Bracelet bought as a christmas present fell apart after a couple of hours. Refused a refund or any store credit as no receipt even though bank purchase statement was produced.

TERRIBLE. Lost my parcel weeks ago which was valued at £230. It was dumped in what appears to be a neighbours garden. They have ignored all emails I have sent, deleted all comments I have made on social media platforms and have completely ignored my messages. The last email I received after I reported the parcel as missing simply told me to seek legal advice and that DPD class it as ‘delivered’ because they uploaded an image of it in some random garden.

Well I have now tried several times to get my account sorted with river island and there customer service IS TERRIBLE, they have now done something to my account and I can’t place a order or nothing, when company are struggling in this world this company deserves to go burst as it does not care about is customers at all

Too much plastic. I like RI clothes, quality is good and so is your customer service. However, I’m horrified about the amount of plastic used to package your clothes. You need to look at more environmentally friendly packaging, particularly for online orders, like other well known companies.

Very poor customer service. I ordered something which was charge twice, and customer service to handle the situation it’s going round and round to make you give up. I will not ordered again and it’s not worthy. There’s lots of company with online shopping with much better service and price.

Shambolic returns process - would never buy again. Go online to arrange a refund. Website down. Can't call as they cut you off

Ordered a black velvet dress for a wedding. Paid for express delivery. Parcel arrived today with wrong item enclosed - a pair of blue denim jeans!! Spoke to River Island customer services. Advised to return jeans and reorder the dress. But my size is now out of stock. Really shoddy service - very disappointed!

I ordered 4 bags from this dreadful company.
I paid on 2/11/23, I had confirmation of the order but nothing since. I have emailed twice and heard nothing. Quick enough to take your money,! NEVER AGAIN.

I ordered brown belted wrap coat .cost me 98 pound.but it’s not worth it…people’s want coats that at least year can easily wear in good condition.but I unfortunately said that please don’t buy that coat on this prise waste of money..I hardly use one few weeks and it’s messed up ….looks dirty and rough…very disappointed with this product.

I received a faulty product (2 buttons missing). To get a refund I have to pay 11 pounds to send the product back, which since the product costs 15 pounds forces me to keep it. This is illegal and just really bad practice. So river island can just send faulty products and there is nothing you can to about it since you can’t exercise your rights without paying upfront more money hoping that some day you’ll get a refund which is not full since you payed for shipping. Either way you lose your money.

Ordering from R ISLAND all my life but recently had to get button replaced as I ordered a haultineck which arrived with no button 2 fasten it and as I was on holidays had to get my sewing kit out

Really cute dress, buttons fell off within a couple of hours. And not ones that had any strain on them

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Extremely frustrating to deal with. Staff training is desperately needed by the online team. Avoid! I wouldn’t spend any money with them again.

If I could give River Island a 0 rating i would. Its really gone down hill in quality. I've bought from here my whole life, I have a dress that's 10 years old and remains perfect. Not anymore! Bought two dresses. Washed them twice in a 30 degree. Came out bobbly and looking years old. Bought another one a year later and the same happened. Absolute garbage quality for the price.
It's such a shame as I love the style of the clothing.
Whoever picks the material needs sacked.

I would like to leave a super positive comment for Julie, she works at the Eastbourne shop, Beacon Shopping Centre. I have never been looking after so well doing shopping in the last 9 years I have lived in UK. Really helpful, knowledgeable, very kind and always smiling. I was looking for a suit and Julie worked so hard to find the best color match and the right size. She checked in the other shops if there was availability, in the warehouse, and also she ordered what was missing and everything was perfect. I really wanted to thank Julie. You are a 🌟.
River Island should be really proud of having you as an employee.

I love the River Island brand, but today I was totally embarrassed. In the store there was a big banner about 20% for students. I chose 2 pairs of pants and explained to the seller that I had just arrived in Ireland from Ukraine. Just started college in Cork and haven't managed to get a student card yet. I have a letter confirming that I am a student. I asked the seller to give me a discount, since I just arrived in the country, there is not much money, but I liked this style of pants. It was happening in the center of Cork, a woman came up, introduced herself as the manager of the store and began to embarrass me in front of everyone: "who am I to give me a discount?!" I once again calmly explained the situation, showed the letter that I was a student. Came from Ukraine. The store manager said that under no circumstances will she give me a discount. I stood in the middle of the store feeling ashamed. The store manager gathered all the sellers around her and started talking about me, telling other sellers not to talk to me. All the sellers listened to the manager and kept looking at me. Whoever approached me wanted to help, the manager shouted at me not to talk to anyone. My English is not very good and I tried to understand what I should do, why I am being treated this way. Such a feeling that I am an unnecessary thing that is simply despised. In the end, the cashier agreed to give a 5% discount without the right to return the product. While buying this product, I felt how I was kept in fear in this store and how I was threatened. I wanted to leave the store as soon as possible and simply dissolve in shame. In no way is this store about good relations, humanity, and even more so not about respect.

Glasgow Fort store. Successful visit to the store at the weekend (Saturday) - I was unsure what I was looking for and was approached by staff member, Erin Mc...friendly, polite and professional and assisted me in what I was looking for :)

I was looking for a pair of wide trousers. I am 5'2" so normally look for petite fit or, in this case, I was looking for either ankle length or culottes. Having walked around for a while looking for either I was unsuccessful so asked one of the floor assistants if they had any, she just looked at me, frowned and said she didn't think so! I wonder if the fact that I am over 60, although still fashion conscious had any influence. Very disappointed as I feel sure they must have some as they are very "in" at the moment.

Glasgow Fort store. Received excellent service from staff members. 3 members of staff tried to help me with ordering boots via my mobile so I could get next day delivery as struggled with signal. Decided to buy different product but did not have my size. Ferne phoned another store and managed to get what I wanted put aside for me to collect before store closed. She spent lots of time with me trying to help me get what I was looking for. All staff were great. Nothing was a bother and tried their best to help me. Great team service.
