Important information hidden. UK music Licencing not included.
Absolutely 100% agree with the recent review made by Jacob. This company purposely hides important information regarding additional licencing requirements. All their slogans (eg. "now you can play music throughout your business with peace of mind") suggest that the licence is included. £26.99 is not cheap and the cost suggests an inclusive monthly fee. I would not recommend a company that works in this way.

Misleading information! And poor business methods
I have tryed soundtrack your brand, I think their business methods are very bad and pehaps even misleading for the customers. I was told that first month was free for the first location. When i logged into the system, one nice thing on their webpage is blinking to you - "you have one zone that you need to attend to" - so i did. I got 2 mails both of them says that i have 1 location with the excat same name, but one has the location and one has the location and the zone. But i gotten a mail from the sales manager that it was the same as 2 locations, not if you read the info in the mails comming from the same company. I can not get a decent answer why i have to pay for 2 locations, when i made the zone within the first location(that i was trying for free for one month). Soundtrack your business withdraws money instantly on your account eventhough its a trail month. I have now after a week gotten money back from 1 location(i was trying for free) and waiting to get an proper answer why i have to pay for a zone within that location!

In order for businesses to try out our service for free, we offer a 30-day trial for the first location you sign up with. Any additional locations or zones that are created will be charged for with a monthly or yearly fee, depending on what price plan you select when signing up.
If you’ve been wrongfully charged whilst still in your trial period or if there’s been a misunderstanding regarding the subscription structure of our service, we’d be more than happy to sort it out for you. In this case, it sounds like you accidentally signed up for a second location and we’re glad to hear that you got refunded for that. However, regardless if that’s the case or not; it would be great if we could have a closer look at your account and investigate in detail what occurred.

Music Service for Those Who Don't Care About Music
Extremely clunky. The library available for licensed public play is vastly different than the Spotify list.
Worst of all, it auto DJs daylong playlists based on dreadful AI suggestions.
If you care at all about your brand, you aren't going to let them choose the music, because they do a lousy job of it.
It's like going to a restaurant in the mood for pasta, but a stranger gets to order for you, and you're getting everything but pasta.
Renders it useless.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with our music selection. The licensing structure for commercial use of music is vastly different than licensing for personal use, which makes it difficult to offer the same content as a personal streaming service like Spotify can. However, we do offer the largest music catalogue in the world for businesses and it’s growing rapidly each day.
It would be great if you could expand on what mismatched songs you’re hearing and if you’re trying to target a specific business type (i.e. restaurant, spa, hotel), or if you have any other goals with the music that you’re looking for. We'd be happy to assist you in finding songs that fits you and your customers needs.

Difficult to navigate.
1. Pairing of device shouldn't be this complicated, should be like any other app, where you use sign in.
2. Making your own playlist should be easier, you should be able to do more on the app.
3. Playing a song without them "creating a soundtrack" should be an option
4. Why cant it be just like spotify? Many smaller bands are not available to play. Having a radio setting, not having to commit to a certain playlist very time. Difficult to navigate the que of songs and cancel playlists
5. Windows app is VERY limited. Pointless to have it.
Very disappointed in this service. Unfortunately, It is the only legal available real option for music in a business.

At Soundtrack, we want to make it as easy and fast as possible for businesses to access a more substantial music selection that fits their brand and supports their business goals - without having to spend a lot of time searching and preparing playlists. That's why we mainly offer ready-to-use Soundtracks made specifically for different business types next to other handy features targeted towards the needs of businesses, like the scheduling tool!
With that being said, it's important to understand that Soundtrack and Spotify cater to two different markets. We are a music streaming service for commercial use while Spotify is a music streaming service solely for personal use. Commercial licensing is a lot more complicated than the personal equivalent which makes it harder than one might think to offer the same level of customization and control as a personal streaming service like Spotify currently does.
However, this will soon change for the better! We’re launching a new product this year and users will have much more hands-on control over the music that’s being played. Based on the points you brought up, this should definitely be beneficial to you and solve most of your issues. So stay tuned!

Have you tried searching for Soundtracks on our Discover-page? We have a lot of music that go back as far as the 1950s. I would recommend "Feelgood Oldies" or any of our Soundtracks based on decades (70s, 80s, 90s etc.). You can also create a schedule and mix different Soundtracks together.

Loving working with Soundtrack Your Brand, being able to easily import both individual songs as well as play lists make working on the my hotels different music areas much easier and gives so many more options. The scheduling is very easy to use. The 'on site' music is also of great quality with a wide range of genre's. In short the best system I've worked with.
