We’ve reviewed our sign-up and checkout journey and can confirm that all communications clearly describe the model as a rental subscription. Terms such as “subscribe,” “return anytime,” and “ownership remains with Circular” are made transparent at every step.

Thanks for taking the time to share your review — and we’d like to clarify a few important points regarding your recent experience.

Your account was not charged any late fees. The charges in question were standard outstanding dues that arose from your change in billing cycle. Originally, your subscription was set to bill on the 7th of each month. However, on 25 June, this was changed to the 25th — right before your next billing date — which deferred payment for the upcoming cycle. This triggered a pro-rated unbilled amount that needed to be settled before your return request could proceed.

When you scheduled a return on 11 July, our team identified the unpaid dues and, in accordance with our Returns Policy, had to cancel the pickup. The same situation occurred again on 14 July when another return was requested for the 17th, but the dues remained unsettled.

We understand how frustrating billing matters can feel, especially during a swap. But it’s important to clarify that these were not “late fees” — just the normal subscription amount owed from your last active cycle. Circular’s policies are in place to ensure fairness across all subscribers, and our team is always happy to explain any part of the billing process.

We understand how frustrating it can be to coordinate handovers in such conditions — and we absolutely don’t expect our customers to put themselves at risk. Please know that rescheduling is always an option, and our team would have gladly worked with you to find a more suitable timing.

We’d like to clarify that the delivery agent had confirmed your preferred timing in advance and even adjusted their route to meet your request for an evening handover. On the day itself, the driver arrived punctually at 5:59 PM — in line with the mutually agreed window — and waited an additional 37 minutes to accommodate you, which unfortunately impacted subsequent deliveries. We hope this effort reflects our commitment to flexibility and service.

While we strive to be flexible, we also appreciate timely coordination from our customers to ensure smooth experiences for everyone in the queue.
