Worst money service I’ve ever had
Worst money service I’ve ever had! They claim paid 2 days early yet in an entire year I’ve yet to be paid early tho my paychecks show 2 days early through the ADP app. Absolute garbage customer service and I recommend them to no one hoping to receive their paycheck before their actual payday. 100% shady and misleading company/app. You are way better off using chime if u actually want to paid early.

I am filing a formal complaint regarding unauthorized activity on my account.
On 04/22/2026, a dispute was entered or attempted without my request, approval, or presence on the phone. This action must be addressed immediately.
To be clear, I originally requested disputes related to Uber transactions beginning 04/10/2026, and those requests were denied by Wisely. During different calls, I spoke with two supervisors and three agents, all of whom denied my requests. Because I was not assisted, I pursued the matter directly with Uber and have since been fully refunded. I was refunded a week ago, so there is no valid reason for any dispute to be initiated on my account at this point.
Due to my CFPB complaint, a male representative called me today from phone number 714-228****. He asked questions and then began interrupting me, which I do not accept. I found him to be unprofessional, and since I could not finish my statement regarding being denied by multiple supervisors and agents starting 04/10/2026, I ended the call. If this violation regarding the denial of my dispute is to be addressed by this representative, it will be handled as a two-way conversation—otherwise, it will not be addressed at all.
During my only call to Wisely on 04/22/2026, I contacted this financial institution after receiving an email indicating that a dispute had been submitted on my behalf that day, without my authorization or request. I called to confirm, and a supervisor identifying himself as Sebastian confirmed that the dispute attempt was entered prior to our conversation. It is also on record that the dispute was attempted before I called, and I only called once. This confirms that the action was taken without my authorization or knowledge.
Had anyone properly reviewed my account, they would have seen that Uber had already refunded me. If there had been any real effort to assist me, I would have been allowed to file my dispute when I initially called on 04/10/2026. Since that request—and every request after—was denied, there is nothing that can be done now to correct that failure after the fact.
Entering or attempting to enter a dispute on a customer’s financial account without consent raises serious concerns, including:
Unauthorized account activity
Potential record manipulation
Violation of internal policies and consumer protection standards
I am requesting the following:
A formal explanation of who accessed my account and initiated this dispute attempt
Confirmation of what exactly was entered, modified, or documented on 04/22/2026
Assurance that no unauthorized disputes remain open or pending
Immediate escalation of this complaint to your corporate office for investigation
Additionally, I expect appropriate disciplinary review of the individual responsible. This type of conduct undermines trust and should not be dismissed.
Due to confirmed unauthorized tampering with my Wisely account, I will escalate this matter to the Attorney General’s Office and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as a formal complaint regarding this violation.
Funds transfer issue
I called in to customer service to request support with a transfer of funds from the debit card to my checking account. There was a payroll error and my job provided my check via the debit card. When I called in, I verified my name and DOB. I was told my name was different. After explaining I have the card and just need to transfer funds, I was asked to share two forms of ID. I uploaded my driver's license and passport. When I finished, the representative stated my account was locked for 48 hours to verify my identity. I asked to speak with a manager, but the representative refused to transfer me because I didn't ask for a "supervisor" instead of manager. When I spoke with the supervisor, she stated she could see my documents, but wanted me to upload my social security card. She stated I would have to wait 48 hours for a decision. I stated I have the card and could access my funds before calling them. Now I have to wait for a decision to access my money. The customer service for mywisely is inadequate and rude. They don't listen well and repeat a script instead of having a conversation. Lastly, I had to jump through hoops for basic customer service. I should have access to my funds.

This company is a scam when it comes to disputes. My dispute was denied before I could send the information I gathered with Uber. Someone had my card connected to their account. I didn’t have a clue on who it was. The paper work I had to fill out and send them back came the day before my dispute denial later. How can you do a full investigation without me sending the information for the investigation? Company is a scam.

Not secure whatsoever. Someone transferred $7,000 out of my main account, $300 out of my savings and $400 on my secondary card my son uses and now it has been stolen online again and was denied a refund when its obviously being taken. If you get paid with this card get your money out immediately. I changed cards 3 separate times and still got hacked. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
They will allow stores to dbl charge and give you the runaround and tell you to figure it out
I got dbl charge for gas and at first I told wisely and it appeared back on my card. Then I woke up and it was gone. Told me to figure it out with the gas station. This wasn't the first time either. They literally stole my money instead of protecting it.

i ordered 3 orders from Yzy.com
i ordered 3 orders from Yzy.com. i tried to contact the company several times about my first order. it hasn’t been shipped out or anything. no response. so i tried to dispute the charge with mywisely and they refused it. they never sent me anything, i didn’t get a call or anything. just outright refused to refund my $105.92. So i don’t get my shoes and i can’t get my money back. this company is turning into shit.

Not worth the trouble. They have switched banks 3 times in 5 years. Every time they switch YOU have to update all your direct deposit information. I applied for Social Security and by the time I was approved they had switched banks again. It was a nightmare recovering my funds. Run the other way.
Two weeks at least to pay a bill, agent says payment lost in the mail
I have had the Wisely card for almost ten months. I used the card to make a payment to my credit card during month 6. The payment was specified as a "check" that gets "mailed", no charge. I believe you can pay bills electronically for a surcharge. The payment took two weeks. Mental note, do not use the service again. During month 10, I needed to pay my credit card again which I did on 1/17, the money was taken out of my account 1/18. I agreed to this because the claim was my bill would be paid in 5-7 days, by 1/26. I wasn't feeling well, I was distracted by personal issues, yada, my bill was due 2/1, so this seemed to be my best option. 1/27 came, my bill was not paid so I called wisely, agent said a manager would call back within 4 hours; they did not. The next day I called back and they said they called but I did not answer. I spoke with a manager who blamed me for making a payment on a (weekend 1/17-1/18) when they weren't open and that 2 weekends (1/17-1/18, 1/24-1/25) caused the delay in payment...basically that the check is in the mail, that the payment should arrive by the coming weekend (1/31-2/1.) Ignoring 2 facts (1) the payment came out of my account on a Sunday and (2) the USPS delivers on Saturdays (some Sundays, so it seems.) I ended up making myself broke to pay my credit card by 2/1 (my c.c. gave me a tip, use the c.c. website to PULL a payment immediately rather than a bank to PUSH the payment) and the payment from 1/17 still has not gone through. So yeah, it's two weeks like before, but the issue also became that do not say the payment will be made in 5-7 days to entice you to do so, then actually it takes at least two weeks (like it's 1975) and the check is unknown where. So if you must use a wisely card, Pull from your account, do not initiate payment through Wisely account. And note that customer service is unhelpful. Would not recommend this service; I have opened a different account now that I had more time at my job to realize I have better banking options.
Edit/update: the wisely payment posted to my account. On Sunday. A weekend. Two weeks after I entered it. The unofficial but correct payment time, not 5-7 days as written when you are going to make a payment and then on the confirmation page after you enter it.

I may update this in a week, but I was VERY suprised to see that Wisely has been charging me a montly fee of 85.00 Canadian for months because I did one transfer months ago. I have lost hunders to them. As a Government executive with decades of procurement experience, I am aware of such tactics, but am a bit embarrassed to have fallen this...if it was intentional. I hope it was not. I have reached out to them to seek resolution. If this is corrected I will change my rating. If it is not. I will not change my rating on Trustpilot. At this stage I would be very cautious.

Luckily I never lost any money, just sharing this for because for the second time I’ve gotten a barrage of notifications about declined transactions on an empty account. I had and used the card for like 4 months, all in my farm hometown because I was working for a company that used it. I still have the card, it wasn’t stolen or skimmed, never used it online, they actually just have such poor security that someone can get it by hacking them. And it gets sold or hacked to someone that’s so unsophisticated they attached their phone number to the transactions and keeps trying it when there’s no money, like maybe in 4 hours this person will get paid. And all through that there’s no way to actually contact them about it. So I just tell the vendors and drivers I know used it “hey, you should probably lose that account”. Just google it and you’ll see nothing but this same story.

Many employers issue this card to students for salary payments. If you have a chance, refuse this card, or open another bank account as soon as possible and transfer your money there immediately.
Keeping this card and dealing with this bank can literally shorten your life by a few years due to stress.
At the moment, my money is completely stuck in this bank. I cannot access it, and customer support is absolutely useless. Communication with their service is nearly impossible — they do not help, do not provide clear answers, and do not offer any real solutions. What should be a simple banking process turns into a nightmare once you leave the US or face any other issue. This is especially problematic for international students who return to their home country.

Aggressive upselling, poor service, and refund issues
I had a deeply disappointing experience with Wisely / Avoro.
What started as a paid service quickly turned into constant upselling pressure, with core value seemingly locked behind additional payments. Instead of receiving what was originally promised, the focus shifted to pushing upgrades and add-ons.
The service itself did not match the expectations set during the sales process, and when I raised concerns and requested a refund, the process became slow, unclear, and frustrating. Communication around refunds lacked transparency and accountability.
Overall, this felt less like a customer-focused service and more like a sales funnel designed to extract more money after purchase. I would strongly caution others to read the fine print, be wary of upsells, and not rely on verbal promises.
This was a waste of time, money, and trust.

I've had this card for 4 years and it is ridiculous at what they put you through to reset a phone number to get a verification code. I advise anybody not to use this service it is the worst service there is no office you can contact, nor does it benefit you in any means towards anything at all but you will play hell trying to get your money out because of the things they want you to upload and then they tell you the things that upload and then they say that's not right it's a disgusting company

My account was comprimised.
On November 18 someone compromised my Wisley card, I filed a dispute. Somehow my address was changed. Wisley sent my new card to an address that they will not tell me. I have sent documentation multiple times to prove my address. They continue to refuse to correct my address. The staff has hung up on me. I was unable to get Christmas presents for my great grandchildren. Still no resolution.

My account was hacked. They locked my account for investigation and somehow someone else changed the phone number on file so they couldn't give me anything on my account even though I submitted photos of my driver's license and social security card! Go figure! It's been since Dec 15 th since I've been able to access my money! I promise you I will never have another paycheck deposited to a wisely account! This is the worst company ever. Customer service will hang up on you promise to call and never call back! DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND USE ANOTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION ITS WORTH IT I PROMISE!
