Pictorem made an amazing metal print we used for an award.

Wanted to give 5 stars as this company printing quality is best I have ever experienced. Unfortunately their customer service is severely lacking. I had print damaged in shipping and have been promised a remake for over 45 days. They communicate thru various zen desk operators each one giving different answers. Unfortunately I am going to have to switch to a new company for my professional printing needs.

I made a mistake with my first picture . Let the staff know how disappointed I was . Even though it wasn’t their fault they redid my pic. No additional charge . I world highly recommend them to snyone who wants quality work . Thanks again

(Please read if your business depends on reliable printing)
I operate a professional iris-art photography business and have produced over 300 shipped metal prints with Pictorem.
What I’m sharing here is not one mistake…
Not a “bad week”…
But months of careless support, production failures, and business-damaging delays.
This is everything I wish someone warned me about.
1. September 2025 — The beginning of continuous problems
My first issues began in September. Several orders were delayed so long that I ended up waiting 21 days for responses and 30+ days for production movement.
Their support “reactions” were extremely slow, often careless, and I had to chase every update.
This forced me to refund my own clients, even though the delays were completely out of my control.
2. Shipping chaos — Wrong prints sent to the wrong customers
Another massive problem:
Pictorem started sending wrong prints to the wrong clients.
I had customers receiving someone else’s iris artwork — a huge breach of trust and professionalism. And because of their slow reaction times, I had to refund those clients and remake everything again.
A mistake like that should be treated as urgent.
Instead, I waited weeks for support to even acknowledge it properly.
3. Frozen orders for 3 weeks with no explanation
My more recent orders (October–November) sat frozen for almost 3 weeks with zero production progress.
No proactive email.
No dashboard alert.
No apology.
No timeline.
Every time I reached out, responses contradicted each other:
➡️ “It’s almost ready.”
➡️ “We’ll expedite it in two days.”
➡️ “We lost track of the conversation.”
➡️ “We are behind because of relocation.”
This caused huge damage to my reputation because my own customers were pressuring me daily. I had nothing to tell them.
4. Relocation excuse — But no one warned us
Only after I kept pushing did they mention they were in the middle of a lab relocation that added 10 additional days to production.
No notification.
No warning.
No timeline adjustment.
If they had told me upfront, I could’ve planned my workflow or used another lab.
Instead, their silence cost me business and trust.
5. Final straw — They refunded everything only AFTER weeks of careless support
After suffering through:
✔️ 21+ days of waiting for reactions
✔️ 30+ days of production delays
✔️ Wrong prints being sent to the wrong customers
✔️ Frozen orders with no updates
✔️ Customers hammering me and demanding refunds
✔️ Excuses instead of solutions
…Pictorem finally responded with:
“I did refund all your pending orders.”
They refunded because they couldn’t handle my production, not because of good customer service.
This wasn’t a relief — it was a forced breakup after chaotic mismanagement.
And all this refund did was compensate them.
It didn’t fix:
❌ My reputation damage
❌ My refunded clients
❌ The time and orders I have to remake myself
❌ The stress, delays, and business interruption they caused
6. If you’re a small or growing photography business — This can destroy your workflow
Based on everything I’ve lived through, here is what photographers should expect:
❌ 2–4 weeks of silence on delays
❌ Orders frozen for 21–30 days
❌ Wrong prints sent to wrong addresses
❌ Confusing, careless customer support
❌ Slow reaction times
❌ Empty promises to “expedite”
❌ The need to refund your clients yourself
❌ Damage to your reputation
❌ Risk of losing loyal customers
❌ Eventually having all your pending orders refunded instead of fulfilled
This is not the print partner a professional business can rely on.

If your business is small, growing, or dependent on predictable production times:
👉 Think twice before depending on Pictorem.
The amount of financial damage, stress, and client pressure I’ve experienced is something no small entrepreneur deserves.
I’m sharing this publicly to help other photographers avoid the damage I went through.

This was my first order with Pictorem, and it completely lived up to all the hype about their quality. The ordering process was simple and straightforward — pretty much what you’d expect if you’ve used other photo print services. But the final product? Absolutely outstanding. The print looks gorgeous, the framing is perfect, and it arrived safely thanks to really solid packaging. From now on, Pictorem is my go-to for premium prints.

I really love doing business with Pictorem. They differentiate themselves by offering exception service from start to finish. I can call and speak with someone very easily. That by itself is invaluable for me.

From there, the goodness continues. This account portal is really an exceptional customer experience. I can watch my order progress through their internal processes and actually see it moving along with near daily updates.

This packaging is really very professional. When I get a delivery, I always admire the incredible packaging job for my fine art photography. It goes to show that everyone cares about the product they care producing and delivering.

I have done extensive research on pricing and they are very competitive with local options, but their free shipping really seals the deal for me as I don’t have to drive to my printer. That saves me time, money and makes me more efficient.

Lastly, and most important, quality. I have now ordered about ten prints on various formats and they have all been perfect. Yes, perfect.

I am very happy with the business I give Pictorem.

I honestly stopped carrying my DSLR for landscapes a while ago — the quality I get from my iPhone  is just that good, especially once I see the prints from Pictorem. I did select image optimization. Opening those packages feels almost magical. Every single time I’m blown away by how incredible they look on paper. Friends who see them on my walls keep telling me I should be selling my shots. The print quality really is next level.

The canvas prints are perfect. The mirror wrap exceeded my expectations.

I must express my deep disappointment at not having received any clear answer or update regarding our pending orders. We are not the final customers—we are a business that has placed full trust in your professionalism and reliability.

Right now, I am in an impossible position. I cannot keep telling my clients “soon they will be sent” without any real information or dates. We have already paid a significant amount of money based on the belief that we were working with a dependable partner, but the continued silence and lack of commitment are seriously damaging our reputation and credibility.

Every day that passes without a response means more customer complaints, more refund requests, and potential bank disputes—all due to the fact that we have no answers from your side. This situation is unacceptable.

I urge you to please provide a clear and immediate update with a realistic shipping date. We need transparency and accountability. Our customers deserve it, and so do we.
