Unfortunately my insurance company referred my no- fault claim to Sovereign to provide me with a hire car whilst my licenced vehicle for tourist guiding was in repair. Sovereign couldn't provide any vehicle that matched the size or the brand of my car. The car assigned was not suitable at all for my pre-arranged tour bookings. I asked Sovereign at least five times to collect the hire car after few days as my own vehicle's repair was completed. Sovereign was very reluctant to pick up the hire car when I did not need it nor wanted to use it . The company's own aim is to have the hired (unsuitable) car out as long as possible so they can milk the insurance paying for it. They are time wasters (keep you on hold for almost 30 minutes) and money grubbers.

Horror story without happy end. Avoid at any cost and no excuses here - you were warned!
Car painted by some cowboys in N18 - now it has 3 shades of grey of which only one is original.
Also evidences of shitty work inside the car (only bumper was supposed to be painted, I never asked for any dots in the trunk nor on plastic elements of car body).
Once I raised the claim - no show from Sovereign and claim closed. 3-4 years later they got in touch asking for support on closed claim!
What a bunch of ... useless characters. I do not use "idiots" as it could could be an insult to idiots.

Absolutely terrible experience with Sovereign Automotive.

I was referred to them through Haven Insurance after my taxi vehicle was involved in an accident and taken off the road. From the beginning, the service was poor.

The first replacement vehicle they supplied was an estate car, which was completely unsuitable and not comparable to the vehicle I normally use for taxi work. They were unwilling to change it until I mentioned making a formal complaint. They eventually replaced it, but again provided another estate car that was still not like-for-like and was expensive to run due to fuel costs.

Customer service was rude, unhelpful and dismissive throughout the process. Communication was poor and I constantly felt like I was having to fight to get reasonable assistance.

My biggest concern was after entering into a credit hire agreement. I felt pressured and harassed for bank statements and financial information that, in my opinion, had little relevance to the service I had signed up for. The constant requests and aggressive approach made an already stressful situation much worse.

I would strongly advise anyone considering a credit hire agreement with this company to read everything carefully and fully understand what is being requested before signing anything.

Based on my experience, I would not use Sovereign Automotive again and would not recommend them. There is a reason why so many negative reviews exist online. Proceed with caution.

A horrific company to deal with. I had already had a bit of experience with them when my Dad was involved in an accident and just thought he was maybe unlucky but no it is a shambles.

I was involved in a very small bump in my taxi in January, just small paint damage. Sovereign were going to be arranging my courtesy car and it went a month of me chasing them to find out what was happening. First I was getting a superb then a Toyota corolla then a Toyota prius then an MG. They told me my council had then told them it was at least 3 weeks for a taxi test. I emailed the council who told me they had never had any correspondence with sovereign.

Went back to sovereign and the guy then told me that the MG wasnt even available so I was getting a kia, another month passed before they started to arrange a taxi test, they then booked it into a garage 75 miles away and not my garage. This caused another 2 weeks of hold ups. Eventually they had it booked in to my garage and the car FAILED the test. The fire extinguisher was 1 year out of date and the front brake pads were almost invisible.

They took the car away and said they would get it fixed and back again at some point and now I was without a car to work.

I told them to shove the cars where the sun doesnt shine and I will never deal with them again.

Absolutely rubish company. Being with them, calliing every single day for about more than 3 weeks yet no outcome. One answers the phone, passes on to someone else who is one break, or not available putting me on hold. Eventually she/he is not available and others make a promise they would give me a call back later or next day for the update. But I never received a call back from them. Absolutely disaster situation I have not received my courtesy car yet. Poor accountability, poor customer service, very careless.

These are scamers. Stay away from them at any cost

Trustpilot so should make changes on the rating for this company specifically so people can only leave review no rating.

What a terrible company and honestly surprised to see them still trading such a dominant way.

On 8th August they approved for the hired vehicle by the file handler called Matt and from 11th August to until today every single day they postponing the delivery in next day but this next day never turn up. The person handling the hired car called William Leitch. Every day making things up with new excuses and Heaven insurance company are unable to help in any way than leaving me in limbo with Sovereign Automative.

I am dreadfully disappointed, frustrated and in continuous loss in every way and yet they don’t accelerate things in any way.

Very bad experience couldn't provide licence private hire vehicle been told by heaven to complain which i been told someone going to me call they didn't bother calling i am never using this company again awful no customer service at all not recommended

Terrible company. How they are still trading is beyond me. Avoid if you can.

Twice i`ve had issues with this company on two occaisions.Sending me the wrong documents for a start.Then sending the right document too late which delays me working longer.The representitive on the phone actually asked me not to work using my car so they could claim for my loss of earnings whilst i was waiting for the car to put into the workshop.It only had two dents on the door thats all and i told him that.I`m paying for these clowns to be more competent than this.

Untrustworthy and keep telling lies.Will never have anything to do with this company again. They even asked the repairer for 10 percent for repairs for giving the job and going ahead and doing the repairs.Authorised the lrepair after telling desk top engineer looked at the photos to go back on workshop floor and relearn his trade. Then stopped the go ahead with repair two weeks after the go heead .Haviing since learnt insurance right offs are being shipped to India. Let’s stop this rip off . Not to be trusted.

Bad company and useless, acorn insurance refered me to them for replacement vehicle after a non fault accident. They basically turned around to say it was my fault even though I was hit from behind. So unprofessional m. They know nothing about accident. So I have been left with no vehicle because of them. More reviews online shows that they are not nice people .
