Rachel Straughan is a great solicitor. Something that I appreciate about her work is that she calls you and explains things. Other solicitors that I have worked with already avoid talking to you over the phone which I hate but Rachel is different, she makes things very clear to you.

We were recommended Open Law by our estate agents. We did have some initial duplication of information but after this Lisa and her team dealt with all our queries quickly and in a helpful manner. They were professional in chasing the sellers solicitors when things weren’t moving forward and the estate agent also commended them for being organised in completing paperwork for our sale. Lisa and her team worked efficiently and allowed us to complete our house purchase in 3 months (3 months earlier than our initial completion date!) as first time buyers her team were supportive throughout. We’re very grateful to Lisa and her team!

Didn't keep me up to date, a week to reply to an email and you're lucky if you get to speak to someone with any sort of knowledge.
The team leader didn't care and showed no empathy. Just go elsewhere

Used Open Law as my solicitor to sell my flat. They were very efficient. The team made requests for all documents they required up front, which I have heard is not a given, and were in close contact with the Sale Manager at the Estate Agent multiple times a week as we neared exchange and completion.

Recently used Open Law for a house sale. We received friendly and helpful support when completing our legal documents. We received regular updates on progress and quick responses to any queries that we had. The overall service was great and we will definitely be using Open Law again in the future.

We were appointed the firm by the estate agent conveyancing team when selling my parents home. It wasn’t local to me which meant I had to drive over twice to take important documents I couldn’t risk losing in the post, an hour each way. Having said that my emails were always answered promptly and any questions I had were also dealt with. Sophie was very approachable.

Terrible experience. Awful service and very unhelpful throughout. Serious communication issues. Definitely would NOT recommend.
