dunno about dodgy sellers but there…
dunno about dodgy sellers but there sure are a few dodgy buyers , that why stopped selling . send an expensive item buyer says not recived , then seller has to faff around trying to get a refund , from post office . paypal refunds buyer and you are minus your item . and very rarely get full amount refunded by post office . should be like other selling comapnies , take a photo of item deliverd , then unscruplious buyers . cant say oh ive not got my item ,

Just same old money grabbers
Been using ebay for years now. Haven’t had any issues up until recently. When they charge you for ad fees or such they make it near impossible to see what the invoice is actually for. Takes some digging to figure out what’s for what. Then out of nowhere they now want to take 13 odd quid from me without any explanation. I only sold one item for the period they’re charging me for and the ad fee has already been charged to me and came out of my bank account. I refuse to trust or use a company that find it okay to take money from customers with absolutely no explanation as to why.
Awful terrible experience
Awful terrible experience
i've been blocked for life because when i added google for security, the site automatically made another account, When i asked why my account is still suspended after said incident over 3 years ago, they told me my account (me) is blocked permanently, no appeal or anything.
Don't use Ebay unless you like being treated like a criminal, guilty without chance of proving innocence, being a law abiding citizen with a clean record means nothing nowadays.
Absolutely disgusting!
Absolutely disgusting!
There is absolutely zero support for sellers!
eBay supports Lies!
eBay supports Threats!
eBay supports Extortion!
eBay supports Abuse!
Even when you have proof in black and white on their own site of what the buyer has done they will still side with them.
Take your business elsewhere, eBay does not have your back if the buyer decides to mistreat you!
Too big for their boots
We have been selling on EBay since 1998 and have had our fair share of scams which have cost us money as Ebay always favour the buyer no matter what proof is offered by the seller. But since they have parted company with PayPal they have entered a whole new league of injustice. Since they have started taking card payments they are being conned with fraudulent cards and we are having to pay for their incompetence. We have taken 4 orders so far which we have delivered and tracked as per Ebays rules. They turned out to be paid for with fraudulent cards. We have no way of checking the card details as they are not paid to us. The banks have taken the money back from EBay and EBay have taken the money back from us.This is outrageous. We are so far over£1000 out of pocket due to their incompetence and lack of due diligence. They are simply too big for their boots and have deemed that as judge and jury whatever they say goes.

I sold a pair of shoes on eBay 3 years ago and they were re advertised on eBay without my knowledge and a woman bought them without my knowledge through PayPal and now wants the shoes which of course I don’t have I tried to tell her to cancel the transaction and tried to get help from eBay to no avail absolutely bonkers After several attempts I managed to refund the payment to the would be buyer and got EBay to call me the support worker said it was an unfortunate duplicate item for sale still not sure how that could happen 3 years after I sold the shoes..?
eBay sellers sell defective and rubbish stuff
Most of the people on eBay sells defective and non genuine stuff and eBay really support them cause of their percentage. Whenever I order I received cheap quality and defective stuff. I stop buying from eBay and strongly encourage people don’t buy from eBay. It’s just wastage of time and money.
Just be prepared to be scammed by buyers, and have eBay laugh at you
I’ve had written confirmation from ebay - a buyer can purchase an item, damage it and return it for a full refund.
The lack of replies on this site show how much they care.
The ebay support forums are full recently if these issues.
I won’t bother anymore.
Might as well take a risk with Facebook - what are we paying ebay as private sellers for? No protection, no customer service and funds held in limbo.
Don't use eBay as a seller
Don't use eBay as a seller. I was a private seller only listing items that were second hand and they have suddenly closed my account and taken my money and refuse to tell me why stating I went against their policies which I absolutely haven't. Completely shocked, would never use again
Got ripped off - Buyer Beware
Got ripped of by a company called Occassionally95. Bought a bra which was wrongly sized. When I tried to return for a refund they said I would have to do it at my own expense, then gave me an address for China, written in Chinese. The bra was posted from Birmingham uk. When I asked why can't it be returned to Birmingham, thy replied that it was my fault the bra was too small although I ordered my size. They offered me a 20% refund and keep the bra. Anyone want a bra of indeterminate size?
Everyone here seemed to have had awful…
Everyone here seemed to have had awful experiences, but in my case it was great. I sold and bought countless items on EBAY and had no issues, even with expensive items. And the fact you can click a button and speak with a human being straight away is a perk (no need to spend hours trying to get though a person).
Always great for saving money!
No seller protection
No seller protection, if the buyer want your item for free eBay just lets them have it. Doesn’t matter what your write in the description, what category it’s in. What parts they steal before sending it back, your out the money and they have a new item.
All the latest sellers on eBay seem to…
All the latest sellers on eBay seem to just lie through their teeth charging delivery 3 day couriers but then is 2-3 weeks late dispatched from Germany or China when clearly stating its from uk just don't use it if you are in a hurry
Used to be good - getting worse.
Used to be good.
Going downhill. Usually good for buying though they’ve made it harder to leave anything but good feedback and not honest feedback when sellers take ages sending items. As others have said - an increasing number of sellers pretending to be U.K. based when in reality goods are in China.
For sellers it’s got much worse recently. Final value fees are extortionate. The new payment system is geared up for them and not the seller. It’s a downgrade and eBay will try and hang onto your money for as long as they can.
3 stars is probably generous.
eBay charged me 104 pound for listing…
eBay charged me 104 pound for listing fees!
Didn’t even know there could be charges of you didn’t sell and item. Very rude customer services, American guy, he didn’t listen to me and put the phone down before I’d finished!
After this I spoke to a lovely Irish lady who
1: Listened to me and 2: got the charge revoked, cannot thank Gail enough

As a seller you are unprotected from fraudulent buyers
Shocking they now hold onto your money…
Shocking they now hold onto your money once buyer has paid and send it at there will
The item I sold is with the buyer but the money is still not with me !
PayPal was so much better
It’s now time for me to sell elsewhere
Chinese sellers masquerade as UK sellers!
Some have been mentioning Chinese sellers. Since I no longer trust a Chinese seller (unless they have verifiable independent positive reviews), I have clicked on the option of 'UK sellers only' to then find goods with a 3-4 week delivery time. I then click on the details of the seller to see, quite clearly, that they are IN CHINA!
It appears that they only have to register a single address in an office unit in the UK to qualify as 'UK', and I'm pretty sure that some office owner will be allowing companies to do this for a tiny fee (add them all up and ka-ching). Since it's possible for ME to check the seller's origin, ON the eBay details, I see no reason why eBay cannot do the same, and exclude foreign sellers from the 'UK sellers only' option.
If a buyer is adamant over that option, they're still as likely to buy, aren't they? It might even increase sales if you know that the option works! Id**ts (that full word is inappropriate, apparently) who can't see beyond their own greed!
