My experience with the Project Management Institute and the PMP certification process was excellent. The application requirements and instructions were clear, and the overall process was well structured from beginning to end.

Preparing for and completing the PMP exam was challenging, but it was also one of the most rewarding professional development experiences I have had. The certification goes beyond memorizing project management concepts and really tests your ability to think through real-world situations, leadership challenges, stakeholder issues, risk, communication, and decision-making.

I also appreciated the professionalism and consistency of PMI throughout the process. Earning my PMP certification gave me an even greater appreciation for the standards PMI brings to the project management profession. I would absolutely recommend the PMP journey to experienced professionals who want to strengthen their project management knowledge and demonstrate their commitment to the profession.

This is regarding the certificate revocation which I feel is not fair to me.

A challenging but very rewarding experience. I appreciated that the PMP exam focused on real-world project management judgment and decision-making rather than simply memorizing concepts. I had an excellent experience with PMI. The membership and PMP certification journey provided valuable resources, structured guidance, and opportunities for professional development. The process was clear and easy to navigate, and I appreciated the quality of the learning resources and support available throughout my PMP preparation. PMI offers a strong professional community and valuable networking opportunities for project and program management professionals. I have already recommended PMI to a friend and look forward to continuing to engage with the PMI community.

On average, the questions provide enough context for analyzing and selecting the appropriate answer. I was a little surprise to get a break so early in the test, I would have preferred for them to be more proportionated. Otherwise, I got a return fast (within 48hrs as indicated) and a summary of the exam results. From that point on, it is great. You have resources and are encouraged to share your success. It really brings the excitement of accomplishment.

The room was great, the challenge was hard, but I passed.

There are so many things that came as a surprise when I took the test I will just list them. I should also say I still passed the exam so my 1 star review isn’t from anger or resentment or anything.
1. The exam wasn’t in the 60-60-60 format I was expecting and I was given ZERO notice about it. I thought I messed something up when I had to review my answers after the first 40 and the proctor couldn’t provide any information. My exam format was 40-70-70
2. The test was littered with typos. Blatant incomplete sentences and very weird wording made some of the questions very difficult to understand.
3. The real test didn’t feel anything like the practice tests. I’ve been studying through the PMI Study Hall for the last month or two and was feeling very confident by scoring in the mid 70s. But after the real exam I was very worried because it didn’t feel anything like what I was prepping for. There was content/terminology/charts and illustrations on the exam I’ve never heard of or seen before in my studying or time as a PM. One of the “Case Study” questions with a big description only had 1 question associated with it while the other had something like 10.

If these changes are related to a new test, they should be properly communicated. This is an expensive test that I prepared a lot for and expect to have all the kinks addressed before a new rollout. Still very grateful for PMI to exist and support PMs like me, but this new test needs to be fixed ASAP.

The Study Hall exam prep was excellent - provided ample practice to prepare for the PMP exam. A few times I had questions about the product, and the customer service agents were very helpful

I didn’t find the free exam prep questions helpful because they didn’t simulate the exam….timed blocks. The PMI Study Hall plus was extremely beneficial. The ability to sit through a timed test was crucial to my success. I also thought the questions and review prepared me better for the test. The ability to reset them and retake them several times really helped me focus my thinking for the real thing.

Professional experience and real value of the verification

Preparing for the PMP certification builds lasting discipline and practical insight. For continuous growth, PMI’s publications remain an essential reference for any practicing project manager. Definitely recommend PMP Certification.

The process was seamless. It was extremely helpful that Project Management Academy is well aligned with PMI in their training and exam preparation. The instructions for taking the test were clear. After testing, I received my results immediately and I received my certificate two days later!

What made my experience great was the professional products provided for PMI that prepared me for my exam.

This was a good course, but the exams still seem to be the old school way of thinking compared to the new 2026 version of the official PMP exam.
