We have had Knew for about 7 years now and I've NEVER turned anything in, didn't even really know how it worked...UNTIL, of course, I started having problems! To be reimbursed for "alternative solutions" is practically unheard of, but that impressed me right away. Now needing to submit health needs left and right, they have been so supportive and helpful. What I've enjoyed the most is a more personalized customer service experience. Talking on the phone or over e-mail with the same person instead of someone different every time has been SO helpful. They actually ANSWER their phones and you don't get re-routed 100 times. Top-notch customer service.

Bait and switch

When I originally signed up my initial IUA was only $500 and then this year it went up to $1000 - and of course this was announced after open enrollment for real health insurance passed so now I’m stuck. Here’s the even more fun part… apparently maternity is different from any other need so the IUA is $5000 instead of $1000. This information was never disclosed to me during my initial sign up. They told me there was a waiting period not that the IUA was significantly higher. My employer health plan would have covered much more.
Additionally they make the reimbursement process very difficult. There is nowhere to update the bank account and routing info yourself you have to submit a bank letter. I asked if I could give that info over the phone and they declined (for security reasons which is understandable). Well then I gave up and just asked them to mail me a check and CONFIRMED my correct updated address. Well, they still sent it to my old address.

It’s already so much work on the customers end to submit bills, constantly follow up, have to do multiple outreach attempts to the healthcare facility and then knew health that the $67 reimbursement didn’t even feel worth it. The monthly fee for knew health is a lot but we still have to do SO much work it almost puts their value proposition out of alignment because all the time wasted on getting things to go through properly id rather just have traditional health ins where they do it all for me.

Disappointed. Stuck. And very upset with my experience.

I've been a Knew Health member for several years now and when initially signing up, I felt a bit suspicious, like it was too good to be true. After many doctor visits and years being a member, I am happy to say that it's as great as it sounds! I am currently amidst pregnancy for my first child and they've made the process extremely easy, personable, and comforting amidst a larger life event. I've never before experienced being able to stay in communication with an actual dedicated person throughout the prenatal process with traditional insurance before, it's been incredible to have a point of contact. Can't recommend them more!!

My wife and I are early retirees, and finding quality, reasonably priced health insurance was a challenge until we found Knew Health about 3 years ago. I personally love the philosophy of Knew Health, encouraging preventative health care, and financially responsible medical care. Until this year, I have paid into Insurance and never had a claim. This apparently was my year, and I could not have asked for a better cost share provider than Knew Health. Getting a difficult to cure bacteria infection from an animal bite was far from a “normal claim” and Knew Health has been great to work with. Starting with the unplanned ER/Hospital stay, surgeries, and various inpatient and out patient pharmacy fees that added up way faster than I would have imagined, Knew Health has covered everything but my out of pocket portion. Yes, the administrative efforts as a patient with Knew Health is more than that of a traditional health insurance but the cost is about half of traditional insurance. Who cares if you have to send in your receipts, the sharing process is very easy to do online, the customer service has always been there to help with any of my questions, and has kept me informed of all outstanding needs requests. Personally, I wish all healthcare was like Knew Health, so people could be more involved in their health costs which would ultimately bring down healthcare costs and take money out of “big insurance”. I recommend Knew Health to every family member and friend that even mentions health insurance, as I believe they are what medical coverage should be. Thank you Knew Health for creating a business that is for patients, not for stock holders!!

Switching to Knew Health was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my well-being. They are kind, sincere, prompt and courteous. I wish I had know about it sooner. I’m super happy and tell everyone about them.

I’ve been with Knew Health for about 10 months and just got a preventative healthcare reimbursement. It was my first time requesting one and it was unbelievably easy to do. I needed to provide one other piece of documentation I forgot and Sandra emailed me in less than 24 hours requesting more info. I provided and within hours had approval that my reimbursement was on its way. I’ve also ordered tons of supplements with Fullscript and it’s been amazing to have the discount knew health provides with it. Additionally, I’ve gotten labs with evexia and it’s been pretty easy as well (though evexia’s ordering site could use an upgrade). I wish there were more labs available but I am someone that needs extensive labs and not just your general panels. Overall I have peace of mind having knew health so far!

I've always hated traditional health insurance and I was excited and nervous to try out a health share. So far I'm loving it! The monthly price is WAY lower than what we would be paying for insurance since my husband works for a small business. It's about 1/3 the cost for the premium and so far everything has been reimbursed that I've submitted for. I love that we can still have well visits, blood work, telehealth and some self care completely paid for. The things we do need to pay out of pocket such as sick visits/ urgent care are worth it compared to how much we're saving monthly. I've also learned that self pay prices are so much lower than what providers bill when they're sending it to insurance. So it's not that scary being self pay for some things! Customer service is great and they always respond quickly and kindly. I haven't had a huge medical issue come up yet, but I am confident they would provide excellent service if I need it based on how they've responded to the medical needs we've had so far.

As someone who has used and been disappointed w Health Shares in the past, I was apprehensive about joining Knew Health. My concern has completely been eliminated after the very first time putting in a claim. The communication was amazing and my bills were taken care of immediately. I could not have asked for a better experience. If anyone is looking for a health share, Knew is a great choice.

Knew Health has been such a blessing for my family. We moved to Knew Health from another heath share that was just not as good as I was hoping. Every time I needed to call KH the folks on the other line were extremely helpful and able to answer the questions that I had. The process for selecting the plan tier was easy and auto pay was smooth. My family had a few need requests throughout our two years with KH and all of them were handled very quickly and smoothly. I have been nothing but impressed with the entire program.

I did not utilize all options, but knowing they were available was a sigh of relief.

This company is INCREDIBLY fast and responsive. I have received reimbursement for my (covered) expenses in less than twenty four hours after submission (excluding time for it to post to my bank account.) It is incredibly easy to get ahold of a real representative to ask any questions, they are kind, English is their first language which helps avoid communication issues, and honestly they are very competent. I have had zero issues getting reimbursement for expenses that are stated as covered. I've really appreciated getting reimbursement for PPD treatment, which has been a lifeline in this postpartum season. Have nothing bad to say about KnewHealth. Love the intentionality at them being a little more root cause focused than some other cost sharing programs.

I'd never been a part of a health share before and was nervous to see how a serious situation would be handled. When I had an urgent need, Knew Health delivered. The customer service was amazing. I worked with Kerry the whole way through the claim. She understood that it was time sensitive and she returned my calls and emails promptly. Within 3 days I had my surgery approved for coverage, within 7 I had it performed. After working together to negotiate the various bills down, Knew Health sent me the money to pay all of them off before they were due. They really came through and I'm so grateful I decided to join!

I was exploring health sharing and was able to get on a call with Juliet Smith who talked me through how a health share works and everything that Knew Health offers. We talked for over an hour and I felt comfortable and informed to make the decision to move forward. Then once we started our membership I was able to meet with Nicole Negron who very clearly walked me through the website and discussed use cases for how to make the most of the membership. After having had traditional health insurance for my whole life, this was a breath of fresh air and has made me feel more controlled and a little less bitter about healthcare and the systems available. Thank you!

The team is human and English-speaking (which is increasingly rare these days) but on top of that they are responsive, communicative, and timely, taking care of things immediately and giving updates. They are proactive and think outside the box; if they see that something would be helpful to do or to let me know about, they do it (as opposed to doing the bare minimum as late as they could, like my previous healthcare coverage team). Keep up the good work!

Knew Healths's people really make the company. Every time I call, they are super helpful & take care of my issue efficiently. They really seem to care. I feel like the computer program is very intuitive, easy to upload docs and see what's going on. Reimbursement comes quickly.

We've had Knew Health for years, and they have been consistently great. I need to have ACL and meniscus surgery on my knee, and they sent me a virtual credit card to prepay for my surgery. Throughout the process, I worked with Tosha, who was super-responsive and helpful. Much better than any experience I had with traditional health insurance, including a Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, let alone a bronze-tier Marketplace plan, which would cost our family about the same amount as Knew Health.

I'm a physician and my family and I have been using knew health for 1.5 years now. Everytime an issue has come up they're staff has been responsive and helpful. I've had a few suprise health issue with my family and have had all of them reimbursed as I expected without delay or issues. I've recommended this service to friends and family and really can't understand why anyone would pay higher prices for worse service. As a self pay you can see any doctor and arrange payments and negotiate putting you back in charge of the bills. Same with lab work, I used to have suprise bills that came to me and I'd have to call and argue. Now we just order the labs, prepay if we have to, and never get a bill it's really amazing! Highly highly recommended!!

Knew Health definitely gave me some peace of mind around my health while I worked at a company that didn't offer health insurance. The customer service has been stellar throughout my time with them.

We've been with Knew Health for about 2 months and so far it has been a great experience. Being able to choose our doctors is key and submitting paperwork for a reimbursement is quick and easy.

We had a previous health share for insurance and then switched to Knew and they are far and away better! Not only are they lightning fast in replying to everything I submit, but they are also very helpful in customer service. We are also saving hundreds per month for our family of seven and getting better coverage. 10/10 would recommend Knew!
