I sold my car through Connor Mountain at the car buying group. Connor was upfront and available all the way through the process. The price was agreed, the driver came and the price we agreed was paid there and then, no haggling no stupid offers. Connor was then available with any advice after the sale with tax and V5 etc. the payments team were polite quick and efficient and id definitely recommend using them if you have a car for sale!

The process was very straightforward, and everyone I spoke to along the way was very helpful and friendly. The most painless car selling process I’ve ever experienced! Highly recommend.

Rather wipe my arse with vinegar dipped sandpaper then sell to this firm.

Offered me 87k for my Porsche 4GTS...

Ended up selling to a Porsche dealership for 110k.. 23k difference and now I'm getting hounded!

Every time I got a call from you guys it rang once and when I returned the call I was put on hold and ended up hanging up as my calls were not ansered, this happened 2/3 times a day up to around 6pm..

The spec of my car was given and you still tried to low ball me..

As for the offer differing from trade companies... We buy any car offered me 107k!!

Friendly staff, no messing about, the company says exactly what it says on the tin.

Ridiculous offer, worst i had yet. Webuyanycar literally offered 1.5k more.
I am in the motor trade- they all use the same system to check values based on condition. Webuyanycar physically seen the vehicle and offered way more. These guys just low ball to make silly money. Definitely look elsewhere first, main dealer Arnold even offered more😂

The price they said after seeing photos is the price I got. It might not be quite as much as I could have got privately but there was no hassle and no tyre kickers. If you want a quick sale use these guys. Good communication at all times too.

Rang an hour before arrival simple check over the car sent details back to his office there was an adjustment to the original offer they stayed till the money had cleared very simple

From start to finish I was promised a price from Megan Sykes and if you are honest about the car and everything is good on collection they do pay what they say.
I was selling my mothers car as been placed in a home no hassle also the lady who came to collect the car was excellent so hat off to all involved.
Money transferred straight away.

Great experience with The Car Buying Group, would definitely recommend. Process was easy from start to finish, Megan Sykes who I initially made contact with was amazing, I actually ended up choosing to go with this particular company because of Megan’s great customer service! Smooth process throughout and I found it easy talking through WhatsApp and sending all my photos. Any questions received super quick responses. Driver who came to collect, Dave, was also really lovely and made the whole process easy on the day of collection. Took around an hour for Dave to do all the necessary checks and then a short wait for head office to confirm everything I said matched Dave’s inspection and the price I was promised in my account within 10 mins! I’d definitely recommend The Car Buying Group to anyone looking to sale without fuss. Thanks again!

Excellent service. One of my colleagues at work recommended The Car Buying Group as he has sold 3 cars to them in the past so I decided to give it a go. Rich was really great to deal with and made the process to sell to them so easy and straightforward to understand. Libby contacted me with regards to payment and checked back to make sure I had received the payment and Virgil who collected the car was also excellent. I was contacted by Adam at the Car Buying Group when I was trying to sell my car, he was very friendly and helpful talked me through everything they needed to know. Called me back when he said he would, gave me a price and arranged for collection. On the day of collection I received a phone call when they were on their way. Two guys came spent 30 minutes looking over the car, checking it out and confirmed they would pay the price that I had been offered, the money went into my account immediately and the car was driven away. No hassle just a fast friendly service. I would hundred percent recommend this company and if you get to talk to Adam, that’s an added bonus.

Great customer service. Everything was explained clearly. The entire process was very quick from first contact through to collection. Valuation was great and payment was swift once the driver had finished his checks of the vehicle. Slightly concerned at the prospect of TCBG taking the full V5 but it was processed as promised and an email verifying the transfer of ownership was received from DVLA the next day. The vehicle tax refund was received within a week of this. Definitely recommend these guys if you need to sell your car.

After experiencing a terrible situation with we buy any car.com I turned to the car buying group for help. It was a very difficult situation as I was living 100 miles away from my mother whose car I was selling, and my mother sadly has Alzheimer’s.

It needed quite a lot of coordination and teamwork and I’m happy to report the company did their very best and the car was sold for the same price that we buy any car.com offered, but without the Sh**y nasty attitude I had from them (we buy any car)! Yes there was a negotiation on price, it did come down a little from the first offer, however when asked what I wanted for the car I was granted the price I wanted. Someone came to collect the car, and the money was transferred into my bank seamlessly and immediately. I do want to give a quick mention to Julian and Jake, two brilliant employees who went above and beyond to make sure we got the car sold. There were a few difficulties along the way because of missing paperwork on my end, which resulted in Julian driving to my mother‘s house to collect it, outside of OFFICE hours as she was not able to understand the posting situation. Without Julian‘s help we could not have proceeded. He was also very kind in keeping me up-to-date on a daily basis. I liked the way he gave me details of his car so my mother would know who he was and stressed that he would show her identification, he was very sympathetic to our situation. Jake who was the initial sales call not only was very good at his job, very communicative but also very funny and made the situation easy and straightforward. These guys may be smaller than other companies, you may be concerned about someone coming to drive the car away and waiting for a bank transfer, but they don’t drive the car without the funds appearing in your bank immediately (you get a call from a head office and get asked to check your bank ) and you don’t get asked for a fee to have the immediate transfer unlike you do with we buy any Car, also the price you discuss on the telephone is the price that you are given when they come to collect the car. The negotiations are done on the telephone, no driving to a Porta cabin, watching a pantomime ensue and being offered £1000 less. I can absolutely recommend this company. Easy! Thank you!

Great guy and a pleasure doing business with.

When it came to payout on the day there was agreements in place over a late arrival of V5 document delayed due to Royal Mail, but Mel stepped in and was super understanding and helpful.
She couldn’t do enough to help, and even after the event, still came back with a helpful solution after all solutions had been exhausted.

Overall a good experience and a lot better than their main competitor who shall remain unnamed - and have a reputation for not paying what they say they will.
