Absolutely appalling service from start to finish.

My offer on a property was accepted in January, and we are now in May with the entire chain ready to exchange - yet the only consistent thing throughout this process has been the complete lack of communication, urgency, and professionalism from this firm.

At every single stage, I have had to chase for updates myself. Not once was I proactively informed about progress, outstanding matters, or next steps. Calls were repeatedly promised and never returned. Emails raising concerns were ignored entirely.

The problems started when my estate agent asked whether I had signed documents that I had never even received. After chasing, I was told they had been posted - yet nothing arrived for over a week. Only after further chasing were the documents finally emailed for me to print myself.

I returned signed scans the same day and posted the originals a couple of days after, which were delivered to the office the following day. Despite this, I was later told they had not had time to review them because other exchanges were taking priority. It seems they are taking on a lot more work than what they can effectively handle.

On multiple occasions I was promised updates or callbacks that simply never happened.

Most concerning was being contacted and warned about supposed upcoming works on the property that I would allegedly be financially liable for - yet no details could be provided regarding the works, costs, or timelines. I was then sent documents dated July 2025 relating to works that, after I investigated myself with the estate agents and sellers, had already been completed and paid for last year. This caused completely unnecessary stress and demonstrated a serious lack of due diligence before alarming a client with inaccurate information.

At this stage, the rest of the chain is waiting solely on my solicitor. After months of delays, constant chasing, poor communication, and misinformation, I can honestly say this has been one of the most frustrating professional service experiences I have ever dealt with.

I would not recommend this firm to anyone purchasing a property if you expect communication, efficiency, or basic client care.

As a first-time buyer, this was a completely new experience for me, but Mark made everything straightforward and easy to follow. He explained each step clearly and in a way that was easy to understand, which really helped throughout the process.

Unbelievably, ConveyancingHome sent the proceeds of a sale to the wrong solictor, a company that had been liquidated. They did not do the basic account checks that any individual or business would do.

Even worse, they took four days to resolve the matter when they could have paid this instantly from their own funds or through insurance. It left one family homeless for four days and three others stranded in the chain.

To make matters worse, the legal claim for the expenses incurred by this gross incompetence has yet to be paid. It is still awaiting 'approval from one of their directors'.

A terrible situation, made worse by apathy, tardiness and a complete lack of care and attention after the mistake was discovered.

ConveyancingHome replied below, quite rapidly and at the weekend. It shows they pay more attention to trying to block bad reviews rather than sorting the problem out. An hour spent on a correct bank transfer would have been more productive than trying to suppress bad online feedback. A classic case of wrong priorities.

Hannah and Mark were always prompt with responses, quick to get documents across, and I was very happy with the speed at which the purchase progressed. I would certainly recommend them based on my experiences.
