I commissioned Seige for a painting project job number 1253.

I worked directly with James and his team to get my exact design details and specifications, I got regular updates at each stage and I am thrilled with the end result!

I attended the EMC1, the instructor was fabulous. Really interactive with us all. The class size meant you had plenty of time for one to one or feedback. Really helped clean up some of my techniques. Well worth the trip, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and course content. Definitely going to look at the other courses and if you want to improve I would definitely recommend attending.

Job number 2035 .From start to finish they were brilliant ! To setting up the commison , to asking questions during the process to get my commison to exactly the scheme I was after !.The team was constantly in contact and sent some great work in progress photos. Just under 3 months for my commison to be accepted and completed which although being a small project I thought was brilliant. The finish of the model was everything I was after and the post and packaging of the model was also top quality!. I will 100% be going to them for more commisons .

I had the pleasure of attending a two-day painting course with Siege Studios at Element Games in Stockport on Saturday and Sunday, and I came away with loads of new techniques and ideas to put into practice.

Across the weekend, we covered everything from using an airbrush and painting panels, to wet blending swords, weathering vehicles and painting Space Marine faces. There was a great mix of techniques, practical work and plenty of opportunity to learn from some seriously talented painters.

A massive thank you to the Siege Studios team for a fantastic course, and to Element Games for hosting it. I’ve definitely come away feeling more confident and inspired to push my painting further!

My experience with Siege Studios was excellent. I had been wanting a custom Chapter Master for my custom successor Chapter for some time and they made the process really easy. Its a premium service, so it isn't cheap, but I felt I got what I paid for. I had multiple calls with James who went through my initial scope, engaged with my homebrew lore, never making me feel silly. He helped really guide putting what I wanted into the right words for the artists and supplying suitable reference images.

Once I paid my deposit, the lead times were transparent and largely accurate. I got updates when sculpting started and was completed. The sculpting is incredible, such a rare skill. I got the same when painting started and was completed.

Shipping was easy and my model arrived in perfect condition. They really brought what I had in my head to life. I have an incredible, bespoke piece of art that I also get to play Warhammer with.

I have mixed feelings about Siege Studios' painting services. I'll start with the bad aspects and finish with the good ones :

The bad aspects :
- The project took very long to start, so long that some models in my army are now obsolete (the project started around november 2023 and I received my 2000pts army in july 2026 !)
- the "won't give the customer the receipe" policy that is nowhere to be found on their website (and they didn't tell me about it before I subscribed to their patreon only to find out no Ultramarines tutorial leads to to the same colour scheme) leaves a very bad feeling, as I'm now forced to either go with another commission with them or stop growing my army because I won't have the same blue on my models. It feels like Siege Studios does this intentionaly to "force" customers to come back to them, "like a chef who wouldn't give away the receipe to his signature dish" as they said to me in an email - I disagree with that way of thinking; I don't go to the restaurant because of a secret sauce that only the chef knows, I go there because the chef knows how to cook well and does it for me with his time. The few chefs/pro painters I met were happy to share their secrets with me, fully knowing that I wouldn't be able to recreate the receipe perfectly anyway - the expert's experience and time alone make it worth paying his services.

Now, the good aspects:
- Even though all answers I got from Siege Studios are not satisfying, it is worth noting that they always answer to emails, and they do so pretty quickly.

- While it is true that some models in my army are obsolete like Calgar and his guards (too late to replace them, they were already painted when the new models were released), Siege Studios did replace my old Drop Pod kits with new ones at my demand, which feels nice.

- The models are sent well protected and they offer help with repairs should you need so

- The quality of the painting service is astonishing in my opinion. Even at bronze level, it feels like you're holding miniatures straight from the Warhammer website. The painting level is consistent on all models, and their building skills are so high I can't put it into words (I mean look at the good old Land Raider plastic kit, it's a nightmare to build without gaps and they did a near-perfect job). I am 100% happy about every bit of money spent on the service itself.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommand Siege Studios' painting services as their skills with models are very good, but ask them more questions than I did before you give away your money if you don't want the 50/50 experience that I got. And if you're not in the UK, beware of custom taxes !

I can thoroughly recommend dealing with siege studios if you have an idea you want brought to life.

I commissioned three pieces from them to make as absolute icons for my collection and they delivered.
From the very start they were professional and considerate of my needs and wants. They made sure I was informed at every step of the process and worked with me on drawings, drafting plans and ideas and looking at the creative process they could bring to bear on my project.
I loved the outcome their work is spectacular and there is a reason they are the best in the business.

After a bit of time due to so many projects, and Siege Studios not wanting to break people's dreams, Siege Studios created 2 great Leviathan Dreadnoughts, to the exact specifications I requested and they look amazing.

I learnt more in the first two hours alone than I have in years of painting! It was a lot of fun, learning form the best and with some great people

Honestly one of the best experiences I have been involved with. The whole team at Siege is a pure joy to work with. I have received part 5 of a large Votann commission and I can honestly say only good things. From the first email, communication, clarity and parameters were all discussed and set out clearly from the beginning. Once the commission was accepted, regular updates to when the project was due to start were frequent enough to keep me up to date. Once the project had stared, there was plenty of WIP pictures from the team. The communication was amazing and any queries, questions from either side were dealt with professionally. Right up to final emails and delivery, the models are expertly and carefully packaged. Everyone I have dealt with has been brilliant, but Rhiannon deserves a special mention. She is a real asset to James and the business, and has been a pleasure to work with. While the costs may seem high at first for the hobby, I honestly would not change anything about the process, the service and painting matches the value. Highly recomend.

I went to 2 Siege painting sessions (Essentials Masters course 1&2) over the course of a few months, they were super helpful, it was great to see techniques in person and the Q&A was also really useful. But the best but for me was how nice it was to talk to other hobbyists, some of whom I am still in contact with and regularly paint and game with. One of the best painting experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend them.

The quality and the variety of choices is perfect.

I recently went on the 2 day Essentials Master Course 1 at Bad Moon Gaming in London. The venue was really good, air con was a huge win in the heat wave and was easy to get to via the underground.

The class was hosted by James who was an excellent teacher throughout, very approachable and spent time with everyone ensuring to push and improve people at their own pace. I’ve been painting for years and this is my first course and I found every minute useful and took loads of new skills away.

I will definitely be booking another class and would highly recommend it to everyone, no matter your experience.

We had a great time at the painting class at Bad Moon Cafe. A good location, plenty of paints available in case you forget or don’t have the colour you need/want.
The quality of instruction was fantastic, James gets his methods and tips across really well. The feedback and further instruction was equally well delivered.
The course was delivered in a relaxed and easy manner.
James has a depth of knowledge and experience that is hard to beat.
I came away with a basic understanding of how to use an airbrush and plenty of solid techniques for a variety of painting methods.
I would definitely recommend this class for beginners and experienced paints alike.

I attended a recent painting course with Siege at Bad Moon Café and found it great. Very easy to organize from the beginning. I DM'd the company on Instagram as I couldn't bring my airbrush and got an immediate reply from the owner thanking me for booking and reassuring me that it was no problem. I was provided with a very clear equipment list and programme in my booking email.

The course itself was well run and had a clear progressive syllabus for the two days. I wasn't the only one without an airbrush and James made it work for all of us. The pace was probably a little more intense than I'd like, but it is a lot to cram into two days. The course follows the format of watching the teacher do something as they explain each step, then giving it a go yourself as they go around and tweak your technique.

I won't go into the details of the course but overall they covered all of the points on the syllabus and gave plenty of time for questions, queries, etc. James was exceptionally positive and encouraging with everyone and I certainly came away from it with some new skills.

The venue itself is nice, though some of the tables next to us were a bit loud. This is nothing to do with Siege but bear it in mind if going to Bad Moon Café in the middle of summer.

I have no interest in ordering commission models as I paint for my own relaxation, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Siege for tuition. I'll definitely go to the second level course, probably next year after I've given time to implement what I've learnt at this course.

Despite having a long wait time before my commissioned model could be worked on, Siege Studios kept me informed of all developments, were very helpful in establishing what could be done for me, delivered an incredibly painted miniature, and offered other support in terms of fulfilling the commission. I am very satisfied with the premium service that Siege Studios advertises.

Amazing course delivered by James. Tuition was paced perfectly with clear guidance, regular feedback and lots of time to practice.
Highly recommend to anyone seeking to develop skills and build confidence.
