Some solutions aren't in the user manual, and my own attempts often fail because they don't seem logical. But the Oakcastel support team showed me the right way, which led to success in troubleshooting! Thank you all! Armin

Great Customer Support
I bought a pretty entry level soundbar to enhance the sound quality oh my TV.
I had a few issues installing it, contacted customer support and they were excellent. They responded to every email question very quickly and always with advice. With there help we sorted my issue. Its good to see a company with fantastic customer service.

DAB500 - Great!
My DAB500 arrived quickly and well packaged. A smart-looking solid radio with excellent sound quality. Delighted, and when I had a slight problem it was quickly resolved by the tech team

Excellent; until it went wrong!
In November 2024 I bought an Oakcastle DAB500 DAB radio/CD player. Good solid case, good sound quality, easy to set up. It was warranted for 52 weeks. It behaved perfectly for 55 weeks at which point a software glitch caused the legend "waiting for PC wizard..." to come up on the display screen and the unit "froze". I remedied it by turning it off at the mains and, after a short wait, back on again. It worked fine again until the next day when the same thing happened. I then got in touch with customer service, they admitted it was a known fault. Their suggestion of turning it off and leaving it for 48 hours didn't work either. I tried, with their help, to download software on my laptop and input to the DAB500 via the USB port. That didn't work either. Eventually, we all gave up and they refunded me 25% of the purchase price. I thought that was pretty mean considering that it had gone wrong only 3 weeks out of warranty. They offered me 40% off if I bought a new one, but why would I want something else from a manufacturer whose product misbehaved? So I took the 25% refund. Overall, left feeling disappointed.

Excellent Customer Service 2 years after purchase
I bought my Oakcastle DAB500 back in December '23. Recently I notice the CD player would start at random places on CDs when I played them.
I contacted Oakcastle via their website regarding the issue and within 20 minutes I had a response from a real person with a solution. Thank you Emilyn.

Glad I Chose Oakcastle CD100 Over The Plethora Of CD Players Available
This great little machine is something I didn't think I needed.
Having used an ipod which is very convenient but you need to import the CD into itunes. I have so many tunes on itunes sometimes locating them is difficult if for example an artist partners with another the album goes under various artists and not the main artist's name. With this player grab a CD and play. Also if away from home and you buy a CD you can listen to it on the player straight away. Pairing with headphones is straightforward and the battery life is as good as the ipod offers. Peace of mind with the generous 3 year warranty for registering online.
So many CD players on the market with the likes of Temu etc. I chose Oakcastle as it is designed in the UK and there is a UK tech helpline.
Also their tech team try their best to match you up with one staff member so you deal with that person throughout to keep things consistent.

Flimsy Compact Disc Drive
This is my second DAB500. The first machine developed a fault on the CD within a couple of weeks. Contacted the Tech Help who responded quickly but ascertained that there was a genuine fault so had to return it to Amazon. Have just purchased another as I like the ease of set up and the sound. The only thing I don't like is the flimsy CD. I am mega careful with this and hope the second machine will stand the test of time. It's very difficult to write a review on the Company's Website as it keeps telling you that you have duplicated information and will not let you save it.

Needed to purchase a cd player for my husband who is in a nursing home. The Majority cd was a fine size and suitably priced. It was also easy to register it for extra warranty. Ordered it on the 8th october. Arrived on the 9th. The only complaint is I would have liked it to be wrapped. It came in its box for all to see what the item was.

I have 2 Majority Internet radios which I've had for a few years, but when I had a technical issue recently the Support team were very helpful and helped sort the problem for me.
I would be happy to buy Majority products in the future.

We are delighted with our CD100…. It seems well made with all the functions you could want and sounds great connected to a Harman/Kardon external speaker.
Nice design so ALL HAPPY and the Three Year Guarantee offers extra peace of mind.

The support team were excellent. They responded very quickly to my query regarding my DAB radio. The proposed solution worked perfectly. It is really good to know that such a fine support team is behind you for the unlikely event that they may be needed.
My experience over the weekend will ensure that I will look at Oakcastle to provide any further electronic kit in the future.
