IF it comes on the 29th, it's 7 days.

Have email saying it's being processed, but nothing else, is it coming on the 29th? or is it not? has it been sent to a delivery company ? has it not? where is the parcel? still at river? or not? do I need to stay in for this parcel? or not? I need to nip out, but no communication to say leave in safe place, so what does one do?

I also added the 12 month payment subscription for next day deliveries etc

Asos, PLT etc used the code right away , River no, I assume I have to wait for it to activate with another order?

River used to be one of the top online shops to order from, fast delivery, updated emails and tracking, what happened? why is it so bad? why is it becoming one of the worse ones? has it changed hands? River island was my go to, but . . .

And before you say, Tammy is my middle name - GDPR and all that!

UPDATE** todays date is the 30th and guess what no parcel, no clothes, lol

Shocking! Placed order, despatched..so they said. 2 weeks 5 x times contacted by phn and txt service, gave refund (yet to recieve) said in stock order again...not in stock and 1 hr on phn!

Absolutely ridiculously poor customer service. I would never recommend anyone to use river island online.

Same comment as everyone River Island is a poor , unprofessional and rude company that doesn’t deserve to be considered honest or professional.
After I’ve placed an online order and sent back part of the order , after exactly 1 month I have not received my money back yet … this is not the first that I have problem with them .. but it’s the first time I’ve decided to review.
People work in the shop are rude and looks like they don’t want be there , they never smile , they never accommodate you in your requests.
I gave back a pair a shoes back , only because they were faulty ( bad quality) and they refund me less than what I paid … disgraceful…
So I want conclude saying that I’m not going to buy at river island anymore .

They do not answer the email you send. It just replies with 'your query has been updated' what ever that means!!, there is no reply to your email, I've been sending many emails over the last week and have not had my issue rectified. Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Maybe you could sort my complaint through here!

I peyed for my purse week ago with the special next day delivery.I didnt receive my purse!!!i try to contacted with you but you didnt answered till today!!!you ignor your client.Now i only want to my money back!!!

The worst online clothing store. The only way to get customer service to respond is to write a negative review. Then you receive absurd emails asking you for information and a waiting time of 72 hours. A week to claim the cancellation of an order that arrives late, they have given me delays to avoid canceling the order and now they tell me that it will be delivered despite indicating that I am moving and I cannot receive the order. They are not responsible for the return costs, 30 euros to return the order. I do not recommend buying in RI, the clothes are of low quality, sometimes unfinished, the worst customer service and terrible return service. I will not buy again

Bought a pair of boots just before Christmas from the St David’s Centre store in Cardiff. The first day I wore them the logo fell off the boot. I couldn’t find the receipt at that moment so popped into the store and explained the situation. It was really busy in store and I was served by I think her name was Bella and the Manager I think was called Jane. They were absolutely amazing and would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to them.

I’ve shopped a lot with River Island over the years and more so during covid times. Over the last 12 months I’ve had numerous orders arrive with completely the incorrect items, most recent order I ordered a black frill kimono in an xs and instead recieved a blue vest top in a size 14! I wish I could say this has been the only instance of this kind of mess up however, I ordered some black strappy shoes back in the summer and instead got sent some white used (yes, they’d already been worn!) strappy shoes! Whoever they have working in their warehouses clearly can’t get a simple order of goods right. It’s incredibly frustrating especially when you order an item and get sent the wrong one only to then find the one you’d ordered is now out of stock online.

Absolutely disgusted with this company! Ordered a top online which came in wrong colour.
Sent it back and recieved confirmation email they had recieved the return. This was nearly over a month ago and still no refund! Contacted customer services several times via email and telephone. To be fair the guy on the phone was helpful said he could see it had been returned to the warehouse but they had not processed the refund. Told me to send proof of return! What more do they need I've got emails to say they have recieved the return!! It had not even been tried on due to their mistake!!! I have sent images of return tracking details, emailed them twice over again to see updates and still nothing!!
I have paid for this item on my klarn so am still paying for it, I am absolutely appalled at their customer service, Needless to say I won't be using them ever again!

Have to give praise to the girl in RiverIsland Dundrum Co Dublin her name was Cara was so helpful with sizes and went above and beyond to search rails for trousers for my daughter who finds it so hard to get trousers to fit her long legs I hope she gets to see this post .

Wish I would've read all reviews before placing order. Just scrap. Never shopped there again. My order didn't arrive neither they are refunding me. Keeps on saying wait till that day , when I call on that day they give me another date. Manager never comes on phone call. My order number is 86592945

When into store last Monday to buy an item. Size wasn’t available so I ordered item with girl at check out…
Then I get an email saying my order has been cancelled.
I paid part of my order with gift card the rest with cash… no info on how a will get my money back….

I leave a review on here… RIVER ISLAND REPLIED ASKING YOU TO EMAIL THEM…. NO EMAIL GIVEN TO DO SO….

River Island at this time of year nobody should have to chase up a company to get a refund….

Absolutely useless! Saw a fantastic pink velvet jacket online. Double checked fabric content & was pleased to see 100% cotton?

Evri have not delivered my order and after many attempts of trying to contact them to see where it was i was getting no where. I decided to contact RI as i don't know if my parcel will ever be out for delivery. Explained this in my first email to RI in the hopes they could contact Evri. I was given my tracking number and a link to the website - which i already had as i tracked my parcel going nowhere for 1 week. After confirming i already had the tracking number i have been told that there is nothing RI can do and advised me to requested Evri to return the parcel before they credit it. If can't contact me for delivery of a parcel i am not holding out much hope they can return the parcel if i request it.

Certain staff seem to think it’s fine to make and pass comments about customers like today 30/12/22 when I visited menswear, young lad and girl with long brown hair, you in particular need to take a good look at yourself , you were rude, and I have two words to say too you, Absolutely not! You know what I’m talking about ! You must think I’m deaf or stupid, I tend to avoid this particular store , especially in menswear, Rude, unhelpful, or just standing there literally behind you , would be nice to browse with out feeling uncomfortable, i would say to anyone avoid this store , you’d buy better else where where assistant’s actually have some respect for the customer

If I could give a 0, I would. Over a month of trying to get my money back after returning a pair of faulty, poor quality boots. They split after 4 wears. After a large number of back and forth emails, I finally managed to return the boots. They have since refunded the £15 for a pair of heels I brought in the sale at the same time I ordered my boots. So I’ve lost over £30!

Appalling customer service, don’t stick to their “72 hour reply policy”. Will be escalating this complaint further.

I back to rewrite my review long story short I lost my package and the customer were so helpful. I found my package and I couldn’t be happier.

I purchased an item of clothing in the Cresent shopping center on Sunday 6th. I live 62.9 K away when I got home the security tag was still attached. I contacted customer service explaining this and was told I had to return to the shop to get it removed. I explained the distance, and still told I needed to return to the shop. Very very poor customer service no thought for the customer and the added costs involved in making a 125.8 k round trip not to mention my valuable time involved. They lost a longtime customer today.
