I commissioned Siege Studios to paint a couple of Warhammer 40K units (10 models) after seeing their work online via YouTube/Instagram.
Having never used them before I figured try a small commission to test them out and I can honestly say I was amazed at the professionalism of their service, regular communications and updates.
And the painting level was amazing (even at their bronze standard. The beauty of their commissions is they paint (and/or sculpt/convert) exactly what you request and the final product was true what I had in mind.
I will be using them more and more!

My experience with Siege studio was great! Very fast communication and commission setup with thier team and the model paint job looks fantastic! Shipping and recieving with Siege was very fast as well. My paint job number was 1700

Easy to navigate website!

I am a novice painter and James took the time to explain the basics from brush control to getting to know your paints and color theory in an easy to understand way. It left me with great advice that is easy to apply.
It makes me look differently at painting a mini, so I can make it the best for my current skill level, and sets me up for even better results in the (near) future.

Course itself was ok, the venue space was noisy and too busy, hard to listen to the instructions with people playing games around you. The class also felt over-subscribed, with not enough individual trouble-shooting and feedback.

Painting class in Stockport was cancelled with a days notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Arrangements were made to put things right for me and Siege were very fair, honest, efficient and true to their word. Looking forward to the rearranged painting class very much.

Great customer service, helpful guidance for new customers, and of course a fantastic finished product

I had my 1st tuition class from James. It was great. We immediately started from the basics because this is what I had asked for. I have learned I need to relearn proper techniques and he gave me exercises to practice. I have booked another 6 lessons and look forward to my growth as a hobby painter.

Absolutely shocking behavior towards the community, they should be ashamed of themselves.

First heard about this course years ago in a Luetin video, way before I was into the actual model / tabletop part of the hobby. Got into the hobby earlier this year, decided a course would be a good idea. So glad I chose this course.

1. Customer service has been superb throughout. Had to move dates so I could do the course with a friend and they handled it with no fuss.
2. The quality of the teaching was superb. It's a privilege to have access to world class teachers at this price point to teach such excellent fundamental theory and technical skills.
3. It was just a super enjoyable day. Everyone was made to feel welcome, and while the learning was intense and challenging, it was fun and very rewarding.

I came into this course with high expectations, and they were blown away.

Very much looking forward to booking my next course.

I learned SO many fundamental skills that will enable me to troubleshoot my own problems, and grow as a painter. The course has given me a sense of direction and confidence.
I think the underlying reason is that the course follows a philosophy of "teach a man to fish" - we're learning how to learn, based on a set of principles, not just following steps

Working with Siege Studios is always a great experience. The team are knowledgeable and passionate about the hobby and it is very clear that they want to fulfil your own vision for what the models should look like.

In my case I had an existing paint scheme that needed to be matched to an indistinguishable level and throughout the process I never doubted that the team could achieve this. During the process every detail felt covered and when I started to see pictures I was extremely pleased as, side by side with originals, I couldn’t tell the models apart.

I am already planning my next expansion to this army confident that the result will be exceptional and I can’t recommend Siege highly enough!

The tutor was very knowledgeable and good at sharing information and helping students. There was 10 people on the course which made it feel alot easier to take in the information and the tutor had enough time to discuss issues with individual students.

I had a 2 hour, 1-to-1 painting lesson with George on 16/09/2025 and I could not be happier with the session.

I have been a huge fan of Siege Studios for years, and having the opportunity to talk to the people behind the camera, and have a tailored lesson was a dream come true.

My wife and I attended the Essentials Master Course at Element Games (20–21 Sep 2025) and had a fantastic time.

Si was an excellent tutor, clear, patient, and supportive throughout. We learned a huge amount: from blending and painting flesh to practical tricks we can start using straight away. The mix of demonstrations, hands-on practice, and one-to-one guidance made it a really valuable weekend. While we didn’t walk away having mastered every technique, the knowledge we gained will get us there with practice and maybe a little blessing from the Chaos Gods!

As relative newcomers to painting Warhammer, we found every section useful. Seeing techniques done live (instead of edited videos or polished photos) really helped us, especially for things like paint consistency on a wet palette, angle of attack etc. Being able to ask “am I doing this right?” and get instant feedback was worth the money alone. Sometimes it’s the small bits of advice that make the biggest difference, the things you just don’t know until someone shows or tells you.

The course had a great atmosphere and was well structured. It was hosted in the gaming area at Element Games, some people might find that distracting, but for us it wasn’t an issue at all, we had no trouble following Si, and actually found having the wider Element Games facilities (bar, shop etc) available a benefit, especially if you forget something...

Highly recommended for anyone wanting to level up their painting!

The model is painted well, the artist did a wonderful job technically. For the wait time and price I was expecting to be wowed. In my spec sheet, I said I was looking for a centerpiece model and told them to have fun with it. Getting box art, is not creative at all. This will be my only model painted by the studio.

I asked Siege to bring to life a pretty ambitious project which was to sculpt and paint a sketch-up I did of a famous Thousand Sons character Ignis & his robot-pal Credence.

I've worked with Siege in the past - and I was massively impressed with the quality of their work. They smashed it once again! The raw miniature painting and sculpting quality they produce is just so extremely high - rightly earning their place as the top dog in the industry.

They maintained a high standard throughout the process - from the incredibly useful initial conversations with James about posing, and the design, to the weekly updates when the commission was underway. The office team were great and super patient with me throughout the iterative design process supporting me the whole way.

I'd work with them again in a heartbeat :)

Fantastic course, James was incredibly approachable and taught us a lot from specific painting techniques, to generic tips and tricks.

I'd recommend this to anyone starting to work on their painting skills. The general advice about what tools and suggested palettes to use will help anyone quickly level up their skills.

Only two drawbacks were
- It was very 40K focused and while the techniques are applicable to fantasy / historical minis the applications may be less clear.
- I now have a big shopping list of things that I want to pick up to make my painting experience easier. By far the most surprising is a hair drier!
