Oak Mantel, for above a log burner. Absolutely perfect. Great natural finish. Will use this company again. Good to have something made in England this well made.

Ordered a pair of wall shelves. Arrived quickly, well made and easy to install. The shelves are made from nice wood, really thick, rustic and chunky with matching brackets. Just what we wanted.

Excellent communication, service and finished product. The coat hooks are so professionally made and high-quality, I’ve not found an equivalent elsewhere. The wood has been well cared for and the addition of the shelf means it’s not only practical but attractive, too. Thank you, Off the Grain!

A coat rack is simple, but it can be a thing of beauty. The oak coat hanger is definitely that. It is relatively easy to put up with another pair of hands. I bought the 12 hook version, which was just a little too much for my solo D.I.Y. skills, so my wife helped out. Total time from unpacking and tidying was about 45 mins. It is well worth the money and the wait for delivery, as it is a small company that deserves support.

My wife wanted a small, solid wood TV stand for our bedroom. We searched high and low and eventually found the web site of 'Off The Grain'. We ordered the Saltburn Rustic TV stand which truly suited our needs. It took a wee bit longer for it to arrive, than first thought, but let me tell you, it was absolutely worth waiting for. It's lovely and so solid. Dominic and Helen kept me updated regularly on delivery times and I think part of the short delay was down to them moving into bigger premises, which seems to be a sure sign of growing success. I would definitely recommend them.

As the item was made to order I was kept informed of the timescales. When it arrived it was extremely well packaged. I am highly delighted with the coat rack and it is good to support a small local company here in Yorkshire rather than purchase something mass produced.

Having waited just over about three and half weeks for delivery, I have to say when the product arrived I was very pleased with it. I liked the design and the quality of the coat rack. It was also good to see the care that had gone into the packaging and protection which ensured it arrived in good shape. I look forward to putting up in my hallway and in service. Nice to get a follow up message from them after delivery; they seem to care about their business. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

Delivery took a while but that’s clearly signposted when you order and it’s worth the wait, knowing you’re getting a bespoke product.

Just collected a custom size coffee table from the factory. Everyone very welcoming and helpful. Also took the opportunity to look round the new showroom where couple of pieces caught my eye.
The coffee table added the finishing touch to our refurbished sitting room.

A really disappointing experience. We ordered a coat rack on January 15th and website said 2 weeks lead time. Two weeks passed and no rack. I tried to call, phone would say on lunch break or no one available please leave a message, followed by message inbox full! Response to emails was also rubbish! Finally told it would be delivered half term week, I messaged to say we would be away. I was told they would hold off until the Saturday we were back. Guess what? It arrived whilst we were away but luckily our daughter had popped round so took delivery. We got home, opened it and it was in an awful state - how it passed quality control is beyond me - it was so damaged! We were told to send it back and they would replace. We loved the rack so decided to give them another chance. We sent the old one back and again waited ages for a new one and every-time we chased it up we couldn’t actually speak to anyone! The new one finally arrived and it’s still not great, it hasn’t been painted properly and isn’t very professional looking. However, it is good enough and with coats on you can’t totally see the shoddy bits so we’ve kept it. I wouldn’t order from this company again and won’t be recommending them which is such a shame as I love supporting small, family businesses. I am not one to leave negative reviews but I felt it was important to make others aware. Hopefully off the grain have put somethings into place to prevent this happening to others.
