I’ve had a really good experience with Paul Wallace Estate Agents. Joe & Peter was so helpful and supportive throughout the whole process, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They kept me updated and made everything so much easier for me. I’m really happy with the service I received and would definitely recommend them.

I previously sold a property through Paul Wallace in Cheshunt and had a very positive experience, so when it came time to sell my current property, I chose Paul Wallace in Hoddesdon based on that experience.

Unfortunately, my experience this time was very different, and I ultimately decided to withdraw my property from the market.

From the outset, I was disappointed with the quality of the Rightmove listing. It contained errors and was poorly and unprofessionally laid out. I raised these issues with Paul Wallace, but despite bringing them to their attention, some of the most significant errors were never corrected.

My biggest disappointment, however, was the complete lack of communication. Unless I actively chased them, I rarely heard from the office. This wasn't simply regarding viewings — I received very little in the way of general updates about how the sale was progressing, what activity they were generating, or how they were managing the marketing of my property.

Eventually, I made it clear that I needed a significant improvement in communication if I was to continue using their services. Although this was acknowledged and agreed to, unfortunately the level of communication did not improve.

As a result, I decided to end my relationship with the branch. The office manager subsequently agreed to waive my notice period, which I appreciated, reflecting the fact that the service I had received had fallen below the standard I reasonably expected.

It is particularly disappointing given my previous positive experience with Paul Wallace in Cheshunt. I had expected a similar level of service from the Hoddesdon branch, but unfortunately that was not my experience.

I recently had a property viewing arranged through Paul Wallace Estate Agents for a property in Chestnut, and unfortunately the experience was far below any acceptable standard.

The agent conducting the viewing, Mark Willis, arrived late with no explanation and, more importantly, no apology whatsoever. Throughout the viewing, his manner was rude, arrogant, and entirely unprofessional. There was no attempt at courtesy or basic customer service — something I'd expect as standard when a business is representing a property to a prospective buyer or tenant.

As someone looking to make what is likely one of the biggest financial decisions of my life, I expect to be treated with a baseline level of respect and professionalism. This was completely absent.

I'd strongly urge management at Paul Wallace Estate Agents to review this agent's conduct and their approach to client-facing viewings. Experiences like this reflect poorly on the agency as a whole, and I would be hesitant to use their services again or recommend them to others.

First time home owner here. Matt was extremely helpful from start to finish. A man that truly loves his job and gets things done.

I have to say that all the team at Paul Wallace (Brookfield Centre) were amazing, especially Mark who worked hard to push through a more complicated sale. They showed a lot of patience and were incredibly friendly throughout. Given my circumstance of having to sell before buying it is useful that they were able to put me in contact with a very good removals company and a good mortgage broker (in the past I have had had negative experiences with in house recommendations, so this was a real plus). From the initial visit by Peter Gold to completion, the team of Peter, Joe and Pete were always available and responsive and gave good advice throughout. They also recommended an excellent solicitor to handle the sale which really helped smooth the process. Highly recommended.

This is the second time I’ve used Paul Wallace in Cheshunt to sell a property and on both occasions I’ve found them to be very professional. Someone always accompanied when viewing took place and they were always on time.

Paul Wallace have handled the sales of our family homes for the last 75 years. They are the utmost professionals who know exactly what they are doing and execute it in the most perfect fashion. We just recently closed on our last property and Peter and Joe had it all very under control from the kick off to getting the ball over the line. A lot of agents overprice properties without looking at actual local sales, overpromise to win instructions, and then tie you into long contracts while the house sits on the market. Mark and his team were the complete opposite , honest, clear, and focused on getting the sale done.

Matt was very helpful throughout the purchase process. He went to great lengths to chase responses and make sure progress was made as quickly as possible. He gave advice where it was needed and was very considerate in his approach to solving problems and achieving compromise. I would not hesistate to Paul Wallace estate agents in the future when buying or selling a property.

Peter is an incredible estate agent - goes above and beyond for his clients. Highly recommend.

Dealing with Paul Wallace was a no brainer for us, as they were recommended by so many local contacts and neighbours, so we thought we'd give them a go. We were not disappointed, the entire team were great from initial enquiry with Paul, to photos with Matt, then onto liaising regularly with Steve and Dan Re viewings, offers and the sale.  The team have been excellent and easy to communicate and deal with throughout. Highly recommended.

Matt was absolutely brilliant. We were let down twice by buyers last minute before exchange, however with Matt's professional approach we managed to get a new buyer and complete before the stamp duty deadline. Without your help and constant chasing of solicitors and always keeping us on the loop, this would not have happened.

You have really helped us move to our dream family home and we cannot thank you enough.

We recently sold a property through Paul Wallace in Hoddesdon. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They kept us updated at every stage and helped fill out solicitors forms when we were struggling to complete them.

Recently called into the Cheshunt branch of this
"local "estate agent to ask what the current commission fees are as we are planning to put our property on the market in April (incidentally bought through Paul Wallace some years ago).

The office was completely empty except for about 4 staff members glued to their computers. One man looked up, my wife politely asked what their current fees are. With a good amount of disinterest he said "1 and a quarter" she asked if that was sole agency and he said "yes" then she asked how much for joint agency and he said "1 and a half" End of conversation.

No further conversation was invited, he didn't ask if we had a property to sell, if we would like a valuation or anything else. Clearly there must be a huge boom in the area we have no knowledge of and they are not interested in selling any more properties. We were quite taken aback by the attitude of the gentleman we spoke to and felt so uncomfortable we felt too embarassed by the abruptness of the situation to ask for a valuation. It left us with a very poor impression.

What a shame. Won't be selling through Paul Wallace. Have looked at some of the other glowing reviews and wonder how "genuine" they are following our poor experience.
