A successful repair with good service at a fixed price
I used Tech Centre for the repair of my son’s PS5 that suddenly stopped working. I like the fact that you only pay if the device can be repaired, and that the repair price is fixed.
Drop off at my local CEX was straightforward and I was able to keep track of the repair via the link provided.
The repair was successful (replacement board) with a quick turnaround. Collection was from the same store. And a little bonus was that I could redeem my CEX vouchers from previous sales to CEX to cover some of the repair cost.
All in all a very good experience!

Nice easy to follow process
Nice easy to follow process. CEX where however poorly trained in how to process the repair so it took around 35minutes to drop off and a few attempts to register the playstation as the serial number wasn't recognised but the repair was done took 2 weeks to do even through its stated as 7 days for the repair. All sorted now back home working as it should.

We’re sorry to hear that the drop-off at CeX took longer than expected and that there were some issues registering the serial number. While we don’t have direct control over how individual store teams process repair intakes, we do appreciate you highlighting this and will ensure the feedback is passed on.
Our standard repair turnaround time is 7 working days once the console is received at our repair centre. We work closely with DPD to keep deliveries running efficiently and are currently averaging 4.8 working days in-house. We also offer a DPD drop-off option, which typically ensures next-working-day delivery to us once collected.
Although we always aim to meet or exceed our 7-day target, there can occasionally be delays due to factors outside our control, such as courier disruptions.

Quick turnaround
I bought a used ps3 recently wanting to relive some old games. Only to find out it isn’t wasn’t reading discs and not spinning discs. Couldn’t find anywhere what fixed ps3s until I found techcentre so I sent it off and got it back within 5 days and it came back fully working so thanks a lot guys. Would highly recommend!

Great Service overall
They dealt with my controller the same day it arrived and was quick to come back to me as well so was less than a week they had controller. However one of the trigger buttons, L2 has come back squeaky and dont know how to go about them checking it under the warranty

They say they can repair or replace faulty parts, ie motherboard or other bits, sent my headset in needed parts , they sent it back and said it was unrepairable, goes against there policy. We can repair..

While we do repair and replace faulty components where possible, every device undergoes a full diagnostic assessment first. In some cases, particularly with certain motherboard or internal faults, the damage can be too extensive, uneconomical or unsafe to repair to a reliable standard.
