Support is reason for low rating. I admit I have not explored all the capabilities, but the early inability of my account from USAA to sync properly and the lack of any action to resolve, means I can't ever get a picture of my account. Only when I ask about status of resolution, do they respond with "we are investigating". Issue was present 5 months ago. I notified them of the issue 2 months ago. No resolution and no correspondence or status.

USAA is not a small institution, and USAA is known as a remote access friendly company. So keep this in mind, that if issue does arise, you may not get adequate support.

This tool has allowed me to better track my expenses as well as understand my investment strategy. Plus, having access to review my net worth is beneficial in setting my financial goals.

Great way to track your networth, and build a budget. Have been using it for a few years and it's the go-to. Better than Mint.

This is a very early review. I had issues linking accounts, finally working. Not sure what occurred and why but just tried it and it works. The Linking of Accounts from Institutions should be redone to be selective on which accounts to Link. Currently, have to manually "remove" accounts after they are linked and most likely data copied over. Will set up a review in a month or so and see how much better this is than having used other products.

Great UI, good way to track your net worth as it grows. Has difficulty linking with certain banks or sites like CapitalOne or Webull. Sometimes when I log on to the site and hit sign in it just freezes at the log in screen, but then I hit refresh and it takes me to my dashboard.

Excellent app. Helps me consolidate all of my incoming/outgoing money, outstanding debts, investment accounts, savings and net worth.
Has been instrumental in me getting on top of my finances and with presenting something to my accountant to clarify my true financial picture. Invaluable asset that I've recommended to friend after friend.

Great overall. I would say maybe some work needed on the charting for net worth so that it’s a bit more accurate.

I signed up for a free consultation with an advisor in June when they were offering $200 to do so. Talked to an advisor 3 times. I was considering investing some money, but have lost trust. It is Mid October and never got the $200. Had emailed them and got a generic response.
I do like the free tools and found the financial advisor to be friendly and not pushy.

One thing that would really help me is understanding the difference easily between contributions to investment accounts and growth to investment accounts.

For instance over a year of steady, changing amount contributions to accounts I don't really have a fast grasp of how much I contributed.

Also beneficial would be % allocations to accounts. What % of pre/post tax income am I contributing to each account for a monthly/quarter/yearly period? This would be really helpful for benchmarking, accountablility, etc.

If you're serious about tracking your spending and budgeting, personal capital is a must. It really helps see where you spend your money and what you can cut back on. Linking all accounts has been easy and the technology at personal capital seems great. And since it's free, there is no excuse not to get it!!

Very helpful visuals

Personal Capital has been a good system to get a good overview of my financial position but I can't seem to figure out how to use it to do proper budgeting. There may be a way, but to me at least it is not intuitive. But I plan on continuing to try to figure it out.

Love this app! I log in a few times a week to track my net worth. Easy to use once all accounts are linked.
