I guess you get what you pay for!
Experience has been really great in many ways--the only con is the cost for our family on their premium tier is ridiculously expensive. However I have struggled to find something better or even worse much cheaper. I think the market is just jacked up beyond all reason. But to pay almost $1000 a month for a family of 3 makes it SEVERELY tempting to just deposit it all into an account every month and take care of ourselves lol. So why don't we? Well, let me tell you the PROs of being with KnewHealth thus far (we have used all of our wellness checkups, and two of us have used the bloodwork feature. One of us also suffered a knee injury and surgery, all while on Knew Health membership).
First thing, is they are FAST!! I used to be on Samaritans, and the process was a living pain in the butt and then you waited a month for processing, then another month or two for it to go out to members, then half a month for said members to send you the funds. Knew Health GETS IT DONE. I submit stuff, get confirmation email when it lodges into their system, then confirmation (or explanation for holdup) when it has been processed. And literally they throw the check in the mail instantly. It would be even faster no doubt if I had set up direct deposit, but it is amazing to know I can trust their turnaround.
Another thing I love about them is that they are smarter than me!! They helped advise when some offices sucked at getting us the CPT coded paperwork etc. They also advised when an expense seemed way overpriced. They have called the hospital and offices and negotiated and/or paid things on our behalf which were previously approved. And my favorite bit, I scan a whole crap load of paper trails into our account, and they read it and tabulate it and make sense of it way better than I do. I have loved that about them. They will even tell me, Hey this one bill we have not received an invoice for yet. AMAZING
Also, I like how they are extremely easy to get in contact with via phone or email. In fact, I think I have a "person" I always speak with who solves all my problems and knows my mania lol. I'm not sure if she is The Lady to talk to, or if I am in her case load haha, but the consistency is nice. And CERTAINLY knowing that if I shoot her an email, I will hear back during the immediate next set of business hours (or current set of business hours lol). She often responds with updates faster than I do!!
It was also a HUGE savings to do our bloodwork through Evexia labs. My dr is holistic and did not have huge confidence that Evexia through Knew Health would be cheaper--but boy I was glad she was wrong! All my many labs cost about $150 or so (plus Knew Health covers a great chunk of labs for their yearly wellness /preventative efforts). It ended up super cheap out of pocket. Well after meeting with my dr to discuss results, she ordered some retests after 6 months. What is wild is (not positive it was an IDENTICAL set of testing, but I assume similar since she specifically said "retest") the set she ordered rang up to over $900 on her paperwork! YIKES!! I think Knew Health can beat that lol

Our experience with Knew Health over the past couple of years has been excellent. We were stressed about not having a traditional insurance plan but Knew Health has done everything they claim they do, they have great customer service, and we feel their plan is a better product than traditional insurance.
I have to mention that John and Sandra are extremely helpful!

Working with Knew Health has been fantastic! When I first joined a few years ago, I was nervous, breaking from the insurance establishment and all that. My mind wondered, "Will they actually cover things when they come up? Is this too good to be true?" But I trusted my gut and I'm soooo thankful. It feels like working with real humans, their customer service is amazing, and they are always prompt to get back to me. When I have questions, I can send a quick email and know that I'll have answers presently. Plus it also just feels good to be working with a company and community that are trying to do things differently. Thank you Knew Health!

Their platform is very easy to use, customer service is amazing, and they are always quick to process claims and respond. This membership was great for me and saved me a ton of money as a small business owner. I have (and will continue to) recommend this service to anyone I know. Very happy with our choice so far!
We have used Knew Health for our family for the last 6 months or so and have been very impressed. Our previous healthshare experience with Liberty was poor. The customer service at Knew Health is fantastic! They are responsive, reimburse quickly and keep you up to date when you have a medical situation. We highly recommend!

Very positive experience
We are members of Knew Health and want to give a shout out to John B. I had several interactions with John leading up to my husband's recent surgery. John calmly and skillfully navigated us through the process and ensured that we had the funds needed to proceed prior to the surgery day. He truly was our "calm in the storm". Additionally, despite the large expenses associated with surgery, Knew Health held true to their guidelines as John ensured our out of pocket costs were limited to only the Initial Unshareable Amount we agreed to when we became members. All around very positive experience!

Happy with our experience
We were with Knew Health for 3 years, recommended by my brother in law, and it suited us well. We did not have any major medical during this time (thank goodness), but the small incidences we did have were covered as laid out and in a timely manner. I especially appreciated the preventative health care reimbursements. I do recommend to friends.

HealthShare is the future of Healthcare
I signed up for Knew Health in May with the plan to begin in June. It seemed pretty straightforward so I figured I’d give it a try to see how we like it as a family of four. So far, it is so much better (both more affordable AND less stressful) than traditional health insurance! I took both of my children for an annual check-up and, after a bit of a learning curve of figuring out exactly what to ask for at the doctor's office, I submitted the info to Knew Health and received a reimbursement for part of the cost of services. It is so much more transparent than traditional health insurance PLUS you have extra benefits included such as two free Health Coaching sessions per year and other nice perks. Not only that, but the turnaround time is so much quicker and the process much more personalized. I submitted my itemized invoices online and quickly received an email response from a HUMAN. I highly recommend giving this healthshare plan a try. It is a much more proactive approach to healthcare than traditional methods. 🙂

Works for me!
After my dad turned 65, I was left to figure out health insurance even before the age of 26. I am self-employed, and I earn too much to qualify for subsidized healthcare. I found health insurance to be a complete waste of money. I spent a lot of time researching options, and chose Knew Health. I am so happy with my choice. They are very transparent with what they will share, and everything is reimbursed in a timely manner. Maybe the only downside is sometimes I get strange looks from Dr office receptionists, but that is so worth it for the thousands of dollars I have saved already! Here’s how I’ve saved:
-I actually take advantage of the preventative care (covered all but $30 for both an adult annual and well-woman) AND I choose my doctors
-All my regular blood work was easy and free
-I sprained my thumb and went to urgent care. Because I was self pay and could pay right away, my bill went from $1000 (with insurance) to $400
-I got five months of gym membership reimbursed with the self-care credit
I am so satisfied to actually be getting services I use in exchange for the membership. It is a smart and simple approach. Though I am lucky to not have incurred any severe injuries or illness, my experience with Knew Health so far has given me a lot of confidence that I will be taken care of. Health shares are not for everyone. But health insurance is no white knight either. Health insurance will do everything they can to NOT pay what they say they will pay. So if theres a real problem, you might have to go through a whole lawsuit just to get them to do what they said they would do. Knew health says what they will pay for and they pay it. So read their guidelines thoroughly, and decide if they make sense for you. Theres no fighting, no waiting on hold, no lawsuits. They are super easy to get ahold of and everyone in their team is pleasant and easy to understand. Cheers to knew health!
