Please rest assured that all of our policies are cancelled on a pro rata basis subject to no claims. In most cases, we will waive our cancellation fee if we’re unable to facilitate a policy amendment. Absolutely disgusted with the behaviour from an employee named dean, every time he spoke to me he was huffing and puffing like he was doing me a favour . Told him to raise a complaint for me said he coudotn do it as the departments busy, eventually he said he raised it however how I don’t believe he has and I will need to contact them again as usual

PLAN USE CRAWFORDS 3rd PARTY HANDLER
All these great reviews, you guys need to wait until you have to make a claim. Then write a review, my Mercedes was stolen on 5th August 2023, Plan used a company called Wakham to insure me, I was interviewed by them by phone, then the case was passed to another company called Crawfordstpa who handle claims and litigation for Plan insurance, they treat you like you are the thief, then dont communicate and then say they will pay but dont. I had to buy another Mercedes for £45,000 while Crawfords continue to stall and Plan brokers do not chase up. You might get the cheapest insurance thru plan but the true colours will show when you need to make a claim. Check broadspiretpa on TRUSTPILOT to get a better understanding.
Edit update: The power of Trustpilot, put the above on yesterday, they paid into my account today.

Dear Mr Chellum,
We appreciate your frustration and as your broker, we acted to speed the process along as much as possible. As per our conversations, due to certain complexities relating to your theft claim, Crawford & Company, the claims management company appointed by your insurer, Wakam, were required to conduct an investigation before any payment could be made. Subsequently, the claim settlement was agreed awaiting the receipt of your ownership documents and car keys. Due to the value of your claim, the payment required authorisation from a manager to release the funds which caused a further delay of a few days. We have passed your feedback onto the companies in question and will follow the matter up to encourage a review of their practises.

20 years with Plan and I see no reason to go anywhere else..

I dealt with Mr Charles Belton-Brown who was most helpful, he kept me fully informed at every stage. If I had a query he handled it quickly and efficiently and when we asked if something could be adjusted he dealt with that too. - highly recommend this chap.

If i could have given -stars i would i am still stranded in france with my car destroyed in an accident another english persons roofrack and storage box came off smashing the front of my tesla so badly it can not be driven i was recovered from the motoway by rescue services. To a local garage then had to pay for a hotel next day spent 6 hours on the phone to plan insurance and markerstudy got absalutely nowhere then had to get a taxi to hertz renta €96 i then pay for a hire car €980 then I HAD TO ARRANGE A PRIVATE COMPANY IN ENGLAND £2500 to come and pick the car up plus STORAGE FEES IN FRANCE €380 and im still stuck in france I HAVE NO GOOD WORDS TO SAY APPALLING SERVICE my costs are not all listed there are many more plus my wife now has back pain since the colision i will be contacting the ombudsman when i get home. I asked for a green card extension to my motor trade policy to cover all eventualities including breakdown and recovery they did not even issue the documents until a week after the accident I am now at least £4000 out of pocket and im the innocent victim
How the get a 4* plus rating is beyond me all the others have obviously not had to claim......

i have read the reply from plan insurance they did not mention that i asked for all eventuality's in france and that included all that they is not covered under the policy also the documents were never sent to me i had to request them 1 week after the accident they were emailed to me but that never stopped them taking an extra £142 for 2 weeks extension to my policy very sharp practice indeed,

We appreciate you've had a terrible experience. However, the insurance product you purchased via Plan Insurance Brokers does not cover you for breakdown, onward travel, hire car cover or hotel accommodation. No Motor Trade policy that we offer here has those features. The insurance product you purchased from us is only required to cover your third-party claims and costs attributed to your vehicle's repairs in the event of an accident.
If you did want those additional covers (such as breakdown and onward travel), you would've needed to purchase them as separate policies - more than likely as breakdown and travel insurance policies. But we do not offer these here at Plan Insurance Brokers.
We have reviewed our internal claims notes, and we can see the third parties insurer is handling your claim; if there is anything we can provide to help you with this, please don't hesitate to call or email us.
Thank you for updating your review with the extra information; whether or not you had the physical insurer docs wouldn’t have changed the outcome; the fact you paid the £142 (and you received an agreed level of cover) was enough to cover you for the incident that are you currently processing with the third party’s insurer. Had you not paid the £142 premium, the vehicle would have been covered for Third Party Only.
We hope the claim with the third party’s insurer is moving along, and as mentioned, if there is anything we can provide, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
