The information provided and sample exams helped prepared for the test. But the content is very IT and construction focused. There are other industries that require project management it would be great to expand a bit on the knowledge content

Taking the PMP was like a hurdle that felt like it can’t be crossed with everything going on at the same time and thinking about upskilling as a financial analyst, but I took the bull by the horns and it was worth it. I am certified and I am happy. The platform and experience were smooth, and the questions were technical but deep thinking was the way out.

My overall experience pursuing the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) was highly positive. From submitting my application to scheduling and completing the examination, I found the process well structured, transparent, and easy to navigate.
I particularly appreciated the flexibility of the scheduling process. When changing circumstances required me to reschedule more than once and request an extension, PMI was responsive, and each step was handled in a straightforward and professional manner.
The only disappointing aspect of my experience arose with my initial examination appointment, which I missed because of a misunderstanding regarding the time zone. Although I understood the applicable policy, having to pay the examination fee again to secure a new test date was an unfortunate setback.
Having last completed a formal project management certification examination in 2008, when I earned my PRINCE2 qualification, returning to this level of study and assessment after many years was a significant undertaking. I was therefore delighted to conclude the journey by passing the PMP examination with an Above Target rating in all three domains tested.
Overall, my experience with PMI was rewarding, and I am proud to have achieved the PMP certification. The journey required commitment and perseverance, but the outcome made it well worth the effort.

PMI website is modern and easy to navigate. The PMP application process was simple to complete. I had a few exam scheduling issues with Pearson tied to time zones, but the issues were promptly resolved.

The PMI study hall mocks and practice was super helpful! Test was fair and straightforward . My only issue would be the break after 10 questions then very long stretch.

It was a great experience. My only suggestion is that the way the test is organized where it's like you get the first 10 questions and then you get a 10 minute break. It's like you're forfeiting at 10 minute break because you don't really need that 10 minute break yet and I was a bit distracted because you know TMI but I had to use the bathroom frequently throughout the test and it would've been nice to have had that second 10 minute break a little bit further in versus in the first 10 question because I answered those first 10 questions probably within like 10 minutes and so it just wasn't a good use of that you know the first of the 210 minute break so maybe it should be further in like maybe the first 25 or 30 questions and then you get a 10 minute break but other than that it was such a great test I passed above Target and all domains. I think the second test was more aligned with like how workers actually done now versus the previous test was a little bit outdated so I felt like this test, especially if you have experience in the real world was easier to relate to so you didn't have to try to understand the industry or the domain or the nuances you could really just focus on OK is this a PMI minded question does this make the most sense? Is this representative servant leadership is this representative of you know PMI standards and PMP standards so I think it was a really good test.

I had a very positive experience with the Project Management Institute during my PMP certification journey. The application process was clearly structured, the instructions and exam requirements were well documented, and the overall certification process was professional.

Preparing for the PMP also helped me strengthen my understanding of predictive, agile, and hybrid project management approaches—not simply memorize terminology. The exam was challenging and required careful thinking about real-world project situations, leadership, stakeholder management, risk, and decision-making.

After completing the exam, there was a short processing period before the final result and certification information appeared, so candidates should not be concerned if everything is not updated immediately.

Overall, I found the PMP certification process rigorous, valuable, and professionally managed. I would recommend it to experienced professionals who want to strengthen both their project management knowledge and their ability to make better project decisions.
