The “book” is a PDF.
I’m a lawyer in Australia and I challenge them to demonstrate/prove how they advise on an ongoing subscription that people are charged as part of the one off purchase.
I’ve spoken to my bank and they are also digging further as it appears to be a total scam.
I’ll repost for everyone here once I get more information from my bank.
Our consumer protection laws will not extend to US jurisdiction but I recommend each of you contact local attorneys and any government agencies that have consumer protection oversight.

The ad showed a nice book and being elderly. I thought I was going to receive a book but I didn’t even receive a download. I received nothing they keep taking money out of my account three different months now they have taken $29 out of my account plus the initial first pay I cannot afford this. I need for it to get stopped. Please help me please somebody help me what I should do to get this stopped. These people are scamming me.

I thought i was purchasing an actual book. nowhere did it mention it was just digital content download. I asked for a refund as I was expecting an actual book but they declined to refund me saying their digital content is non refundable. they also have satisfaction guarantee but obviously dont honor that either!

Scammers!!! Website advertised a Bible study "book". Not only is there NO book, they additionally charge $29 for an online access you didn't order. AND it's all non refundable because they don't answer emails until after the cancellation time. Scam scam scam. And for Bible study - shameful.
Update -- they wrote a lovely response and gave me a whooping $14.95 refund out of $47.95. And I still didn't get online access or written material.

Did not sign up for a monthly subscription. I was charged and charged again. I received an email saying all subscriptions were cancelled and the same day they charged me all over again, I calling bank now. DO NOT fall the this company. Its not even a book your receive its PDF sent to email and you have to print….over 100 pages. Then they sneak in the $29 monthly subscription that I was not aware of. They will not reimburse $. Total scam!!!!

Do not touch these people wirh a barge pole. They couldn't care less about Christian faith. They are in it for the money. I purchased a publication at £21.90 only for them to take a further £15 a few days later. Their Patheic excuse was that I signed up to subscription. Absolute Shite !!!! I wanted to learn about god again but these people have just shown that they use our curiosity and those with faith to steal our money. I haven't received a refund and I haven't received the so called publication. Trust me you think you are purchasing something interesting, something good to read but really what you are doing is handing over your credit card details for them to use. I have had to cancel my credit card and I can't get the money back that they had no authority to take... So be Warned !!!

Misrepresentation
I ordered two downloads and then they offered the first month of the Faith Club for free. But then they charged me for the first free month the same day I ordered the downloads. I sent an email right away stating the first month was free so please cancel my subscription free trial that I should not have been charged for in the first place and they said they would have to keep half of it …. Then the next day they charged me another29 dollars. It sounds like many consumers had the same problem. It is a shame they call themselves a Christian business when they deceive the consumers. Please do not order from them. It did teach me to check out a business before ordering anything.

I ordered thinking it was a book, but yet it was a PDF file. This is a scam! Lead you to believe it’s a book in their ads and then when you purchase it’s a PDF file. I have emailed the email to try and get a refund and no response. I would hope that they would honor their satisfaction policy and give the refund.

I am just another complain, advertised on line as a BOOK and then send pdf download instead!This is called FALSE Advertising. After that, they charged my account $29.00 unauthorized for Monthly Membership. The same day I contacted them, while $29.00 charge still pending, asking for refund for membership I never signed for, and they only refunded half. They did not provide any service for unauthorized membership so I am not sure why refund for half only. This is not a way how to do business, please stop SCAMING people, especially I am sure you get older customers who are not familiar with downloads. Honor refund requests at least own it and do not sell what you did not advertise.

I saw what looked like a useful book being advertised on Facebook, and paid £15 for it on the website, only to find it was a PDF. Well okay, but then I found out that the next day they were going to take around $28 for a monthly subscription. I never authorized that.

I ordered the study in Faith study guide for 18.95. I was charged 18.95 but a few days later I was also charged $29 for a subscription which I did not order. I have been in contact with them several times trying to get a refund for the $29 and also the 18.95 since I have not received the study guide. Extremely bad customer service. I still have not received all of the refunds. So I cannot recommend this company.

Buyer Beware - This is an expensive download
I have the same complaint as others, namely the book is a download and not the printed copy which is shown throughout their ads. Why show a book, if not to mislead buyers? This is what used to be called sharp practice in the business world, not illegal, but ethically and morally wrong, made worse by the fact that these are purporting to be a Christian and 'good' company. I have e-mailed them, but no response. If they are that grasping and sly, they can keep the money, but I won't be dealing with them again, or any other company like them.
