I thought I had booked return tickets. I hadn't the mistake cost mr £54.00 so beware of making the same mistake.
I wanted to book return tickets on the flam railway but was unsure. I reached out to the support team and got a prompt reply. Once I had booked I received an email saying they had been pleased to help me book my tickets. Excellent service. Now awaiting my tickets. Got an email and checked my ticket. It was one way for £159.00!!
Our mistake!!! We decided that a return trip was too expensive so asked to cancel. The charge to cancel was £54.00 pound. We felt that this was a total rip off and very excessive and we are very disappointed!! The responses were quick and helpful but it was a costly mistake that we made so beware if you book.

Speedy response ànd positive action make for trust in customer support
We had to change our return journey with Eurostar because my husband, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was getting very anxious about being in the city ànd also suffering from the heatwave. Trying to change with the travel company itself proved impossible, so I turned to Railmonsters who answered my email within minutes, and offered to do their best to help us get back earlier. They didn’t make easy promises, but within 30 minutes, we had àn earlier train booked ànd thé extra cost for the change paid for. Àll the emails were friendly yet professional, and even when I had a later problem with the sudden invisibility of the QR codes, their customer service staff responded to provide an image that could be scanned at the station. I would recommend them most highly.

I booked rail tickets through Rail Monsters and was shocked to discover how much I had been overcharged compared with the actual ticket value.
I was charged NZD 766.74, which equated to approximately TWD 13,878. However, the official railway tickets I received clearly show a total ticket value of only TWD 7,860.
This means Rail Monsters charged an additional TWD 6,018, representing a staggering 76.6% markup over the actual ticket price.
When I contacted customer service and requested an explanation and refund, I was simply told that the price was displayed at checkout and therefore the charge was correct. No meaningful justification was provided for why the booking fee amounted to nearly 77% of the actual ticket cost.
I am in possession of the train tickets issued by the railway company, which clearly show the original ticket prices, so there is no dispute regarding the actual fare paid to the rail operator.
While Rail Monsters may be an independent booking platform, travellers should be aware that the final amount charged can be dramatically higher than the actual ticket value. I strongly recommend comparing prices directly with the railway operator or other booking channels before purchasing.
My experience was extremely disappointing, and I believe other travellers should be aware of these excessive markups before using this platform.

Midnight search in Madrid
We were struggling after midnight to book trains out of Madrid for our daughter and her small kids -- and Railmonsters was there! Sadly, they were not able to find any tickets on the early train, which was a bitter disappointment -- but the Help desk was awesome. After finding tickets on a later trip they fully refunded *everything*, because our daughter went in person and found tickets on her own.
