Pheonix martial arts are fantastic. Fitness, fun, self defence, postive mental attitude and support are abundant. I can't wait to see where training takes me!

I joined Phoenix just over a year ago after my mum took me to a taster session and it was the best thing I could have done. Now my son and my husband both train there and we absolutely love it. All the staff are amazing and they all work so hard to make sure every single student gets the time and help they need.

Great classes, great sport, excellent fitness, great group of people. At the age of 45 learning something new has been a great achievement, the instructors may need to repeat a number of times but perserve and success is made .. on yellow belt now - years of training ahead but would def say - give the free lesson a go, as you will be hooked ! 🥊

Phoenix martial arts is amazing, I joined when I was 5 and I’m 11 now. It’s made me so much more confident 🤩 my goal is to reach my black belt in both styles. All the instructors are great and very helpful

All three of my children attend at Phoenix and do both Karate and Kickboxing. My eldest is now a fully qualified instructor, my middle child has joined the leadership team and I know my youngest will pursue the same paths as them when she gets a little older. It’s such a nice place to be and the people there are so friendly and welcoming. It’s been lovely to see all three of my kids grow into what they are now thanks to Phoenix. Big thanks to all of the instructors there.

I have been at phoenix since I was nine, I can't put into words how welcome i felt when i walked in. Its such a welcoming, wholesome, family friendly place and I am grateful I joined, I have progressed so much and I have had the pleasure of teaching and watching other kids enjoy themselves as much as I do.

What a fantastic group of people, very welcoming to all and take time to get to know each and every person who comes through their door. Students, parents and observers alike. I love taking my grandchildren to their classes and watching all 3 of them progress toward being better, more confident and able in everything they do!

Wills my 10 year old son has been going for about a year now. The skill he’s learning in regards to commitment and resilience has shon through in other areas of his life, which as a mum is nothing short of wonderful to witness.
This with the high levels of exercise and technique shows that this class is a fantastic example of how children can channel their energy and creativity in a positive environment that’s safe and fun.
Mr &Mrs Quinn really do manage to get the best from the children, their approach is firm yet fair with a good dose of fun 🤩

I joined Phoenix after a recommendation from a friend. It is such a welcoming place and the instructors and everyone who goes are so lovely. It is disciplined and hard work whilst being fun and rewarding. I love going to the classes and feel a sense of self achievement afterwards. I was thrilled to pass my first grading and look forward to each class. I learn different skills every week and am getting fitter each week. Thank you

Absolutely amazing classes and support for kids. The team are so knowledgeable and supportive to all the kids and parents. My son has thrived since joining and I would highly recommend joining the club

Phoenix martial arts is absolutely fantastic 🤩, I have been training for around 5 years now and I honestly wish i would of started sooner, everyone is so helpful and supportive, it’s honestly like one big extended family 😊 I know if I’ve had a bad day, I can train and I’ll instantly feel better afterwards, through training at Phoenix I’ve continued to push, grow and develop myself in several ways and it’s all because of the positive impact they have on me, to not only do better but to be better 😊 I would recommend it to anyone without a second thought, it’s an amazing academy to be a part of and an amazing life skill to have ☺️

My son has just started Ninja tikes and he loves it all the staff are amazing so glad he joined. This is just the beginning of an amazing journey for him.

My children have been attending for around 4 years now and love every minute of it. The instructors are fantastic always go above and beyond for their students. Choosing Phoenix's Martial Arts was one of the best decision we made, my children have learnt new skills,made friends and most of all their confidence as grown massively.
They also have lots of fun while learning and just hearing the laughter makes it all worth while.
To see my children's face beam with delight when they finally master that new skill and move on to the next stage is priceless. Instructors work with them, guide them, push them (in a good way) to succeed and always always to their own level.

I joined as a more mature lady unfit and needing to loose some weight. I never knew how much I would love the classes. It is professional in its approach to everything yet really friendly and flexible on what you do to develop. Felt totally welcomed and we all help each other out with the exercises and encouragement. Ms Laferty has a brilliant sense of humour and is expert at getting you to push yourself without any pressure. Honestly love it and feel so much fitter and more energised.

I came here initially with my daughter for a trial class of kickboxing. It was so motivational as I've decided to register as well and my husband. All three of us enjoying it, even if we only had few classes by now. A little bit hard to fit the available times for classes with my shifts at work. Great experience, everyone is welcoming and friendly and approachable. I would advise everyone to go for it!

My son goes here twice a week in our local area , run by husband and wife they have patience of a saint , it has a friendly atmosphere and my son loves to go to his classes weekly . he has made some friends already, although he is still one of the new kids he is starting to find his confidence,aswell has the fitness and training they also find time to play games with the kids which keeps it fun .

Amazing place where the tutors pass on their extensive knowledge in a fun, engaging and energetic way the kids love. My son loves to go each week to learn new things

My son has been training With Mr & Mrs Walker and the excellent instructors at Knottingley for nearly seven years.
As a tight Yorkshireman I’m careful with my money but every penny I’ve spent is well worth it at Phoenix Martial Arts Academy in Knottingley.
They have helped my son with his confidence, fitness, mental and physical strength and also made new friends.
His training came in handy one day when he got attacked by a few older lads for no reason.
Wrong place, wrong time sadly for them!
He defended himself when cornered and escaped unscathed.
Sadly the same couldn’t be said for them as unfortunately they came off a lot worse.
I’ve competed at high level sport myself when I was young at British and World level.
I’ve received the best coaching in the past and as a coach now in another sport I know what makes a great instructor/coach and all at Phoenix Martial Arts Academy are simply top quality.
Most importantly there fantastic people.
I cannot recommend Phoenix Martial Arts Academy highly enough.

Incredible atmosphere,my son has been training with phoenix for many years,he is also on the ASD spectrum,they always go above and beyond to accommodate his needs , There Moto mental health matters is true to its wording it's not just somewhere to get fit it's a way of life and all students are welcomed with open arms with respect and dedication anyone can do anything!
