If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought three cutting boards and regret it immediately. The edges are sharp and feel unsafe to use. The company claims these boards won’t damage your knives—but metal on metal? That’s hard to believe.

To make matters worse, I’ve been charged $45 for the past two months for a “subscription” I never signed up for. I didn’t authorize any recurring payments, and there’s been no explanation.

I’ve tried calling multiple times—no one ever answers. They take my phone number and email, but I’ve never heard back. Terrible product, worse customer service.

If I could rate zero I would. The marketing looks great but I didn’t believe the poor quality of the packaging and product when it arrived. Beaten up broken plain white box and plastic wrapping on the boards, nothing like I was expecting. No way I was using this to prepare food. Also when you look into it funnily enough these boards can’t be chopped on unless you’re happy with tiny bits of metal from your knives going into the food. A total waste of money and straight in the bin. Then to add insult to injury they took £22 every month since the purchase, claiming there is some subscription they sign you up for (without telling you at the time I might add). I will be following up with my credit card company to get this back. Don’t touch these guys with a barge pole!

Random charge of 41CAD. I was wondering how the company make their money since this is a one time purchase. I understand now. I'm cancelling my CC.

It's mostly a scam. They make it look like you're getting a "free" lifetime warranty thrown in, but buried somewhere in the small print is that this is recurring monthly fee and the "free" offer is for one month.

Add to this that the actual product is rubbish; arrived bent and despite the claims blunts knives VERY quickly. In short, just avoid. I fell for it without reading he reviews, hopefully this will save someone else from also falling for it.

On August 5, 2025, I purchased what I believed was a one-time cutting board from PureCut after seeing an Instagram ad. At checkout, there was no clear disclosure of any subscription or ongoing membership. Only after being charged unexpected recurring fees did I realize the company had enrolled me in a subscription I never agreed to.

Attempts to cancel and request a refund were met with confusing policies and poor customer support. PureCut’s practices are deceptive, preying on consumers who think they are making a simple purchase.

Key Issues:

No clear disclosure of subscription at checkout.

Recurring charges without consent.

Difficult cancellation process and lack of accountability.

Aggressive Instagram advertising targeting unsuspecting buyers.

Recommendation:

Avoid PureCut. If you’ve been affected, file complaints with the FTC, your state attorney general, and report the misleading ads on Instagram. Companies like this should not be allowed to profit from deceptive subscription traps.

The titanium chopping board I received was pretty good and fairly priced I think. It does scratch a bit, but cleans easily and my knives aren't getting noticeably blunter using it. However, they automatically sign you up to Pure Cut Collective subscription. I don't remember choosing when I bought the board, and no email from the company mentions this hidden subscription. 3 months later and they have taken a total of £66 from bank account. I've managed to cancel future payments with my bank, but I think I'm going to struggle getting my £66 back.

I got the cutting board. It's fine. Two months after, though, I got a charge for an expanded package of perks. They cancelled the ongoing "subscription" when I noticed the charge, but said that they couldn't refund the $29.99 that I'd already been charged.

Scammers who sign you up for a $30 a month subscription with any purchase, for which you get nothing.

It's going to take a trip to the bank to sort this out as they've been charging me for 3 months without me noticing 😕

The product seems top be ok, but they have overbilled me and continue to bill me an additionla mount each month. I have tried to reach them via the phone number they provide but always get a message that there are no service reps available. At this time i can only assume they are scammers that provide a product and make their money with false billing

Same as others. They do not disclose anywhere in the purchasing process that you’re required to sign up for a $29 USD monthly subscription hoping that you don’t check your bank statements while they continually take your money.

It’s a scam. The board is average but the main issue is the automatic enrolment into a reoccurring charge on your account. Do not buy, it’s a scam!

I successfully canceled the PureCut subscription. Here is how:
To cancel your PureCut Collective membership, send an email to: support at purecut dot co. ( the guidelines do not allow email adresses so you will need to substitute @ and . for the words at and dot)
Include in your email your order number and the email address you used for the purchase.

The following day I received an email confirming the subscription was canceled.
FYI - the benefits of the subscription are primarily a 50% reduction in price of future orders.

I just noticed on the 9/3/25 that purecut placed in my cart a $29.00 per month subscription to their website when I order a cutting board back in May. I saw the charge for the cutting board in my June Statement. $45.00 for the purchase.In July things were busy and I didn't pay real close attention to my credit card statement. But there was a charge of $29.00 payable to purecut. Aug was busy so I missed the the $29.00 charge payable to purecut. I went to the purecut website. I see they have already charged me a third time for $29.00. I didn't order any subscription. So, I went back to when I placed my original order for the cutting board, and there it was. They place the subscription in your cart automatically, place a line through the $29.00 charge and so it appears their is no charge. It is very deceptive. So deceptive I wonder if it is teetering on criminal deception. Theft by swindle. I will never buy another product from this company no matter how good the product is. Trickery is not good business.

Scam. Product is ok I suppose but not groundbreaking.

Disputed the 41$ charge the first time I saw it and shut down my credit card. Bad business.

We bought two cutting boards earlier this year and just got hit with a random $29 per month subscription fee that we never agreed on. Our credit card company says it was buried in the fine print. $29 for what exactly??? We didn't receive any cutting boards...

We have reported them to the FTC and the state attorney general's office.

I like the boards for cutting but the edges are rough. The food containers are lightweight and have a good seal.

Customer service was slow but ok. The problem is you are AUTOMATICALLY signed up for their MEMBERSHIP club which is quite expensive. I had an unexpected charge on my card, had no idea I had joined some club and they cancelled the membership when I asked for clarification of the charge. I'm contacting my cc company to ensure that pure cut can't process anymore charges. For that alone, I do not recommend.

Buying the cutting boards, which are fine at best, should not enroll you into a monthly subscription. I just noticed I have been charged $29.99 for the last three months, and I get nothing for that subscription. This is a scam to grab money after a sale. DO NOT BUY.

Just like so many others I have just realised that this is a scam company. They are taking £22 from my credit card every month. Card issuer is supporting and hopefully will refund but DO NOT BUY THESE. Boards are tiny and no way worth what I paid for them.

I would not put any star if I had the choice. I bought the cutting board in May and they subsequently took £66 out of my account!!!! £22 per month for a subscription that was not aware of!

I gave one star because the app will not permit zero. I ordered two boards and they took nearly four weeks to arrive. From Australia, I discovered later. The repeated emails to see where my order was were simply ignored. When they finally arrived one of them was defective with gouges along one edge and indentations from one side to the other. I contacted Pure Cut. It took them almost a fortnight to reply in mealy-mouthed language saying they were really sorry and they would get right on it etc. Lies. Repeated emails drew similar responses. Eventually the replacement came. It was so bowed that it rocked on the work surface. More emails from me in an increasingly exasperated tone. Virtually no replies from Oz. I finally asked for a refund which prompted an almost immediate response, which said that they didn’t do refunds or return labels. I could have thirty percent of what I’d paid as store credit which I didn’t want by this time. I’m currently pursuing the dispute through my bank.

Not only but also… as others have observed, they con you into taking out a £22 per month subscription. My bank has helped me to cancel this subscription and refunded me the three payments I made.

Avoid these Aussie ratbags like the plague. Crappy products, crappy customer service, and crappy everything else. Worst service ever.
