I recently took and successfully passed my PMP® certification exam through the Project Management Institute (PMI). Overall, I had a very positive experience.

The application and examination process was well organized and professional. The exam was challenging and focused heavily on practical, real-world project management situations rather than simple memorization. I especially appreciated how the preparation process strengthened my understanding of leadership, stakeholder management, Agile/Hybrid approaches, risk management, and business considerations.

After significant preparation, I was very happy to pass with Above Target in Process and Business Environment and Target in People.

For experienced professionals considering PMP certification, I believe the journey is definitely worthwhile. The preparation itself provides valuable knowledge that can be applied directly in the workplace.

PMI continues to be the gold standard for project management framework and certification. The application process, candidate portal, and study resources (such as the PMBOK Guide and practice materials) are well-organized and thorough. The global recognition of certifications like the PMP makes the investment of time and effort well worth it for professional growth.

Was shocked at the amount of grammatical errors. Needs better proofreading/editing.

It was exciting to take the exam and pass. What made it possible was the study hall. That helped a lot. I went through the modules and took all the practice questions and exams several times and once I felt comfortable with my scores of 75%-83% I decided to take the exam. Just be aware that it takes a lot of time and effort.

The PMP certification learning process and exam measured in-depth knowledge of all of the principles that prove why PMI is the highest and best standard for all project managers. I am so proud to have earned this designation.

Great source of information and resources to prepare for the certification.

The PMP exam seemed very wishy washy and the questions and answer selections could be worded better, and in a way that minimizes confusion. I don't feel like the exam prep was very applicable to the actual exam. As for the alloted time on the test, it did not leave me much time to allow me to give feedback to PMI during the test. If there was a way to mark each question for feedback during the test, and then after the test it allowed you to go back and provide feedback without taking up the exam time it would be better and you would receive better feedback on the actual questions.

I started preparing for PMP at least 3 years ago. I see evolution of agile concepts and updates that are very relevant to PM role.

Challenging but fair exam that truly tests your ability to apply project management principles in real situations. Registration and scheduling were smooth and well organized. Plenty of scenario-based practice is the key to success!
