Skypostal Shopify Native Integration - Astoundingly Pathetic!
Astoundingly pathetic. Apparently, the Shopify app has been successful with uploading the data from Shopify to their portal using a CSV file. This is their first attempt to natively integrate it with Shopify.
For starters, you have a lady (a VP) that reaches out to you regarding introduction to the app without specifics which you are told the person (a Manager) will fill you in. So, the VP cannot even answer if live rates would show in Shopify or not as apparently, they truly don't know the app features. Ditto with the Manager as they are thoroughly familiar with the file upload version of the app but, not this one.
Mind you, no one informed me that I was going to be their first install and a test-case! They outsource the implementation to Itembase. That was another disaster. Two calls, no follow up. Then, IB says they need Skypostal (SP) integration team involved. Skypostal integration team asks for information that I have spent considerable time providing to IB during our calls. "Try this, try that," helping them with all their trial and error efforts. I asked IB if they had not in fact tested the app. They were honest enough to tell me that they had only done sandbox simulations. Not real world tests!
Then, SP team drops the ball because they didn't get all the information they needed. Back to me writing to the VP, copy Manager, no response. Follow up and am told that SP team is waiting for information to be updated in their ticket. WELL! Get the information from your IB implementation team! Nope. They expected me to provide it.
All this after I informed them up front that I had ad campaigns in 5 LATAM countries waiting to be run based on getting their app/shipping solution going. That, apparently didn't register with them. Or, they didn't care.
It is difficult to track who is responsible for what - VP or Manager or IB or SP. Until they have the app fully tested in real world and with multiple implementations, stay away!
