In 1998, Propstore founder Stephen Lane’s love for movies led him to hunt for the same props and costumes used to create his favorite films. Awesome
Got a rather affordable item, but the packaging was godlike nonetheless. Shipping was fast, handling took some days. Item price was reduced by UK VAT because of international order.

Not impressed,.. the bidding process is confusing. When you going into the live auction you see a tab that says login to bid,.. you do and then the tab changes to purple and says bid now. When you go on eBay and hit bid now a screen pops up and asks for the dollar amount. This company doesn’t do that, when you hit bid now, it doesn’t work,… you are just supposed to know that they want you to use the box to the left of the bid now tab to but a $ amount in and THEN hit bid now. I guess your just supposed to know this, even if you never bid before. This is opposite of how eBay does it and when your item is live you don’t have time to realize something is wrong. If you hit the bid now without put in A $ value , you should have a error message alerting you ,it doesn’t. The bids keep going up and you keep hitting bid now , eventually the bids quit going up and it says that the internet bidder is winning,.. so you think that’s you. It’s not and they don’t indicate which internet bidder is winning, they is usually more than one. But the time you realize how there screwed up system works,.. it’s to late, the auction is over and someone who bid less than what you were willing to pay has won. No messages to alert you that a error was made, no distinction between internet bids to let multiple internet bidders know who is winning. Even one of there customer service employees said after you hit bid now that a box should pop up for you to put a $amount in. What a waste of time.

I can see that you successfully placed a few bids on this item. Just to clarify, when the bid is with you, the 'bid' button is greyed out, meaning you don’t need to bid again unless someone else places a higher bid. At that point, the button will turn purple, allowing you to bid again if you choose to. You can also track all bidding activity just above the live auctioneer window, where you'll see a breakdown of bids in real-time.
If online bidding isn’t working for you or you’d prefer a different method, we offer several alternatives:
📞 Phone Bidding – A member of our team can call you when your lot is up and place bids on your behalf.
✉️ Absentee Bidding – You can set a maximum bid in advance, and the system will bid automatically for you up to that amount.
🏛 In-Person Bidding – If it's an in-person auction, you’re always welcome to attend and bid live!
We just ask for a little advance notice to arrange these options, so if you’re interested, please reach out a few days before the auction.

We tend to use FedEx for shipments because they are a premium service and the best in the world at shipping the types of items that we sell. They also have end-to-end tracking, which is a big must for us as we ship all over the world.

Above And Beyond Customer Service
Despite being their busiest year-end crunch time, the Customer Service team went above-and-beyond to expedite and ship an item overseas for an extremely special family gift. Thanks to their efforts, it (miraculously) arrived in time and saved our Holiday celebration. I'll be forever grateful for their efforts.

Satisfied Overall. Learned Lessons in Absentee Bidding.
Purchased an item via their London auction in November 2024 and received the item January 16th. Satisfied with the process overall. My only word of caution is with using the max absentee bid option because I'm fairly certain they up-bid my item with fake bids to reach my maximum and make the most amount of money. Lesson learned for the next one, but makes me feel like I overpaid and was scammed a little bit. Overall though, they are a respected dealer in the prop space and I would just bid in a live auction or use their store in the future.

I can assure you that there is no scamming, with the bidding rules explained in the terms and conditions. There are strict rules and regulations that govern auction house procedures and how different methods of bidding interact with each other, and we always strive to be transparent.
From the details in your review, there are a couple of scenarios that potentially played out:
- After you set your max bid on the lot, another bidder came in with their own max bid or offline bid. Competing max bids can make the winning bid jump up multiple increments in succession.
- Your initial bid may have been the top bid and winning, but was below the reserve price set with our seller and therefore would not have won the lot if the auction finished then (the reserve amount is not public, but will never be higher than the low estimate). When you subsequently placed your max bid, this was above the reserve – and our system would then take the bidding up to the reserve price, which may have been your max bid. Also to note, we never raise reserves after the auction has launched for bidding.

First-Time Winner, Satisfied Buyer
Mostly I'm happy to have gotten the items safely in hand. As a newcomer to the whole process it would have been great to get a little more detail up front about just how long the validation and packaging process takes. I was expecting to receive things much sooner but once I adjusted my expectations all was well.
