The cover works and it fits. I park over it all the time and it doesn't get in the way. It makes access to the storm shelter a little harder but keeps the bugs out.

He explained what the cover will look like and how sage and easy it is to have it covering the storm shelter. We are very, very happy that we have it now as our cover.

I’m very happy with this storm shelter cover. The weight is perfect—heavy enough to stay in place even during strong winds, but still easy to roll up. It fits snugly over the garage floor opening and doesn’t move when driven over.

It also does a great job keeping spiders and bugs out of the shelter, which has made a big difference. Overall, it’s a sturdy, secure cover that I’d definitely recommend.

The product is of fantastic quality. Heavy-duty but not unwieldy. It is a tightly woven mesh that still allows airflow to your shelter, preventing condensation and mold growth.

At first I was looking at a cover with magnets to keep it in place, but the Take Cover cover is heavy enough on its own to not move around. No magnets needed.

The customer service was above and beyond excellent. Within two hours of placing my order, the owner, Joel, noticed my address was local, called me, and offered to deliver it to my house same day! I’m happy that I was able to support a local business!

I’ve had the cover on my storm shelter for 3 weeks now and I’m thrilled! I have not had one single beetle, spider, or any other pest get into my shelter since placing the cover on! I previously had a terrible issue with what I referred to as my “beetle army and spider brigade” but they are gone for good now! As a transplant to the Midwest storm season has always brought anxiety. Now with our tornado shelter protected and secure from unwanted pests, I have peace of mind knowing our shelter is always ready, secure and easy to access at a moments notice. The cover itself is of exceptional quality, durable and very easy to use. The cover will help extend the life of our shelter and that is another huge benefit. Communication was excellent throughout the order and delivery process. Each step was acknowledged, with clear expectations set and met (exceeded) throughout.
The product itself is incredibly sturdy while at the same time being easy to install and use.
The craftsmanship is top notch, and it functions great.
The material conforms perfectly to every contour of my in-ground shelter's sliding door, and is also more breathable than I expected. It doesn't stick to my car tires at all when I drive over it the way plastic and tarps usually did on hot days.
As far as function is concerned, I've yet to find an insect in the shelter that didn't hitch a ride in on me.
For perspective, prior to the shelter cover install, insect incursions into our shelter were so frequent that I bought a battery powered vacuum to hang on the wall inside the shelter so I could dispose of the dozens of insects & other pests that inevitably crawled in between cleanings. I also went through 4 sticky traps / months and would frequently spray chemical pesticides in & around the shelter.
Even with all of the above mentioned countermeasures in place, prior to the shelter cover, I would find at least 5 spiders, 1-2 house centipedes, innumerable flies, moths, tree frogs, toads, snakes, and other living things in the shelter per day.
The cover makes my wife & kids infinitely more comfortable and less worried while inside. And when I'm away during tornado season I don't have to worry about my family going into the shelter without my having first cleaned all of the uninvited pests out.
It's paid for itself in peace of mind already. Thanks!!

Living in Oklahoma, we get tornados all year round. Take Cover allows our storm shelter to be severe-ready, whether it’s in the middle of tornado season or the random November storm. You can’t put a price on peace of mind!

This is is a REVOLUTIONARY product for people in the midwest. We are terrified of getting in tornado shelters with mice, spiders and snakes. Especially if you live in a rural or farm area, we'd often rather risk the tornado than risk a bite. Sure, we should clean out the shelter bi-weekly, but who really has time for that? We love this product. Why spend $6K on a shelter you'll never want to enter. All I can say is, this makes sense. Thank you!!!!
