Become poor value for money

This service was good, and reasonable value until last year. The increase in price for the viewing card from £55 per year to £200 is not reasonable. Having received a reply from this company I will also add. The service was not available at all from mid August 2019 through to 14th November 2919! No credit received for the time I had no service, despite having paid for the viewing card.

The renewal fee was previosuly £55 every 6 months. This covers the management of the card and providing the address. The cost increased last year to £100 every 6 months and was the first increase in our renewal fee in 12 years.

This is still cheaper than all other companies offering the same service. We also don't require the card back or pay to cancel like many other companies.

I wrote an email explaining that our tp-link reuter wasn't working although our internet router was.
I had an immediate response to say that the problem was fixed !
I was pleasantly surprised at the speed this was done.

Never had a problem

Never had a problem, customer for several years and service from Tom is always prompt and courteous.

Update - now up and running in Iraq with my now tv box and vpn router. From order to delivery in Cyprus to install in Iraq took 5 days.

Tsk tsk Tom. Don’t tell lies on a public forum. I did not cancel my card – it got cancelled. I tried to renew but you could not do so for many weeks and until after the rugby world cup (god forbid). You could not deliver and then Traded off my desperation to watch the RWC you upsold me an expensive unpleasant system. And when I accept losing all that time and money you try to kick me again. I must admit when we had a problem a long time ago over unauthorized expense on my c/c I accepted the ‘mistake’ explanation. After reading some reviews here and on other expat blogs I don’t think that naively anymore. Suffice it to say clients should watch their c/c statements like a hawk. Options that expat blogs and forums seem to speak well of are UKSatellite.tv and stream-tube.

Our staff have also tried on numerous occasions to contact you by telephone and there has been no answer. A terrible company to deal with

A terrible company to deal with. One particular customer service agent called Tom has proved to be surly, rude and actually dishonest. Their sky sevice failed early in August and was not available again until November, and yet they kept charging me for it.
Their claim that payments for the service stopped at the time of failure is false, and I have the bank statements to prove it. I am also still waiting to be informed of a refund being made.

We had a number of Sky viewing cards in August which needed to be replaced. The monthly subscription payments for these cards stopped at the point of when the service stopped.

Skycards.eu have now replaced the Sky Hosted viewing cards for all customers throughout Europe. New Sky viewing cards are now available to order on the website.

Helpful with a quick response

Whenever I have had a problem or a question I have always had a swift response and great help. It is important to me to have confidence in any business. I always appreciate any effort made and I have been helped at all stages of any problem I have had.

Can't fault them!

I have used both the SkyGo service with VPN and the VPN router subscriptions (which I am still using) - the services have both been very high quality and provided high speed connection to the UK network.
The staff have been great on the odd occasion I have had an issue; they respond quickly and provide detailed instruction on what needs to be done to reconnect. This was the same for when I switched contracts, allowing me to keep the SkyGo service until the day my VPN router arrived in the mail.
Really a great service and meaning I can escape German TV!

Stay away.
I am so disgusted in the customer service of skycards.eu.
I only subscribe to the service to watch my team one game a week. Three times in a short period the log in details i received stopped working and I missed the game.
After sending mails every time never an apology or acknowledgement that they failed to provide a product i pay for.
Today it happened again and I missed the game again, after a mail explaining the situation and asking for compensation the only reply i received was that it would be best to cancel my membership.
Absolutely stunned at the awful customer service.
Stay away from this company

Terrible and they did theft by taking

Terrible and they did theft by taking money out that was not allowed. So why did they take money out of my visa which was not authorized. What did they do for me nothing Still waiting for my money back they said they partially reimbursed me totally false. Told me if I send the equipment back I would get my money back and I asked for a guarantee on that but no answer. Beware they are linked to no sat limited. I got money taken off my visa the same month a few time.

We have had to cancel this customer's account due to their aggressive and at times irreverent responses to members of our staff . There was no theft, the customers viewing card was due to be replaced and they didn't want to wait. Most viewing cards have now been replaced . We have tried to help this customer and have offered time scales and alternative products.

PERSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS: PLEASE READ AND BE WARNED

I would like to inform perspective customers of my experience and leave it upon them to decide if it would be more advantageous to find a more suited company from which to acquire their SKY card.

I originally received erroneous information regarding my satellite connection at the beginning of August,2019, and when I delved to get a clearer answer, I was ignored. Sadly, only after I used more forceful and harsh words did I get the following answer:

'Your account has been cancelled. We will refund the last renewal fee. Please go elsewhere for your service.
Thanks Tom.'

After having written e-mail after e-mail, asking questions which went unanswered, was I FINALLY informed as to the actual problem of my Sky Card. I was offered another type of system and when I asked for a more thorough explanation, my questions were ignored, and my subscription cancelled. I was told that my refund had already been made BUT IT HAD NOT !!!!!!

Trying to get my month's refund was a fiasco and I had to place many telephone calls in order to receive it as my e-mails went unanswered.

I have read other reviews and found that I am not the only customer who they flippantly 'cancelled' and then seemed to intentionally ignore. I even requested an official written statement of this cancellation and refund and none was ever given.

This company's ineptitude and lack of both professionalism and respect towards their subscribed customers has not only caused them to cancel my subscription and lose a customer but might cause future potentional customers to seek another business enterprise with whom to do business.

I work with the United Nations and many of my fellow colleagues seek the Sky Card. I have given warning of Skycards.eu on our INTRANET site which connects all branches of international organizations throughout the world. The supervisor's name with whom I dealt is 'Tom'. I hope the company reviews his handling of customers.

I have thought about writing this review for days. It is only AFTER I noticed my refund had been made (again, NO written statement received ALTHOUGH requested) that I now submit this. Quite honestly, I questioned this company's integrity. Unwillingly, I sadly had to write that I would forward all correspondence to my lawyer.

In the end, however, I have found a more reputable company and it is actually MUCH cheaper than what I was paying monthly with Skycards.eu

I hope through writing this testimonial that future potential customers will be cautioned as to how this company deals with their customers when problems arise with their card ( or at least how they dealt with me) . I was a customer for two years and paid my subscription every first of each month.

Some of the employees and at least one of their supervisors of this company forgot that without 'We Customers' THEY would be unemployed...I have the feeling that they really do not care, but possibly, THEIR bosses in higher management will.

I love this company

I love this company, the guys here are incredibly friendly and helpful. I wanted a way to watch certain channels in Spain when at our property there but didn't want to sign up to a yearly contract, Josh went through all my options, explained how to set up the VPN router and get my vouchers, the customer service is second to none - other companies could learn a thing or two from these guys.

I wholeheartedly recommend Skycards.eu - just wish I had known about them sooner! Good job guys!

Having tried IPTV on and off for a few…

Having tried IPTV on and off for a few years and been let down massively by some cowboy companies here in Spain I decided to go with Skycards.eu as I heard that the service was great from my neighbour. We tried Now TV as it would have been a cheaper and better option for us. For only 40 quid we had the box and router arrive the next day delivered by UPS. The difference between dodgy IPTV boxes and Now TV is amazing. Now TV has NO BUFFERING, all official Sky channels, full Freeview and we can also get Netflix and book Box Office like the Joshua fight. Now TV is the best quality streaming box and can't be compared to IPTV. Skycards have always helped when needed and when we initially had a few issues setting up Josh was polite and helped us along. Can't wait for the Cricket World Cup final this weekend!

Thanks for taking time to review our service. I'm sorry that you feel this way.

We have over 200 trade partners across the World who are all registered as re-sellers with us. Many of these partners have been dealing with us for over a decade without any issues and I'm sure they would not describe it as a scam. All trade partners have found our services profitable.

To address your issues, the satellite signal is available throughout France with the correct size dish. There should be no reason why the Sky Q / Sky HD services can't received, even in the very South West a 1.2m dish should be able to receive the channels providing it has been installed competently.

If any customer is unhappy with their product we will always refund providing the equipment is returned to us within a reasonable period of time. For example if the equipment had been used for 6 months for the end of the football season and didn't have any reported fault within this period then we wouldn't be able to refund.

We always endeavour to provide the best service. If you would like any further help please let us know. We may be able to recommend an experienced installer for you.

My saga with SkyCards.eu

My saga with SkyCards.eu began in August 2018 when I purchased a Sky+HD Satellite Digibox & Sky Card for 169.00 GBP. I quickly discovered the Sky box would not record programs on its hard drive and when it did, it would frequently record only part of the scheduled program. Online research revealed this was a common issue and one which in my case and many others, Sky had no interest in resolving and I stopped using the Sky HD satelite box. The Sky services were also not worth the money. In May 2019, I had issues with the VPN service used as part of the NowTV offering by Sky when without notice they increased their monthly charge by 20%. They also double charged me and would not offer a refund. I have since cancelled the service. My total experience with Sky customer service was that they were not interested if you remained a customer or not. I chose not.

Regarding Skycards.eu reply to my review. Yes I contacted Sky support on 23/08/2018 about the Sky HD box and was given nothing more than standard pre-scripted responses, none of which addressed the many issues I had with this satellite box. I summed it all up at the time by saying the Sky+HD box and the service it supplied was extremely unreliable and could NOT be relied upon to make recordings. This makes the Sky+HD box unfit for purpose and worthless to me. If Sky would like the box back for a refund, I still have it, only used for a couple of days, still good as new.

Follow up contact with Sky support over the past couple of days (Jul 11-12, 2019) has resulted in no further progress or resolution.
They continue to refuse to accept any evidence that the box is faulty or that the box has a long history of the same problems being reported online as far back as 2011. They have also ignored requests for a returns number that would enable me to return the box under it's 12 month warranty. They keep insisting they will only accept evidence/proof of faults submitted in a report from a local satelite installer, when I am in fact way more qualified than an installer. I have a BSc Eng. degree in electronics and have been a qualified design engineer with over 35 years experience in TV, Cable & Satelite systems, Internet & Telephony service provision, installer training, customer service support, product testing and network diagnostics. If Sky support won't accept the results of my product tests (which they won't) then no other customer will every get Sky to accept anything the customer reports. If I could give less than 1 star for Skycards.eu I would. My advice is avoid them like the plague.

Great Service and Products. Highly recommended!

I started with a small purchase of a monthly pass, just to make sure it worked. They now have my whole entertainment setup.

I really appreciate the timely responses to emails and all my questions and how quickly they get everything set up. Highly recommend these guys.

Bad, Unnacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude.

As it says above. Bad, unacceptable experience, rude.
We have been a customer for years and the card stopped working. This one man bands response, buy a new card. when we queried it he told us to get a new supplier. Very poor conduct.

We have looked into the issues you have had and I'm certain we will be able to find a resolution.

I would like to address some of the points you have raised. As a Sky retailer we sell the Sky product which is a subscription based service. If you don't pay for the service then Sky will stop this service. They can't offer this for free sorry.

If you would like to reactivate the service then this would usually be a case of clearing your debt with Sky and reactivating the service. However if a debt has remained on the account for a long time then the viewing card can no longer be reactivated and a new card will be needed. The outstanding balance will also need to be cleared. We obviously don't want you to go to another supplier however if this is what you would like to do then please bear in mind that the debt you owe Sky will still need to be paid or they will not be able to activate a new card with your payment details or your box.

We are company with over 20 members of staff who have been offering our services since 1999. Skycards.eu have over 50,000 customers Worldwide and the vast majority are happily enjoying their services. I'm sorry on this occasion you have found that the service isn't up to your expectations. I f you could contact us I'm certain we can find a resolution.
