obtained grades 5 and 6 in. After buying the membership, I was able to use the carefully crafted lessons on every text I needed for my english literature exams with detailed grade 9 analysis which i was able to implement in my essays, as well as grade 9 ideas for english language to help me get a grade 8 in the subject. I saw improvements over time from using the membership in my essay writing which I had always been weak at. The lessons, with my personally favorite part being the videos, where there's an actual person explaining ideas rather than an AI voice, allowed me to turn these ideas into essays, that allowed me to get my desired grades. Right before the exam I also used the quizzes from the "last minute revision" section of their website allowing me to use active recall to remind myself of these grade 9 ideas. I personally, recommended the membership to multiple friends especially after I got my final results of 9 9s, 2 8s and 1 7 with extremely good grades in English, which I might've not been able to do without the resources. Even though the Lightup Hub wasn't the only resource I used, it was one of the best resources I used for grade 9 ideas and vocabulary, to stun examiners.

It was very easy to understand and learn quickly, i liked the quick last minute revision feature as it saved me a lot of time and made me jump 3 grades. AMAZING.

Light up hub is a great website and not only and English lit but also English language strong source for gcse

They managed to raise my predicted grade by 2 grades! The videos and explanations were really helpful and helped me understand it so much better.

absolutely amazing

The light up hub was the most helpful thing for my GCSE's! The day before the exam, all I would need to do was to sit down and finish all of the amazing video's and lessons provided on the website and I felt more prepared than ever. From model answers, grade 9 vocab + quotes, advanced analysis and easy understanding, the light up hub made learning enjoyable, fun, and motivated me to do my best! The short lengthened videos and consistent style set-up made revision not even feel like a chore for me, and doing light up hub was like my break from all of the other subjects!
I ended up getting two 8's, and literature is getting remarked as so close to a 9!
Very happy, and would recommend the light up hub for anybody struggling with English, or even those high-grade students looking to maintain those marks. This website is an essential must-have for easy and well supported success!
Thank you for everything :)

went from 4 to 8 in english language and 4 to 7 in english literatire

i was originally failing both english lit and lang I tried english tutors and nothing was helping, i then joined the light up hub and went up from failing both to achieving 6s! i definitely recommend its extremely helpful.

The Lightup Hub is amazing. I never particularly enjoyed english, nor was I good at it but with the Lightup Hub I ended up getting two grade 8s, with both being a just a few marks of 9. The analysis and structures they suggest, are explained in depth and are super clear to understand and most importantly use in the actual exam. For me it simplified English, as I learnt exactly what the exam was asking of us, and it no longer felt impossible to do well. It was also perfect for last minute revision the days before the exams, with all the videos and quizzes in the section. I'd totally recommend the Lightup Hub to all sitting GSCEs next year.

Went from 4s in both lang and lit up to a 6 in lang and a 5 in lit (1 off a 6) in just 1 year of using! Would recommend

I was struggling with English, I found it difficult to engage with and preferred to revise Maths and Science.
I was aware I need to achieve a minimum of two 5's and I was really concerned I may not get this.
Lightuphub explained things so clearly and broke down examples that really sunk in and helped me.
I cannot believe I ended up with a 7 and an 8 (my Mum is shocked and thrilled too!)
Thank you for your help - this site made revising and understanding English so much better!
