We had Jack as our DM and he was absolutely excellent. For a group of newbies, Jack explained everything clearly and crafted a story that was engaging and super fun. He was really enthusiastic and brought us all into the world with his acting skills. I can’t find enough superlatives to say how much I enjoyed it!

We've played with Harry Jepheart a year long campaign, with about one game a month. Everyone in the group loved it! He managed to incorporate our character's stories into the plot seamlessly, which made it very engaging. With the voice acting, miniatures, and his expertise it made it the highlight of the month all of us. He easily adapted his style to what we wanted from the game. I can't recommend him enough.

We had the pleasure of sharing our first ever game with Jack as our dungeon master. For a group comprised entirely of first time players, Jack anticipated the questions we had ensuring a smooth gameplay experience, his communication beforehand was massively helpful and engaging in building the excitement for the game as well as helping us steer our character creation. On the day, Jack was nothing short of excellent in his story telling, bringing each player on board, advising how the game can be played and letting us figure things out as we went along. His improv, acting and knowledge were key in making this experience so enjoyable and as an introduction to D&D it could not have gone better. Jack was brilliant, highly recommend to any other first time players and I can easily see how Jack would bring his level of mastery to more advanced games with regular players. Thanks to Jack for a great experience.

James did a fantastic job of guiding a bunch of new players through their first D&D experience. I felt like we were given reasonable guard rails while still feeling like anything was possible. He had a fantastic setup and was well prepared. It was a really great time and we'll book again!

Jack was our DM for a beginner campaign, and it was the most amazing experience ever! The storytelling, improv and world building talents from Jack were completely out of this world. He’s so incredible at bringing the whole game to life and I would 100% recommend for a D&D newbie!

Took part in the Rolldark Fest in Weeley with Jack as our GM, absolutely phenomenal. One shots are always tough to get any sort of true depth, and with a bunch of players he'd not met before it should be even harder! But he built immediate table rapport, weaved a really interesting and exciting narrative throughout the day and gave everyone their chance to shine throughout the adventure.

He seemed to be having a truly great time too! Adapted the plot in very character-specific ways on the fly - without us having a clue that it was improv until the debrief, sound effects on point, monster mannerisms alarmingly convincing and grim, but with plenty of comic relief sprinkled throughout too.

It seemed like quite a lot of money at the time of booking, but turned out well worth it - the whole event was really well organised, and for the amount of game time and with a buffet included, we thought it was great value. Met a bunch of really cool people and generally had a cracking time. Will definitely keep an ear out for the next one!

We hired Rob as our DM, and he took us on an amazing campaign! We were asked as a group before the night how we want the story to go, what kind of things we were interested in doing/seeing, so the whole campaign was tailored to us, which I found rather impressive! We were all beginners so Rob helped us through the whole game, and even went over the time a little so we could complete our mission! The way Rob engaged with the whole group, and his impressive takes on the NPCs were amazing, the whole group had such a great time, and expectations were exceeded! Defintely be playing again!

We hired Dan as a DM for a 12th birthday party for my son and 7 of his friends. Dan was aware that some of them had never played before and that the majority of them were very new to D&D and he planned an evening that suited this perfectly. He sent us materials ahead of time so the kids could get to know their characters before the evening. He was early, organised, flexible with timings and super engaging; the kids (even after 4 hours) didn't want it to end. He even gifted my son some extra treats for his birthday including a set of dice to help his on journey to becoming a DM. He also gave them advice on how to learn more, recommending good wesbites and YouTube channels. I have never used Rolldark services before & didn't know anyone who had either, so I felt like I was taking a gamble booking with them but I'm so glad I did; it was a brilliant evening and we can't thank Dan enough!

We initially booked Chris for our youth club as some folks were keen to experience DnD and give it a try.

The whole thing was fantastic and we've returned again and again! The prep and delivery was sympathetic to the group's specific needs and everyone was included. Chris took time to tailor the sessions to the group and the excitement in the room at the end was amazing to see.

An easy five star review - brilliant!

3 of my friends who had never played Dungeons and Dragons before, really wanted to play a game, so I brought in the pro's at Rolldark to give them the best first impression that they could get.
Rolldark assigned Chris H to the task and he came through with a completely unique adventure based on the answers to the question "What do you want from your session?". With answers of puzzles, magic, killing things, challenges, riding dragons and seducing fae beings. Chris went away and produced a well made one shot with a story that included everything and even more.
Chris ran the session at a good pace, taking in to account that 3 of the players didn't know the mechanics of the game, teaching them about things as they needed to know and not to overwhelm them or confuse them with too much all at once. This was really helpful and by the end of the session everyone had got the hang of things, knowing what they were doing and interacting with the VTT platform. Most importantly also having loads of fun. Chris made sure to give every one of the spot light and kept everyone engaged.
Brilliant session well run would totally recommend this to anyone no matter the level of experience or skill. The game zero helps the GM learn what you want from the proper session, but the more you put in to things on the night the more enjoyment you'll get out of it.

Booked by my Groomsmen for the last night of my stag. DM Tommy Nean created an unforgettable experience! A few hadn't played DnD before and now cannot wait for another chance to play. Highly recommended!

He was incredibly welcoming and hilarious to talk to in game and out of game. Good person and good dungeon master.

James ran a great campaign for my group of complete DnD newbies (and one experienced player). It ran over a number of sessions this year and was a great intro to DnD. I feel more confident playing and can't wait to organise another campaign. I wouldn't hesitate to use Rolldark/James again.

Our DM Tommy Nean was an absolute legend. We were all beginners and he provided a top notch, tailored experience for our work social. He was very patient and put a lot of thought into ensuring we had an amazing time. Couldn't recommend him and Rolldark enough!

Our DM Chris was an awesome, talented guy who took over a game and continued it for us for a year after we fell out with our previous DM. Sadly in the end there was a mismatch about what kind of game we wanted to run as group once we exited the beginner stage and what kind of game Chris ended up running for us for the most part. Hence why the game ended but I would still recommend him for people that want to get into D&D as beginners. Maybe not so much for experienced, more serious role players. He is a pro no doubt. Just be careful about being super clear about what you expect, since Chris is super nice he will say yes to a lot of requests but if the effort is a bit much for him or if it doesn't fit his personal style he might end up running the game as he sees fit after all.

For my birthday, my husband booked us a one-shot session with Pro GM Tommy Nean — and it was the perfect gift! As our group’s “forever GM,” I rarely get the chance to just sit back and play, so this was such a treat.

Tommy put together an interplanar heist adventure tailored to our group of misfit characters. He originally suggested level 10, but let us play at level 5 when I asked for more challenge — super flexible and thoughtful. His energy was infectious, his accents and roleplay were spot-on, and he kept us hooked with nerdy references and anime nods that fit our group perfectly.

The pacing was excellent, cinematic, and backed by great use of music. Even though it was scheduled as a 4-hour one-shot, he stayed a little longer so we could finish the final boss fight and have a satisfying ending. That extra effort really made the session shine.

I’d never played (or run) a one-shot before, and I was amazed by how much story Tommy packed into a single session. I got to play a thri-kreen white mantis for the first time — and it was an absolute blast.

All in all: professional, creative, and incredibly fun. We loved every second. (Though maybe next time on Foundry VTT instead of Roll20… hint hint, Tommy 😉)

10/10, highly recommended (will book again in the future) — thank you for making my birthday game so special!

I organised a surprise 40th birthday D&D session for my partner and Chris from Rolldark made it so easy. He turned up with everything we needed so I didn’t have to stress about the DM side of things. Communicating with Rolldark was quick and easy, they were really prompt at getting back to me, which made the whole thing even smoother. The Session Zero was great and Chris was super friendly, which instantly put everyone at ease.

On the day he DM’d for our group of six heavy role-play friends and was clearly very knowledgeable. We had such a good time and everyone came away saying how much they enjoyed it.

Would definitely recommend Rolldark – Chris was brilliant!

Tommy Nean made this night an absolute blast. Many of us were beginners but I dare say most will become regular campaigners now after such a great time. Definitely worth the money when you're in a large group. Something D&D players must experience. 5*

James did a fantastic job as DM for our teen's birthday party. He was dynamic and responsive to the (slightly chaotic!) direction the group took the game and used some lovely props to help draw the whole group into the adventure. It was a perfect party for our DnD obsessed teen!
