My tour in Thailand was excellent! Everything was so well planned out for us, we didn’t have to lift a finger. Thang was the best coordinator ever - he answered every question of mine leading up to the tour and stayed in touch with me 24/7 during the tour whenever we had any questions. We are very pleased and have nothing but good things to say!

Having had a minute to reflect on our trip to Thailand I am realising what a special time it was. Having an early arrival the arranged transportation to our hotel was a blessing. I'm not sure we had the bandwidth to arrange that once we landed. The first day's excursion to the Golden Palace and Emerald Buddha was a sensory overload of Thai culture and craftsmanship. Our guide was spectacular and graciously shared her knowledge and heritage as we walked the grounds of a revered space. Day two was a bit more sober as we pondered the sacrifices made building the Death Railway. Again, our guide was able to relate the gravity of this engineering feat built on the backs of World War II's POWs. We saw the museum for historical context, rode the train out to a POW camp, and visited the graves of those who perished in the struggle to complete this challenging project. Our last day in the Bangkok region was more refreshing as we climbed up the Erawan Falls and enjoyed a dip in the cool water. Before leaving Bangkok we had one last big push visiting Bang Pa-In, Awuthava, Wat Ya Chai, and Wat Phra Si Sanpeth. As this was our last day the driver and guide got us to the airport in a timely fashion. Our guide took us directly to security after we checked in and checked our bags. These first few days were a great way to get started as the schedule was not aggressive and we felt that we were actually able to take the sites in rather than grab a selfie and move on. Next we moved on to Chang Mai. An arranged driver met us and took us to our hotel for a good night's sleep before a day of exploring on our own. The first day of guided touring took us to Wachirathan Waterfall, Doi Inthanon National Park for a 3 kilometer hike that ended in an indigenous village for shopping and lunch. The afternoon was a cool-off at the highest point in Thailand complete with a story of a dedicated daughter's effort to fulfill her father's wishes to be buried at the top of Thailand. The afternoon was completed at the twin pagodas erected for King Rama 9 and his Queen. These beautiful outdoor locations were examples of the Thai connection to the land and nature. Our last day was at an elephant sanctuary. 80+ acres of wilderness all for the enrichment and support of domesticated elephants. We were overjoyed with our interactions and discovering the personality of these very large, powerful, and yet gentle beings; a definite highlight. After an afternoon of laundry, massage and an evening out for dinner it was time to head off to Phuket to wrap up our Thai sampler. All in all it was a great trip and we would return to Thailand to venture out into the rest of the country now that we have a good feel for what the country is about. The daily agenda was not aggressive and the excursions were well thought out and enriching. If you are looking for a sampler trip to Thailand, I would recommend Realistic Asia. They were communicative, organized and accommodating.

This time we went to Thailand but will see Vietnam next time. It would be great if they could add more destinations in Asia as the service is amazing.

The accommodations were all outstanding, particularly the Fusionsuites Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The cruise and visit to Ha Long Bay was also exceptional. It was a vacation we will never forget. I had my first trip with kimkim to Croatia in Oct. 2019. The local specialist, Antonia, was amazing. She was a true "Travel Magician" and we had the best time thanks to her.

Second trip with kimkim was to Portugal in Oct 2022 with local specialist Beatriz based in Madrid, and it was an absolute disaster. Beatriz failed us in so many ways. Because of my 2019 trip experience, I got my closest friends to join this trip. We were all totally disappointed and I had to keep apologizing to my friends. I was determined as a result never to travel with kimkim again.

This time, I wanted to vacation in Vietnam and my daughter encouraged me to give kimkim another chance as she and her family returned from a very good trip with kimkim in summer. Against my better judgement I did and now very pleased to report, Long did a fabulous job from start to finish, and has restored my faith in kimkim.

At the outset I asked Long if he had read my 2 previous reviews, and told him that I expected him to perform and deliver to my expectations. And yes, Long more than delivered. He understood my "demands" - great sightseeing, great local food, the best but not outrageously-priced hotels, and superior guides/on-the-ground service.
Long put together a wonderful trip itinerary for Vietnam and was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process.

Thanks to his diligence, and stellar customer service, my husband and I had the most enjoyable time and loved Vietnam.
We did so many interesting and fun things. Ate the best local food, great foodie tours. Stayed in well-located 5-star hotels - charming boutique hotel in Hanoi French Quarters, the best room (gigantic honeymoon room with this phenomenal round bed) on our Ha Long Bay cruise, beautiful Moire Hoi An (IHG collection) right by the river in Hue, etc, etc.

On arrival in Vietnam, they provided VIP Fast Track Service at the airport, and we were escorted and breezed through customs.
We had our own private cars with excellent, careful drivers and great, very knowledgeable local guides.
While waiting to board our flight home, we met fellow travelers at the airport who didn't do half the fun and exciting things we did - Highlights: Cyclo Tour (we were pedalled through downtown Hanoi in their version of rickshaw right smack in the heart of downtown traffic with our cyclist assuring us repeatedly "No. 1 Driver!" as he skilfully avoided oncoming buses and motor bikes.), flat-bottom boat ride down the river in Tam Coc where the boats were rowed with feet not hands, Citadel (stunningly beautiful Imperial palace in Hue built with heavy French influence), basket boat ride in Hoi An and Sai Gon Night Street Eats with Vespa Wanderers (sat pillion on Vespa scooters and ferried from restaurant to restaurant eating the most delicious local food - best coffee, best Vietnamese sandwich, amazing fancy restaurant, best local dessert and capped it off with drinks at a nice bar.)

Long planned a fabulous itinerary for us, and totally performed and delivered. He personally welcomed and met us in Hanoi with souvenir gifts handmade by his girlfriend, prepped us every day on what to expect the next day, made sure we had the best guides and drivers, checked with us every day to make sure we were happy and had no complaints....in constant contact and responded immediately to anything we needed.
In short, he was OUTSTANDING, THE BEST, another true Travel Magician.
He even checked and made sure we returned home safely.

The "Amazing Vietnam Super Save Package" by Realistic Asia definitely lived up to its name as my family and I had a truly wonderful time. The tour was well-paced and managed to fit in a lot of activities in 10 days without being overwhelming. We experienced a wide range of adventures in Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh. We traveled around Vietnam for two weeks with Realistic Asia. The organization was really excellent, all pick-up times were on time, travelling happened in small groups and comfortable cars and buses. Linh at Realistic Asia made our trip so easy. We did 18days in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia and Linh was able to customize an itinerary we chose to exactly what we wanted. It was very helpful to have someone in the same time zone to answer questions and Linh was in touch on WhatsApp everyday to confirm pick up times and check in about how our tours were.
