We had an absolutely amazing time with our GM Jack. Our party had a split of some very experienced players and some complete beginners, and Jack did a great job of ensuring everyone was up to speed while also keeping the other players engaged. Some of the players that had more experience even said that the summaries were the best they had ever heard, and they understood concepts they had previously struggled with. Jack helped all of us decide our own characters but also brought an expert awareness of how that backstory could be suited with a particular class or spell or approach to the world that helped the new players feel that they had an expert insight into D&D that normally takes years to gather. Jack was an expert at improvisation and completely went along with us derailing our campaign trajectory by finding random and hilarious ways to interact with the intricate world he set up, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves into our characters without fear of being 'on rails'. Jack's voice acting was phenomenal, with every NPC having such rich depth that you could sense the full backstory behind the lives of minor interactions. Jack's enthusiasm completely rubbed off on us, as he cheered our surprise wins and Nat 1 hilarious failures, and fully embraced our developing inside jokes throughout the session. Overall, all of us had a huge amount of fun and we were all extremely keen to organise the next session immediately to get straight back to it - wholeheartedly recommend, and thanks so much Jack!

Richard is a fantastic DM with great empathy for his players and excellent improvisational skills!

A fantastic experience from start to finish, listened to everything and cared more about the fun of the gsne than being a rules lawyer. Highly recommended will definitely be joining another game

I joined a campaign with GM Richard and we had a great time! It's always fun to learn a new way to play and I've only ever been a DM before myself so it was great to be able to have other games with other people and not be the DM for once!

Jack was the jamboree. I play probably 20 hours of dnd a week because I’m super cool and this was such a delightful session. Certainly felt the professional vibe, which was complimented by an easy going turbo nerd. It was lovely. You can tell they’re extremely experienced with improvisation while keeping us on course. My group is difficult to manage and Jack handled us and our mentals flawlessly.

We’re already booking two more sessions.

Online session with DM Jack, voice acting was excellent, the intro for each character was brilliant and helped bring everyone into the experience.

We are an experienced group and would recommend for any groups looking for something a bit more professional.

Overall I found the whole process to be friendly, positive and fun.. which is what dnd is about.

I think it's fair to say when the first half hour of a game of D&D includes epic intro scenes, perfectly voiced crazed space clowns and a a wholesome hug it out moment with a mob boss hippo who wants to blow your head off with a shotgun, your gonna have a good time.

The conversation to decide whether we wanted another session was just a column of people typing the word Yes! in chat. In summary, strong recommend.

We booked a games master (Richard) to take us through a D&D adventure for my Wife’s birthday. We were all first time players so were a bit apprehensive to play our first ever D&D game. Richard was a suburb games master. He (although clearly an expert, and capable of very advance games) was able to adapt his story to cater for us complete beginners. We had a wonderful time and it was a real pleasure to have Richard with us for the evening. I could not recommend it more and we will be sure to use Rolldark again

Such a great DM, I’d definitely recommend to others, he did great characterisations for the NPCs and managed a great mix of combat, social skills and skill challenges - we couldn’t have asked for more

We had the most wonderful sessions of Star Trek adventures with Alex. The storyline, setting, side characters and performance were brilliant and kept us immersed in our characters. He was tolerant of our side roads and general in-character shenanigans, which added to the fun! Definitely would recommend, especially to groups not used to the mechanics of tabletop adventures

Huge thanks to Rob from Rolldar for the best game of D&D I have ever played! The support offered before and during the game was incredible and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth, entertaining, and memorable experience. The whole game was tailored to our needs and preferences and truly was everything we had asked for and more!

We hired Rob for a significant birthday and our are already hoping to repeat the experience for a less significant birthday next year!

This was one of the best dnd games i have eve played rob was an amazing dm and so helpful leading up to the game would highly recommend this to anyone

What can I say? Even from before we started, our DM was faultless. Having sent across my character sheet by email I was met with a friendly email.

On the day, he was incredibly friendly and was so comfortable in the group that it felt like we'd been playing together for ages! From the very start he made it clear that we were here to have fun and fun was had. I was in stitches. The quality of his story telling was amazing and the voice acting to boot. There were tears of both joy and heartbreak. Never in my life did I think I'd be so entertained by one man pretending to be 2 sailors. On top of this, there were even nods to the backstory I'd given my character on my character sheet. A totally unnecessary addition to the story but it showed the time and effort that went into the preparation and delivery of the game.

He had an excellent talent for meeting players where they were. We had a variety of different personalities in our party yet no one ever seemed disengaged or left out. He was encouraging and challenged us all to play in ways we weren't used to. Truly a master craftsman. Hands down the best game of DnD I've ever had the pleasure of partaking in!

Alex B. was very good, had never played before and enjoyed it a lot. Lot of fun, very inclusive and overall 10/10

Rolldark set us up with a DM, Jack, and the process was smooth and all our questions were answered. Jack has really detailed knowledge of the game and explained it well, pitching it right for our lack of knowledge. His acting/roleplaying was great and the storytelling was on point, and he worked in our requests really well to make for a fun adventure and story. It was a fab experience all round. Highly recommended!!

We had a group of complete novices and some begginer level players and it was incredibly fun. Brandon was great he made it the best experience and we cant wait to do it again!!

Had the absolute pleasure of having Brandon as our dungeon master. Kept us fully immersed with his passionate & enthusiastic story telling. Highly recommended; new and experienced.

I have been using rolldark for 2+ years and having not had a problem with the freelance GM, player or game I never had to deal with the business of rolldark directly. Over the last 2-3 weeks rolldark has proven themselves to be a poorly run business.

Rolldark banned me due to a post made by another customer. I was not aware that the other customer was going to post, nor did I know they had posted when I was kicked out of the rolldark discord server.

I received no email to advise I was banned or of the reason why. It's only due to a response on trust pilot that I am now aware of the reason for my ban.

This left me part way through a campaign, which I had paid for in full, and no mention of refunding me the money.

The freelance GMs who give rolldark these positive reviews are great but when it comes to rolldark as an actual business, it is a poor effort in absolutely every area.
