I’m grateful for this program and the opportunity to improve my skills in project management. This program was very useful in increasing my people skills, business acumen and professionalism! I’d recommend PMI 10/10 to anyone looking to become a better professional.

I thought the exam was a fair assessment of project management knowledge. However, my test prompted my first break after 10 questions, then 85 questions, then another 85. I had practiced for a 60/60/60 split and I think the pacing would have been better with that approach.

The PMP exam was difficult and challenging, especially without thorough preparation and a solid study plan. This was my second retest, and I had to make significant changes to my study approach to move closer to my goal.

I learned that simply studying more is not enough—you have to study strategically. Understanding the PMI mindset, practicing situational questions, reviewing mistakes, and managing your time are all critical to success.

My biggest takeaway is that preparation, consistency, and the willingness to adapt your study strategy when something isn’t working can make a significant difference. The journey has been challenging, but each attempt has taught me something valuable and strengthened my determination to succeed.

I would say it was reaffirming for me...in the sense that I had taken the CAPM a while back, had a break as I pursued other ventures. Taking the PMP now, a step higher, refreshes and reinforces my project management knowledge, ups my skills and positions me for even greater exploits. I am also glad to see that the processes have been more streamlined and the scope expanded to include Agile projects and the responsible use of AI. In all, a great experience. Thank you!

The exam format was a little confusing. It was not as described and would benefit from a bit more structure. Additionally it would be better if the breaks were at approximately the 1 hour mark and the 2 hour mark. I had my first break after 15 minutes so it made the last two hours very long without a bathroom break.

The tools and UX/UI functioned well and there was clear instruction at every turn.

Navigating the PMP certification path with PMI was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. The online educational offerings fit my learning style perfectly, it's well‑structured, easy to digest, and genuinely valuable for personal growth and professional development. Overall, the journey pushed me, taught me, and ultimately helped me level up in ways I’m proud of.

The testing center was thorough and great. They provided a pen, scrap paper, a physical and digital calculator option, and the system also had the ability to highlight/strikethrough.

I did find the actual exam a little different than the official PMI practice exam in the Case Study area. The exam has the first section split out, so you focus on the Case Study questions essentially all at once. The official practice exam sprinkled two Case Study sections roughly 1/3 & 2/3 of the way through the exam.

The official exam had two breaks, one after the initial Case study section, and one at about Question 90-100 of 180.

I think this is fine, but the discrepancy between what I'd practiced and prepared for and the reality honestly threw me off for a bit. You also can't go back to review previous answers after each break. This is communicated in the actual exam, but I wasn't prepared for it ahead of time because the Practice Exam experience was different.

The real exam was a slightly easier than the practice exam, but with the different format and breaks, time management is even more important than on the practice exam. The first portion of your exam is dedicated to ~10 of the 180 questions. I spent too much time in this area, and had to really blitz through and I did not feel as confident in my answers because I couldn't spend the time.

I have been a PMP for over 20 years. My application got picked up for audit (apparently) randomly. My application for PgMP got picked up for audit 2 weeks after that. Please use some intelligence in your system while picking up for audit.
During the review process, I was told the training I provided did not meet the requirement. I did not get an email and after the customer service agent sent me the email, it was very unclear as I had taken a 48 PDU course from a PMI authorized vendor. Eventually it was approved. This shows that PMI is not using intelligent judgement which selecting for audit or reviewing the application. Please fix your process

I think the content was good and the questions were formed well to give a well-informed idea of the test-taker's understanding of the material. However, I think the same understanding could be proven in fewer questions. Sitting for the exam itself was exhausting.

Exam experience

I had breaks after 10 questions and after 95. It was supposed to be 60 and 60. This is not good. I asked the examiner for a break after 75 questions, but they did not allow me to.

Also, I was not able to take the exam from my desk because there was a completely disconnected external monitor on my table. I could not remove it and ended up taking the exam from a coffee table.

The rest was pretty straightforward.

Instructor made the learning interesting and I passed my exam on the first try.
