Regarding the interface, because Soundtrack is built for business use, it includes features that personal apps like Spotify do not have—such as advanced scheduling, centralized management for multiple locations, and specialized zone controls. While this adds some layers to the design, we are constantly working to make the experience feel as smooth and familiar as a personal streaming app.
As for the music, I would love to help you find what you are looking for! We actually offer the world's largest catalog of licensed music for business, with over 100 million songs and more than 1,000 ready-made playlists that our music team refreshes regularly.

Don’t dare to make a mistake — they’ll charge you
We used Soundtrack for a little over two years in our restaurant. The song selection is decent and the integration into Sonos works well.
The big disappointment? By accident, trying to fix a Sonos bug, we created a new zone, but deleted it within minutes when we realised what we’d done, and never used it. Soundtrack insisted that we pay a full month’s service for those few minutes and customer care didn’t do a thing to help. A refund was “against their policies”.
The good news? In my frustration at having to pay €55 for something I never used, I found Soundsuit which we just switched to.
There’s always a silver lining!

Service is reliable and of high quality
We appreciate the regular updates of the playlists, especially special compilations for Halloween or Christmas.
The Windows app should be improved: For example, the ability to sort the own playlists. The indication of the BPM would also be desirable.
Overall, their service is reliable and of high quality.

Zero customer service
Really poor service. There's no customer service except via email and they always copy/paste the "help" that's on their page. No calls possible.
I base the quality of a company on how they handle when something goes wrong. Soundtrack doesn't handle anything that goes wrong. You're completely on your own.
Had the service 6 months now and it went down 4 times. That's just not acceptable.
Oh and when you create your playlists, they have an algo that picks the songs instead of running through the whole playlist. So you may hear the same song 3 or 4 times in a span of a few hours even if your playlist is 12 hours long?!!? We asked them to switch the algo off and they said they can't. Super weird.
It's slim pickings out there for music services for businesses but they certainly are not the way to go.

Song choices an absolute disaster…
Let me set the scene; you are sitting in a quaint wine bar enjoying a glass of bubbly when all of a sudden you hear the unmistakable sound of “my neck, my back, my p***y and my crack.” While an undeniable banger in the right context, this setting was certainly NOT the vibe. Let’s keep in mind the station the employees have chosen was NOT “undeniable bangers” but rather INDIE POP, neither of which this song is. In addition to this instance, on the ABBA station the National Anthem came on… they aren’t even an American band! The algorithm is a complete mess and NOT appropriate for businesses at all. Would never recommend this company.

We are sincerely sorry to hear about the completely inappropriate experience you had. Hearing songs like "My Neck, My Back" on Indie Pop Stations is unacceptable and not how Soundtrack is designed to work for businesses. This is certainly not the right vibe for a wine bar.
We take the appropriateness of our music very seriously, and it sounds like there was an issue with either the Station's content or how it was created. We will review the Indie Pop and ABBA Stations to make sure this content is not included in those or any similar Stations.
Another way of preventing explicit music from being played is to activate the Explicit filter. You can activate this feature in your account settings at app.soundtrack.io, and it will automatically filter out any explicit content.
We would like to dive deeper into this and find out more about exactly how the songs ended up playing in your location. Please contact us at support@soundtrack.io with your account details when you get a chance.
