Super friendly, helpful, and did his best to give an immersive, welcoming experience!

Chris was an excellent DM. Clear, informative, patient with new players, an excellent role player, and embellished all of our “checks” and “can we do this?”.

Two part review from me. Firstly as a service RollDark is fantastic. The biggest problem with playing DnD ? , you can't play on your own ! . Rolldark solves this allowing you to group with friends across the country and also brand new groups of friends , so hats of for that.
Second part is for DM Mike. Our group approached Rolldark wanting a custom game were we asked for a specific game style, location and level. DM Mike delivered and keeps delivering on all levels. I find he had an amazing gift in using descriptive language , and you can really visualise the scene. Also he runs the games always with enough level of threat that you must be en garde at all times. Also he is not afraid to let the Dice fall and if your Dead your Dead!!
Also combat is great and is balanced with a full use of monsters powers and nothing held back. So in closing I definitely recommend Mike to DM your game as you will get a skilled DM, that can paint you the pictures you want , provide great RP with a host of NPC's and also is not afraid to kill your character in a Manor of colourful ways !!!

Great first experience with rolldark! We had JC as a DM and I could tell from the one-shot session that he is a great person with all the qualities DM needs! Only thing I am sorry abouzt is, that he had to wake up super early for our session. Keep in mind that he lives in LA atm, when you schedule with him :-)

Some friend and I played a oneshot with JC. Despite being only one session our DM put his whole into it. Characters were wonderfuly voiced, and the world was cinematic in its descriptions.

Recently started a new cyberpunk red campaign with DM Mike and a great crew. Had such a great first session and Mike was great at explaining how everything worked and set the scene really well giving us time and space to develop our own characters. Got a great feeling about this campaign. Looking forward to next session.

I’m really glad to have found you guys on the internet when a DM I booked elsewhere had to cancel my session due to family emergencies. You guys responded quickly and introduced me to one of your DMs Alex, who was fantastic! With less than 24 hours notice, Alex still gave our group of Adventurers a great mini adventure in 4 hours, and managed to make my friends who are new to D&D have a good time and decided to continue playing D&D! We will definitely come back to Rolldark to find DMs. Thanks for saving the day!

You'd think that Barovia would be absolutely last on the list of places you would miss. But gosh, when Wednesday night came around the week after our two-year Shadows of Barovia campaign finished, I couldn't help wishing I was back in the dread realm of unspeakable horrors, equally unspeakable horses, bleak scenery, unsolvable moral quandaries, and mostly-bad wine.

JC made our story absolutely cinematic. The combats were wonderful, varied, and stylish, NPCs were so real and wonderfully acted, and the world was detailed, rich, and fully interactive. JC also paid attention to every character and their individual stories, and it was fabulous to see everyone's story arc playing out as part of the whole. I couldn't have wished for a better DM - or for that matter, a better group - and I'm so glad that this was my CoS experience.

What an excellent adventure. Chris was a stellar DM. This was my first time playing D&D, and I felt immersed in the world. He put so much effort into the experience, helped us a lot, was patient, and even prepared a backstory for our characters. I'd definitely recommend Chris for your adventure. Cheers!

Chris H was incredible as a DM! It was my second time playing and he made it such a fun experience! Cant wait to jump deeper into our campaign!

We used Rolldark for the first time recently and loved it! As group that life and babies and boring responsible things keep happening to, this service is an amazing way to get a good quality game in without any stress.

We had Alex as our DM and he was so fab! He gave us an adventure with a little of everything (pubs, puzzles, weird shiz in the desert and everyone's favourite, a good old cult) and the world felt immersive and in-universe while also feeling fresh and new. He was a pleasure to have commanding the ship and his voice acting skills added so much to our experience!

The aforementioned life, babies and boring things will keep us away for a bit, but we'll definitely be back and asking for Alex again!

First started playing in peek lockdown and got hooked mainly thanks to the GM's charisma, storytelling, and super helpfulness with us newbies. I've since been on several campaigns with different Rolldark GMs and have found them all to be super inclusive and patient, especially when it comes to chucking what is effectively a group of strangers with wildly varying degrees of DnD/gaming experience in one place. Also found them and the players to be really helpful when last minute things meant I had to skip a game or 2, as I never wanted to let the team down if you know what i mean. My face always physically hurt from smiling and laughing so much at the end of every session. It was a workout haha.

i have been playing on rolldark for around a year now and my partner for two plus and i cant speak more highly of the GMs and players how ever the CEO is another story

recently my partner has been through a lot and the games we play have been our only escape. over the weekend she was triggered over events that happened within roledark. she asked for a refund and was contacted by rolldarks founder and CEO asking for a phone call to discuss the event, when told now wasnt a good time as she was still very emotional. but she agreed but he was made aware of her high sensitivity at that point he pressured for the call which i was present for, when confronted with my partners emotional state he openly laughed at her. since this interaction she has been confronted with a warning from rolldark about her behaviour. and subsequently banned after paying for games we have had no refunds or contact over,
and we have no way to remove our private information from rolldark and this is disconcerting as he has told us about other players personal information such as their mental health status and disabilities which he has no right to disclose

i would advise anyone who is a member to find your terms and conditions as we could not

anyone looking to use rolldark please be aware of the unprofessional behaviour of their management and please take care of yourselves

This was a two-shot - 4 PCs who had played a bit before, looking for a brief campaign.

Alex was excellent - as a person, friendly and welcoming, and as a DM everything you’d want to see. We’d asked for a little of everything - some roleplay, some combat, some puzzles - and Alex absolutely delivered, all in his own engaging world.

Having a trained voice actor play NPCs is a particular treat.

Would highly recommend Alex in particular, and Rolldark in general, if you are LFG.

From day one to the last Shadows of Barovia was an almost 2 year long weekly epic adventure, laden with vampires, ghosts, undead, deep rooted lore and more!

What can be said about our DM the man, the myth the legend that is John Charles Ceccherelli(JC) that hasn't already been said? He made a new player(me) feel comfortable from the first session to the final moments. Patient and understanding that the sometimes overwhelming nature of D&D can confuse even the most seasoned player at times, he guided our players throughout the world and all it had to throw at us with effortless ease.

The thought process along with rigorous preparation put into every session was incredible and I'm sure we took it for granted how rich and detailed our world filled with all the unique characters felt. JC's theatrical & voice acting background gave him a powerful arsenal of skills to draw upon to immerse us in the adventure and keep us entertained each week and coming back for more.

I'll be first to put my name down to join another John Charles Ceccherelli adventure any day of the week

Wow, I've not been able to stop thinking about the conclusion of our 2 year long Curse of Strahd campaign, I've left JC's Curse of Strahd feeling utterly satisfied with the ending, the trajectory of my character's storyline across the last (nearly) 2 years, and the chemistry our party forged.

I have played with JC for 3 years now (in another campaign[s]) and having experienced the time and dedication that he puts into his games, I was very eager to experience his running of Curse of Strahd. I waited with bated breath and as soon as a seat opened up at his table, I didn't hesitate to jump in.

I brought along a character from another campaign and JC was incredibly helpful in ensuring that his transition from the previous campaign to this one made sense and that he was seamlessly integrated into the group.

I am thoroughly satisfied with the campaign, the ending was really emotive (in typical JC fashion) showing you the many layers that all NPCs in his world have, even a villain that a few sessions before you had no thoughts of other than to eradicate. I'm also satisfied that I can take my character onto future campaigns as JC had a fantastic balance of weaving my mission into the broader campaign, whilst simultaneously leaving the autonomy over the future of our characters with us.

I just want to thank you again JC for inviting me to your table almost 2 years ago where I've had the chance to make good friends and forge memories that will last a lifetime!

Recently finished Jack Price's excellent Keep of Chaos campaign, which had the whole party constantly in fear of our character's lives, and their sanity. Too many epic moments to recount, and friendships and memories made. Recommended both to experiences and new players of D and D 5E

Really great fun! I highly recommend Rolldark to anybody looking for a great D&D experience.

I had played D&D many years ago, this was my first experience of playing D&D with modern rules and a professional Dungeon Master (Jack Price). The experience was all I could have wanted. He made all the players feel welcome, set the scene and we were quickly off on our adventures.

Jack kept the game moving at a good pace, and we benefited from some experienced players in addition to us "noobs". The game was well planned with the campaign neatly divided into 4 hours sessions.

I would highly recommend Rolldark and have already signed up for a further one-shot with a different DM, but I also look forward to playing many more games with Jack in the future.

This was my first foray into organised DnD and I was nervous. I was the only girl in a group of experienced boys and it took me a while to warm into my character, fumbling with my dice and character sheet all the while.
Jack was BRILLIANT. Patient and encouraging, the plot was fabulous, the character voices superb, and I surprised myself thinking outside the ‘experienced boy box’ with girl insights, killing the Medusa.
I would thoroughly recommend Rolldark, anything Jack is involved with, and DnD in general.

As an aside, I do have one complaint. It took me 42 years and a global pandemic to discover a simple fantasy game that is absolute joy.
