Its a subtle scam , even if you match with someone and have premium subscription, unless the other person have it as well, they can't see your message, how stupid is that.

I, Ishan Chopra, am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Shaadi.com.

I was sold what was described as a VIP service by your staff member, Vishal. However, after making the payment, I discovered that it was only a message subscription and not the VIP service that was promised. I feel I was misled into purchasing the plan.

Another staff member, Shikhar, also provided false information and very poor customer service. Instead of helping resolve my concerns, I was given misleading responses and an unsatisfactory experience.

Moreover, I was connected with fake or inactive profiles, which wasted my time and caused unnecessary frustration. Because of this experience, both my parents and I are deeply upset. We have lost valuable time, money, and trust in your services.

I request that Shaadi.com investigate this matter thoroughly, review the conduct of the staff members involved, and provide an appropriate resolution. I also request a full refund for the service that was misrepresented to me.

I look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution.

They donot verify ...the caste and simply send us the name.... When we try to approach either they are not from our caste or account close ... They looted us by trapping us in their sweet sweet talks... Some time a male id is given to female or vice versa ..not atall the trust platform..it has happened multiple time

Shadi.com is nothing but a money-grabbing trap. Let me tell you exactly what these people are doing behind the scenes.
I had two-way matches profiles where everything aligned perfectly — and every single request I sent got rejected without even a glance. No conversation, nothing. I started noticing a pattern and decided to test it properly.
We set up two accounts and tested it deliberately. One account with VIP, one without. Sent requests between them. The non-VIP request? Disconnected. Just like that. That's not a coincidence — that's a calculated business decision to squeeze money out of people looking for a life partner.
They will hide your profile. They will cancel your requests. They will make you invisible to other users — all so you feel desperate enough to pay for their overpriced VIP package.
And when I declined their pushy VIP sales calls? Suddenly everything stopped working. Draw your own conclusions.
This isn't a matchmaking platform. It's a racket dressed up as one. They are playing games with people's personal lives and emotions just to make money.
Stay far away. Use literally any other platform.

I took diamond plus package for six months. Next day a lady called from shaadi.com and spoke to my wife around two hours explaining the benifit if we take VIP package. She spoke very very politely and told she will be in contact with us every day and provide you best profiles of girls as per our requirements. At last we trusted her and decided to pay Rs. 17,000 in addition to Rs. 3,890 already paid for Diamond plus package. So total became Rs.20,890/-.
She waited on phone till we remit the money and once she saw the pymnt receipt she kept the phone down. We never thought it was a cheating. After that day we could not able to contact her and she never came on line.
Then a RM was appointed to us but very very poor response. In a day he will give one profile and he will vanish. Every day he will say he is off today. We changed the RM he also same attitude. Now almost 15 days over but still we are serching in dark. We advise to all people who contacts Shaadi.com do not go for VIP package. They will cheat you.

​Fake/Inactive Profiles: They send profiles to chat, but you will never get a response. The relationship managers hide behind the excuse that "people aren't answering calls," which is highly suspicious for a premium tier.
​Completely Ignoring Preferences: Despite clearly outlining my preferences, they bombard me with random, irrelevant profiles—often way above the requested age limit—which are guaranteed to be rejected. It feels like they just want to fulfill a "monthly quota" of sent profiles without doing any actual matchmaking.
​This is a textbook cash-grab operation. They treat a major life decision like a automated scam. I highly regret spending my money here and strongly advise everyone to stay away from their premium/VIP traps.

Bought VIP, relationship manager doesn’t work. Raised multiple complaints, still facing the same issue. Please do not give your money to them.

My experience with this app was disappointing. I created a profile for my brother and initially received some reasonable matches. Another major concern was the authenticity of some profiles. During our search, we came across individuals whose information seemed inaccurate or misleading. This made it difficult to trust the profiles being presented and raised concerns about how effectively user information is verified.

For a matrimonial platform, trust, transparency, and profile authenticity are essential. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling that users need to do extensive due diligence on their own, as it was not always clear whether the information provided by some members was reliable.

The constant emphasis on premium features, combined with concerns about profile quality and authenticity, made the overall experience frustrating. I hope the platform improves both its verification processes and its matching system so users can feel more confident when using the service.

I subscribed as Premium membership for my daughter at Shaadi.com providing all documents required for address proof,ID proof,qualifications etc.Suddenly one day my daughters profile was deactivated without providing proper reason,when i sent email,i am now being asked to provide ID proof again

I beleive it has been done purposely by one of the representative as i didn’t subscribed to their VIP membership which they try to sell very aggressively

Its nothing but a money making business. They scam you just for membership money and management su*** too. Specially the VIP service is the biggest scam, most fraud people are there and services are worst. Please don't waste your money here, people use it as tinder and all agents always have family issues or are on leaves. No refund once you paid money coz of impressive sales pitch coz thats what they are all trained for. If you are serious about getting married , its better to look in neighborhood than being a part of this cult.

My experience with Jeevansathi has been disappointing. The platform appears to prioritize expensive membership plans while offering limited value to users on standard plans. Despite receiving profile interests and acceptances, many conversations never progressed, which made me question how active and genuine some profiles are.

The matching system often felt engagement-driven rather than genuinely focused on helping people find compatible life partners. For a service that markets itself as a serious matrimonial platform, I expected better profile verification, more responsive members, and greater transparency regarding premium benefits.

I invested both time and money but did not see results that justified the cost. I hope the platform focuses more on authentic matchmaking and less on upselling premium packages. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend it.

They changed my plan from Gold to Platinum over a phone call. Before agreeing, I asked them multiple times to confirm that I would receive a refund if I was not satisfied with the service, and they assured me that I would.

Now, when I am requesting a refund, they are saying that the refund cannot be processed due to their policies and are denying the refund. They are also asking me to provide proof of what was promised during the call.

I find this behavior very disappointing. I have been frustrated for the last 7 days while they continue to delay the refund process.

If only there was a way to give zero or even negative stars: This business should be investigated for unfair trade practices.

They have paid and free membership accounts: If you have a free account, then understandably you cannot see photos made available to premium members, and cannot lookup contact details: so far so good: no one has problems with this.

However a person with a premium membership, can send a more personalized message to a non paying member, but essentially its no good since its a one way street: the non paying member cannot respond back to that message. The non paying members is therefore being forced to payup in order to communicate, and this could could be considered shrewd business policy, but its a form of cheating against the member who has already paid, who was promised in the advertisements that they can look up and communicate with a certain number of people per month

They were also allowing "free" members to be able to see the full photo album when a person expresses interest, but now all except 1 photo is blocked

Increasingly we are noticing more and more control and encroachment on freedom and privacy, by any and every one of these organization that appoints itself as the moral police, for "our protection" as they claim.

The company collects money from the parents managing the profile of their kids and then blocks the profile access if the selfie verification is not done by the kids.
That being the case, they should stop parents from managing their kids profile and this should be communicated before accepting the payment

We signed up for our son from Maryland, USA last year... I am Subijoy Dutta, from Crofton, Maryland, USA.

My son is in NY City (same time zone).
Often times my son travels to Colorado or LA, I travel to India or Europe.
So, we occasionally sign in from different places, but last March my son tried to sign in from LA with proper credentials, but he got some strange face ID request by mobile type AI verification, which they introduced.
Result: None of us can log in from home or anywhere for the past three months or so. We bought premium membership to begin with. We have written emails to them from our proper Account, Escalated that recently, but they write in a nice and creamy language and provide 3 or 4 options to activate the account.
I am visiting India now and tried last night after receiving the escalated options, but same old Face iD with Mobile shows up, which does not work AND no other options, such as valid US Driver License etc, are provided. It is a so called money grabbing and No Service Business. No chat or email verifications etc. or a phone message or call verification etc. with human interactions are used. They are running with cheap/free AI solutions taking our US Dollar payments.
Really disgusted with their service at this time. Hope it changes and becomes a service rather than a pain.

i son't like personlally because the staff forcing to take personal consultant and when i got gold plan they stop to show me new people this is not the way to provide service

I had a very disappointing experience with VIP Shaadi service and feel it’s important to share this so others can make an informed decision.

Before I made the payment, the marketing representative, Prasad Panchal, made several promises about the quality of service and matches I would receive. However, once the fees were paid, he completely stopped responding to my calls and messages.

The first consultant assigned to me was very rude and unprofessional. After I raised a complaint via email, they changed the consultant and assigned Sanjay Patil. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve much. For most of my membership period, there was very little engagement, and I received only 3–4 proposals.

What was especially frustrating is that the consultant suddenly became polite and attentive only during the last 15 days before my membership expired, which felt insincere and too late to be helpful.

Overall, this service felt like a waste of money and did not deliver on its promises. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before opting for VIP Shaadi services.

In my 3 months on the platform, I received profiles where employer details were either blank or outright fictitious, the same person was forwarded to me twice under two different Profile IDs as separate "curated matches," and 63% of active profiles had no verifiable career presence anywhere on the internet. When I raised this, I was met with weeks of repetitive support calls and a firm no-refund policy.

This is not a coincidence — it is a pattern. And it has the attention of the courts. The Supreme Court of India in February 2026 remanded Anupam Mittal vs. State of Telangana & Anr. to the Telangana High Court — a case where police specifically charged the platform for failure to verify user credentials, alleging it "cheated people who trusted them by taking money without knowing whether the details were correct." That case is actively pending.

A platform that hides fake profiles instead of banning them, cannot trace unauthorised logins, and has no accountability mechanism is not a safe space for your personal data — VIP membership or otherwise.
