Solidarity HealthShare is the LOWEST rated healthshare out there, and for good reason. We have paid their $450+ monthly premium for years and the couple items for which we've actually tried to use them have been a nightmare. Bills for a minor hand surgery were ultimately sent to collections, while my wife fielded collections threats for months. I could not even get my once a year physical, because the hospital's billing department would not approve further services. The latest is now the birth of our 10 month old daughter. 10 months!!! And Solidarity has not issued a penny for anything. They have no shortage of stall tactics. Criminal. Their phone reps exude hypocrisy by patronizing you with promises of "prayer". The Christian faith they tout is dead, as condemned in James 2:16: "Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body", even though you pay 100's per month. Solidarity Health Share is by no means Christian. It does not even exhibit practices of human decency. Do your research. Steer clear of Solidarity Health Share.

UPDATE: It is now more than two weeks later and I have not heard one thing from Solidarity. Not one thing. Even though they responded to my review AND to a Facebook Messenger post and said someone would be reaching out to me. Seriously considering how to take this a step further.

I don't know what to do in regard to this company. They owe us around $2000 and they owe our providers well over $2000. Some of these bills are from 2021, most from 2022. I talk with them regularly and they keep saying they have all the information they need and telling me payments are "set to go to member" or "set to go to provider" for months now. I'm at my wits end. I'm feeling like this is a scam. We've been paying into this company for years and never made a claim for reimbursement until 2021 (which was nominal). Then in early 2022 my husband had a routine colonoscopy and we paid cash for it, assuming we would be reimbursed. Nothing. I'm a life long member of the Catholic church and this is all so distressing. I can't believe they can say they are part of the church. I feel this is spiritually and morally wrong, not to mention possibly criminal since they've been taking my money for years and now I get zero benefits when I need them.

Never use solidarity, unlessmyou want to waste your time being insulted by the customer service.They run your bills through thier sister company Amps to get the bill "approperatly" priced.This is just a way to hold the bill until it goes to collections. We call solidarity they claim we need to talk to Amps. We calll Amps they either blame our submission or tell us to call solidarity. It is a scam, never use them. I have bills 16 months old in collections they claim they are working.

We have called your team about once every two weeks. The email you sent detailed about 25 bills that haven't been paid. You refuse to pay some that are for $100 from 2 YEARS AGO! Most of these bills are in collections.

Of these bills, one you managed to pay the wrong provider, in the wrong state! That was about 6 months ago, somehow you are still trying to figure out how to fix it.

Many of the bills have to be resubmitted several times because you are unable to process them correctly, and several are incorrect even after we've attempted to correct many times.

Then you send an email stating that "this is good thing"!! I fail to see how losing access to our doctors, you not paying simple bills for 2 years and the added frustration is "a good thing"!

I don't understand how you can mishandle our finances so poorly.

Same story as all the other 1 stars. They kept delaying payment to the hospital until the hospital finally stopped giving extensions and sent it to collections. We ended up having to pay in full through the collection agency. It is a terribly run company! They are NOT a Christian company! A Christian company would not treat its share members or the healthcare providers the way they do. By the end of our time with them it began to feel like a scam.

I will try to keep this short. I have been in healthcare for 20 years as a provider. I understand the pain of dealing with insurance companies. I was pleasantly surprised when we found Solidarity. That surprise turned to disappointment the moment we needed them. They stall, create confusion, delay, create more confusion, deflect, etc. They have given me poor advice that would have lead to collections and a negative hit on my credit. They are not helpful, even when they say "God bless" or "have a blessed day". They fly the flag of Christianity while hiding behind a curtain of secrecy and deception. One day they will be exposed like Fyre Festival and LuLaRoe. It will make nice documentary.

Solidarity will not/cannot process things in a timely manner. We joined in mid 2022 and have not had a single bill processed (except bills which they can deny sharing into) or paid. We currently have about a dozen bills waiting in a que starting back in July 2022, all the the label "New" totaling some thousands of dollars - all of which are the result of (in theory) 100% shared well child visits. I did not join a healthshare to never have bills resolved. The customer service offered is always conciliatory and vague. Basically, "We have seen improvements...", "A healthshare is different...", and "We will get to them eventually...". Though I cannot trust that will happen. I hate to have my faith in this company so badly disillusioned, but I would not trust them at all. I am not sure why "A healthshare is different than traditional insurance" is an excuse they use for not processing bills in any semblance of timeliness.

Just talked to Solidarity on the phone per the reply I received. Not very helpful. Same basic reply except... They had processed at least one bill in the original amount of $850 dollars from a well child visit (I still cannot see they that have because it has not been batched... Not sure why they cannot release them until they have been batched instead of when they are created. Anyway the numbers are rounded as I cannot see the exact amounts). They repriced it to somewhere in the $500's and a whopping $120 of it was sharable. That is not what I would call 100% sharing for a well child visit. Don't waste your time or money; it would have been more effective for us just to self pay from the beginning.

I can’t seem to get my Dr. bills paid. I’m calling several times for an update and my bills have been approved but the bills are not being paid. I understand a backlog but I’m getting letters that if my bills are not paid by certain dates they will be turned to collections.

Update: Claim from 2021 is still in process, unpaid. LOL.
They don't pay claims. I work for a provider that submitted a bill over a year ago that has not been paid. They just tell me it is "set to share". . . at some point. Supposedly they are "backlogged." That's quite the backlog, though I suspect it is more of a funding issue!

I recently called about the referral program and a bill I have been waiting to be reimbursed for. I called and explained the situations. I was told that I would be receiving the 100.00 gift card promised for the referral I made. Still waiting on the reimbursement of a bill I paid out of pocket. Even though it does seem to take a very long time to get bills taken care of everyone has always been very kind and helpful when I have called. When I think about the amount of money we have saved having Solidarity Healthshare instead of traditional Health Insurance the extra time and effort has been worth it.

I can’t express how disappointed I am in this organization. I have given up on expecting to be reimbursed for expenses that, according to Solidarity’s Wellness Program, are reimbursable. I have made my appeal for reimbursement to Solidarity many times now. In my case the procedure was a scoping colonoscopy. All of my expenses are over 400+ days old and have been accepted/approved by Solidarity but are “being processed” or “in the queue”. Having this procedure available as a “reimbursable expense” according to the Wellness Program was one of the major reasons we joined Solidarity. Your website states that, “Solidarity Healthshare conforms to the moral guidelines of the Catholic Church…” Nevertheless, it is morally wrong to fail to adhere to your own moral guidelines which are the basis for your organization.

I have lost all trust in this company. They do not do their job promptly or correctly and I as a paying customer end up spending too much of my time trying to submit bills that will probably never be processed correctly. They are a horrible scam and I do not and will never recommend Solidarity. I have been a member for years now, with no improvement in those years, and I can not wait to switch.

Had a nightmare situation with 2021 bills unpaid. In the last couple months, they’ve stepped up, contacted the hospitals, settled the bills. They have a team called Amps (not sure of spelling) who are rock stars. They negotiated everything away. I am praying for all here who are dealing with this. And I’m praying Solidarity continues to dig out of the hiccup they experienced coming out of COVID.

I've got bills that are over a year old that still haven't been paid! This means I have to call the billing dept every single month in order to keep them from sending me to collections. Not happy with them at all.

Been waiting for Solidarity to pay bills from 2021! Poor communication from company-they ask me to resubmit bills, tell me my bills are in processing but can’t give me a date by which they should be cleared up, have me resend info multiple times (provider name, address, fax, phone, cpt codes etc) which I’ve already sent in order to avoid being sent to collections… worst of all is the confusion around how even the most basic things are done. I have had two children with Solidarity and the process of prenotification, billing, etc has changed hugely between the two births. No one who works for them, except David apparently, seems to know how Solidarity works.

This company will not pay your bills. The keep promising that the check in in process. They take up to 2 years to reimburse you. You have to wait hours on the phone to speak to anyone, and then they all give you the same excuse, that they cant do anything and a manager is not available. Please do not put yourself through the headaches that we have had with this company. They have given a bad name to being a Catholic company.
