I emailed Tailster regarding a query i had over being able to chat with clients over different platforms (whilst still ensuring I book through Tailster), in which Indy replied to my email fairly quickly. He was very helpful and I was able to organise an online meeting with a potential client thereafter :) I’m very happy with the service so far 👌

After investing time in filling out the profile, I was surprised by the request to pay a 10-pound verification fee. It's a red flag for scammers. Trustpilot check wasn't a surprise for me, tons of negative reviews made me delete the freshly created account and forget it forever.

Total rip off, went into administration 2 years ago, nothing said when I joined, took money but no results, just a rip off

I am a catsitter and the cat owner needed to cancel her booking. She has never used this service before, and I have never had to cancel a booking before so Indy frpm Tailster sorted it quickly and painlessly. Great service. Thankyou Indy

This ‘company’ is a sham. The negative reviews on here are spot on.
They continue to spam with emails despite numerous demands to be removed from their spamming email lists and my next stop is the ICO. Let’s see how it works out for them.

I floated my dates on Tailster. One sitter who was apparently available was 'booked' and the booking was 'confirmed' on the site, so my money was taken. The sitter almost immediately let me know that she wasn't free and she hadn't, actually, confirmed the booking, so I asked Tailster to cancel it and refund me. That was two months ago and I haven't heard back or received a refund.

I did finally receive the money back a few weeks after posting this - with no notification or contact other than the money arriving back in my account.

As a cat owner my self I am really looking forward to take good care of animals we love and respect as our own family members!

Scam ! As a Carer, you don't get paid! They take the money from pet owners, but they never pay the pet sitters. It should be reported to Action Fraud

This was my dog’s first stay with Lynn and she was happy there. Lynn made sure she understood Mimi’s needs and administer her meds as requested and kept me updated during the stay. I plan to use again. Thank you Lynn.

2nd update
Still waiting to be paid . I was advised as I’m not a premium member I would be paid 20 days after I withdraw the money .
I have asked can I become a premium member and get the money quicker . They actually answered me for once and now yet again have disappeared and are not answering .
So it’s onto taking them to court . No other way of dealing with these people . Just crazy as they took 30% commission on the first job I did and I have a handful of people wanting me to sit for them . They could get more 30% commissions but as I’ve told them I will not take on anymore jobs without payment .
Hopefully my reviews of these people will answer questions for others and make people steer well clear of this company

Update . My pet sit is now over . I had a wonderful dog come and stay and her owners were delighted but now guess what I’m fighting to get paid from these scammers . Please do not join and waste your money and do not pet sit if you get a job as everyone says they take the payment from the owner but don’t pay the carer . I’m taking them to court and will never use them again.

Trying to upload my id and bank details but keep asking me for a utility bill aswell. Which is in my partners name not mine. Been messaging now for days and days . No response . However if I was talking to a new client I’d get an instant message saying how it looks like you’re near to a meeting etc. this is just to get their commission . After this they don’t care one iota . Looks like I won’t be paid for the sit I’m doing right now .
I’ve done everything the way I should through the company so they get their commission and now they could not care less but don’t they realise no one will use them again after being treated like this .
Maybe look after the pet sitter and you will get multiple commissions . Think about it.

This app seemed perfect to get a bit of money while walking pets...I trusted them and paid, but so far after 3 months of waiting and looking i haven't got any jobs... also is very strange that the only jobs available are always the same and even though I've sent quotes they never replied... totally a scam app it's a shame. And I paid 9.99 that I've tried to get back but no one gets back to me.

Still owe me over £300 for pet sitting. I've contacted them 3 times and get no response.

They take your money and don't provide jobs. Never ever join this platform

I recently tried to signed up for a dog-sitting at Tailster website to try to expand on what I have been doing as a hobby. The sign-up process took forever, at least one to two hours, because there were so many questions and constant warnings. Every step, they kept reminding me that if I ever meet dog or cat owners outside of their platform, I will be fined. I understand having policies in place, but it felt excessive and repetitive to have to acknowledge it over and over during the process.

Then, after all that, at the final step they asked for payment. I do not understand why I need to pay upfront just to sign up, before even getting any bookings. It feels very dodgy. Afterward, I looked them up on Trustpilot and saw many negative reviews saying they do not even pay their sitters. Honestly, the whole experience is very concerning. I have signed up to much more popular pet-sitting platforms before, and none of them asked for payment just to create a profile, and none of them made the process this complicated. I would not trust them.

Thought I'd try signing up to earn a bit of extra money on the side. Hadn't even completed sign up process when I was sent an invoice and demanded I pay by the following day! This is very concerning. I didn't see anything about having to pay. Not sure this is even legal!! Have immediately closed my account which I hadn't even set up yet, and have emailed a few times asking them to cancel the invoice as I have close my account. Don't seem a trustworthy company and can see many others have had similar experiences! Stay away do not even try to sign up as they will invoice you out of the blue!

1st time use and booked a carer and paid over £250
I can not longer going away due to personal reasons and have tried to cancel the booking for a refund.
The booking is months away so plenty of cancellation notice and the carer is absolutely fine but Tailster well.
I've emailed, I've messaged I've tried to phone, beware none of their numbers work, big reg flag.
I've had no response at all, they are totally ignoring me and keeping my money.
I have contacted the bank and they are now investigating and said about administration or bankruptcy and will let me know.
If it is, it could be they are still taking bookings and clients money but not paying on to carers by the sound of other reviews and forums.
I hope this isn't the case but it sounds entirely possible that it might be, so I'd say stop booking but if you do pay your carer the cash instead, but stop paying paying Tailster.
All I asked for is to cancel my bookings and have my refund but I can't even get a response so not sure if I'll ever see money again.
I'll post an update if I ever get responded to or when the bank get back to me instead.

Tailster started off as a good app, for getting paid to look after pets.
However as time went on communication was poor or non existing.
After a while I stopped getting paid, at first I got excuses then they stopped replying altogether.
I ended up taking them to the small claims court.
There are better apps like Rover and Cat in a flat and more.
However seek word of mouth and find a good pet sitter who can offer a service you require.

I wouldn't book my pets through these.
