Used to be good, sucks a$$ now.

Ads everywhere, intrusive videos you can't pause or minimize, constant popups telling you to upgrade to pro, all this garbage takes up half the interface.

They've gotten rid of all the user friendly features of the app for some asinine reason. Free effects used to have their own tab. You could tell which effects you'd downloaded/installed just by hovering over the preview, and you could download effects with one click without leaving the menu. There used to be a wide selection of free, quality effects.

Now you have to scroll down to the bottom to get to the free effects, and you need to do it manually with the down arrow or mouse wheel because there is no goddamn scroll bar. You need to click on each effect now, which takes you to a different screen, to see if it's installed or if you want to install it. When you click back to the effects menu, it resets, so you must scroll down to the bottom again and click on the 'show more' button, which reveals the next 3 effects on that list. There is a 'show all' button, but it does the exact freaking thing as 'show more'. You need to keep spamming that button about 20 times until it reveals all the effects in that category. Now times that 20 by 10 or 15 or however many times you see an effect you want to check out.

When I finally saw an effect I liked, there was a 50/50 chance of it even downloading. I didn't even get an error message when it wouldn't download. Absolutely nothing telling me why I can't download an effect I had a year ago. Effects that worked perfectly before no longer download, even though my rig is the exact same as it was back when I first used SignalRGB. Most of the free effects I used before won't even download now and I have no idea why.

It's obvious the developers stopped giving a rat's a$$ about their users. They're only interested in milking every single cent from the userbase that they can.

I used to recommend SignalRBG to anyone looking for a fun and user friendly software for their lighting. I can no longer make that recommendation.

Switching back to OpenRBG. It's not as fancy compared to SignalRPG, but at least it has none of SignalRBG's bull$hit.

when i downloaded this software my windows defender and my anti-malware gave me a warning idk what is the problem and i dont think signal can be trusted with this

It installed a virus of some kind(I think because i got 2 warnings of viruses)

Also, ich verstehe die ganzen negativen Kommentare null. Nutze die App bestimmt so 2 Jahre. Die App ist kein Virus, mit Bitdefender getestet. Deinstallieren ist auch möglich. Vllt so mit einem Uninstaller. Und ein Abo Model finde ich hier passend, sind nur 5€. Dafür bekommt man wirklich viele kompatiblen Geräte, denkt dran, ihr braucht einen RGB Controller für eure Fans etc.Die Effekte finde ich auch mega, vorallem für mich die spielintegrierte Effekte, dass macht das Gaming Erlebnis um einiges besser

Worst Software ever. Claiming that a device works (Logi G915X) but it doesn't. It does not just "not work" it even corrupted the whole firmware on the keyboard. In addition they tried to implement a fan control tool in there software which is completely useless and only interfere with everything else.

SignalRGB verfolgt grundsätzlich ein sehr sinnvolles Konzept: Die Möglichkeit, RGB-Beleuchtung verschiedener Hersteller zentral über eine einzige Software zu steuern, ist für viele Nutzer äußerst praktisch – insbesondere in Setups mit Komponenten unterschiedlicher Marken.

Die Benutzeroberfläche ist modern gestaltet, die Effekte sind vielfältig, und die Kompatibilität mit gängigen Marken ist solide umgesetzt. In der Basisversion lässt sich bereits einiges steuern, was für viele Nutzer ausreichend sein mag.

Was jedoch stark negativ auffällt, ist das gewählte Geschäftsmodell: Viele der interessanten Funktionen – darunter erweiterte Effekte, Integrationen oder Echtzeit-Reaktionen auf Audio und Spiele – sind ausschließlich im kostenpflichtigen Abonnement verfügbar. Für eine Software, die primär als Steuerzentrale für bereits gekaufte Hardware dient, wirkt das Abo-Modell wenig kundenfreundlich.

Statt eines monatlichen Abos wäre ein einmaliger Kaufpreis oder zumindest ein fair gestaffeltes Lizenzmodell deutlich angemessener. RGB-Steuerung ist ein Komfort-Feature, kein Cloud-Dienst mit laufenden Betriebskosten. Die Entscheidung, essenzielle Funktionen hinter eine Paywall zu stellen, hinterlässt den Eindruck, dass hier eher auf Monetarisierung als auf Nutzerfreundlichkeit gesetzt wird.

**Fazit:**

SignalRGB ist technisch solide und funktional überzeugend – aber das Abonnement-Modell schmälert den Gesamteindruck erheblich. Wer bereit ist, monatlich zu zahlen, erhält eine gute Lösung. Wer jedoch auf der Suche nach einer fairen, einmalig bezahlbaren Software ist, wird hier enttäuscht.

Die Dateien enthalten schädlich Dateien und die App hindert mich daran meinen PC auszuschalten. Kann man ja einfach beenden, oder? Falsch. Es wurde so gemacht das es nicht möglich ist die App zu beenden

Nice idea for an app, poorly chosen direction for earning money. The last update was a disaster! I finally decided to uninstall it and started exploring OpenRGB instead...I'm waiting for a serious open source alternative....

SignalRGB completely overwrites all RGB effects going on in your PC and the tutorials are a pain. I got it to work after choosing to do only 1 color (soft blue), but you really gotta learn it before you use it. After a day or two of playing around in the app I got it tho. I do wish it was more lightweight.

This is a great program for a PC with mid-high tier specs. I've been using it for years and reading these bad reviews on here, I couldnt help but feel bad for the devs of this app because these users are absolutely first week PC users or just on way to many drugs. In actual reality the app is fun, free for most things(everything you really need for lighting) and you also have a good set of controls so you can turn down settings for lower tier PCs if needed. I dont see a reason it doesn't deserve 5*, Bravo devs..

Fantastic program Best UI out there. Hundreds of effects. The signalrgb discord is highly responsive and loaded with tutorials and DIY solutions to expand outside the PC. Govee, Twinkley, Wled, cololight. nanoleaf, Hue, QMK all supported.

To be honest, I got a bad feeling about this app when I downloaded it, and it started opening PowerShell when I denied it from accessing my PC, which by the way, said it was from an unknown publisher. Just to sketchy for me. 1 star. (edit) I use Windows (edit 2) That might have been from an update of my current RTX software, but still, sketchy. 2 stars

bad ui, and just bad quality. i open the app, everything works, i then try to use some of the colors to my keyboard, but the ui is so confusing. i try to change but its just blue. 0/10

I can't see the keys on my keybvoard any more.
The program has shuit off all lighting on my Razor keyboard. It appears in the program but you cant change shit. Well you CAN but nothing happens.
The program basically highjakcs your lighting in anything connected to you pc.

Second thing is EVERYTHING opens a browser and wants you to log in an pay fpor shit or watch adds

If you report anything not working properly NOTHING happens. The report doesn't even submit after you send it. Actual useless functionality

Doesn't work with the most basic hardware; cumbersome, terrible UI; every upgrade seems a downgrade.

Another thing that upset me was when you click inside their app to check the pricing it directs you to login page. I've never seen a service that does that until now. A lot of red flags on this product.
