From Pro to Problematic: Safety Risks and Diminishing Value
I have been a Pro user for over two years, and unfortunately, my experience has consistently fallen short due to multiple unresolved issues that span a wide spectrum of severity. The recurring problems include:
Software Instability and Frequent Update Issues:
Many updates have introduced more bugs than they’ve resolved, resulting in erratic behavior such as lighting profiles breaking unexpectedly and unpredictable device responses.
Lack of Compatibility with Popular Hardware:
Devices that are standard in the industry are still not supported, requiring manual configurations or complete workarounds, which negate the benefit of having a centralized software.
Network Congestion Due to Excessive Background Services:
The software continuously launches multiple services for network communication without a clear purpose or proper clean-up, resulting in a constant stream of alerts and permissions needed. This creates an administrative burden and degrades system performance.
Severe Visual Safety Concerns:
The last update triggered a critical safety issue. When I turned on my system, the lighting layout that I use daily flickered rapidly in a strobe-like fashion. This type of visual anomaly can be dangerous, especially since I work closely with individuals prone to epileptic seizures. This single incident has made it impossible to justify using this product any longer, as safety must come first.
Inadequate Product Evolution and Lack of Useful Features
Despite being a Pro subscriber, there has been a consistent lack of meaningful feature development over my entire subscription period.
Specifically:
Bloat Over Functionality:
There is a persistent trend of adding redundant features that are unnecessary for a lighting control system. For example, the system diagnostics and reader features are duplicative, as Windows OS and individual device drivers already provide these capabilities (e.g., Corsair iCue). Instead of refining the core functionalities, the software feels weighed down by non-essential tools that inflate its complexity without enhancing its utility.
Limited Customization and Poor Integration:
The few lighting patterns released over the years lack the depth or robustness needed to be used consistently across multiple devices. The lack of unified support means users with varied hardware setups experience inconsistencies in brightness, color accuracy, and timing, resulting in a fragmented experience.
Substandard “Pro” Templates and Game Integrations:
The game integrations, which are supposed to be a key differentiator for the Pro tier, are not only limited but often unreliable. When compared to direct integrations available through game developers or alternative tools, the experience through SignalRGB feels unfinished and underwhelming.
Dwindling Value Proposition and Disjointed Product Focus
Value Erosion:
The service has shifted focus towards what seems to be a narrow target audience of “gamers” rather than providing comprehensive support for the broader user base. This pivot has resulted in a significant erosion of value for users who require precision and stability over flashy gimmicks.
Lack of Professional Utility:
As a professional who depends on predictable and safe lighting control for both work and client-facing environments, the software’s shift to focus on game-related features and superficial integrations has made the “Pro” version more of a liability than an asset. There are no professional-level tools or industry-standard capabilities to warrant continued use.
Conclusion
Due to the aforementioned issues, the overall value I have received from SignalRGB Pro has diminished substantially, and the software has become more of a risk than a tool. The lack of development in crucial areas, along with the increased introduction of bloatware, has transformed what should be a streamlined hardware management tool into a fragmented, unstable product that no longer meets my needs.
Until there is a shift in direction that prioritizes stability, comprehensive device support, and user safety, I will not be considering a return to SignalRGB. Should the focus remain on "what gamers want" rather than what users need, my recommendation to colleagues and clients will be to look for alternatives.

SignalRGB is a game changer
SignalRGB is a game changer. I used with Prism S and Prism 8. The Lighting is amazing. Great work!!!!
Great Universal RGB tool
I use the Pro on 2 systems. I started with trying the free version on one system where I was using 3 pieces of software (Mystic Light, iCue, steel series, grovee). Kept having issues and decided to try this. Was able to use this one tool for all the RGB in the system. Decided to use for cooling and got Pro. Loving it since.
I simp for Heal-bot
I was initially skeptical about paying for RGB software, but SignalRGB has been worth it. Unlike OEM software, which can be a nightmare to get working with all your devices, SignalRGB makes it much simpler and gives you the freedom to customize a wide range of devices without the usual limitations. The team is also responsive to feedback and continually adds new features. After testing it out, I had no regrets subscribing, and they’ve even implemented features I requested. I’ll definitely continue using it.
Great app to control RGB Lighting of all your devices
I was looking for a replacement for Corsair's iCUE software. After some googling I found SignalRGB among others. After some initial configuration of some of the RGB elements in my case I had everything working perfectly in sync:
- Corsair case and fan LEDs
- Asus GPU and motherboard
- Creative sound bar
- Razer mouse and keyboard
The result was very satisfying and after a several months the experience has been very stable. There was one bug with the configuration of the Creative soundbar, which I reported on their Discord channel. The bug was then promptly fixed with the next release.
Eventually I moved to Pro (yes, the app has some features behind subscription based paywall), I set up fan control and sensor monitoring, all of which worked flawlessly.
So, while some people might not like that the app is subscription based, I understand that this might be necessary for the developers to provide a great software that works with many devices and brands.
To summarize:
- App keeps all of my LEDs from 4 different brands in sync
- 1 app instead of 4 to control everything
- App is _by far_ more stable than Corsair's iCUE app
- Features like fan control behind subscription based paywall (in my opinion it is worth it and you are obviously supporting the developers)
Must for RGB Products
I enjoyed all of the free effects offered by the company. I love the customization that you can do and how the software supports all of my devices. The community is kind and willing to help with any issues.
SignalRGB is actually a really good!
SignalRGB is actually a really good RGB program, and the team working on it are just as friendly and are very acknowledgeable. Hard working, and the new beta UI updates on their APP are really refreshing.

Locked to themes
Locked to themes! Your not able to make your own and of you have a screen on your aio, then forget to be able to use it!
I used it for like a day, but had to switch back to Icue and SignalRGB is kind of trash.
Let me make my own themes and light setups.
And then theres the SignalRGB Pro.. If you dont pay, the software is restigred and you not able to use fan control and other parts of the software.. Made me go back to icue aswell. SignalRGB is kind of a scam

Great customer support and good list of supported products. Also handy for fan control and hardware monitoring. Super RGB effects
Do not use it with AMD RGB videocards, that will not work (yet). Best lookup the supported hardware list.
Thank you for this wonderful piece of work

Been using the app for a while because it’s annoying to have 4 different software’s but never really had a problem with it, everything runs smoothly and works just fine, you dont need to pay anything you can use the free version with a lot of furtures in it 👍

My XPG memory module didn't turn on again after installing this malware.
Edit: I called them out in one of their YT videos and they just told me how to reconfig my RAM so I give them back every star. Great software, just don't use it with XPG RAM modules.
In case you have the same problem: uninstall every RGB related software and delete every remaining file they leave. Unplug your PC a couple minutes. And that's it.
