So frustrating
So frustrating! I notified them a day before my parking was due to let them know I'd selected the wrong date and wanted a refund. Even though I didn't use the parking and gave advance notice, they flat-out refused to refund me. Talk about daylight robbery!
Sat in a deserted carpark trying to get the app to even work
Sat in a deserted carpark, lone female, while ring o sent me confirmation code after code. It then deleted my account and forced me to set up another one. Again, text code after text code not accepted/resent/ not accepted. Eastbourne council need to take a long hard look at this app. It's a fail. Why not try the park by phone app used by neighbouring Brighton? At least it works. Also, I nearly found myself signed up to some travel subscription thingy. I'm now gonna have to check my bank statement to make sure I've not been conned. Absolutely incompetent and dishonest app. Can't believe local authorities use it. A new low. I gave up and street parked illegally, didn't want to, but what are you supposed to do?
Fined after paying using app

Poorly designed - superimposes a 'Next' button on top of phone's home screen button
This App is very poorly designed. I had to use it today in a rail station car park as I was collecting someone and needed to confirm that the first twenty minutes were free. Perhaps inevitably, I was immediately asked to reset my password. No problem, I thought, this should be straight-forward (ha!). It wasn't. The genius designers decided to place the App's 'Next' button on top of my Samsung S21's 'Home' button. When I tried to tap 'Next' I was repeatedly brought to my home screen. I almost used up the entire 20 minute's free time in the car park trying to grapple with this awful App.

Used them for first time yesterday. Took far too long to do then charged a fee for the privilege of paying! Won’t use again!
Do NOT use Ringo: you will be fined anyway.
Do NOT use Ringo to pay for parking. I paid for Ringo; however, still received a fine from Cumbria Parking Services for the moments between two tickets. It was not possible to purchase a ticket covering an overnight period. Criminal theft, with no warning on Ringo and no assistance possible.

Absolutely terrible website, not even formatted for a mobile phone.
Who ever designed this system needs sacking, and if the council paid a 3rd party to develope it they should ask for their money back. What a waste of my time.

This app actively puts customers at risk of getting parking fines.
I used RingGo to pay for council parking with a clearly stated daytime maximum stay of 4 hours. When my session was about to end, RingGo sent me a reminder notification prompting me to take action. The app then allowed me to extend my parking and accepted payment, with no technical block or clear warning that doing so would invalidate my parking.
I was later issued a PCN.
When I challenged this, RingGo confirmed in writing that their system knowingly allows customers to extend daytime parking beyond the permitted maximum due to a design limitation. They are fully aware that this can result in penalties being issued, yet the app still:
• sends reminders,
• allows extensions,
• takes customers’ money.
This is not a user mistake — it is a known system flaw that RingGo chooses to live with and shift the consequences onto customers.
Yes, signage may technically override the app, but if a company knowingly accepts payment for parking that isn’t permitted, that is deeply misleading. An app designed to “make parking easier” should not function as a trap for people who are trying to pay correctly.
Until RingGo disables reminders and extensions where they know penalties can result, this service cannot be trusted. Use with extreme caution.
Paid £3 for parking and fined by Nottingham city council
Paid £3 for parking and selected the location which came up. Unfortunately this was apparently the wrong "code".
Nice fine received from Nottingham city council now even though I actually PAID.
I provided the council evidence also of the location not showing on the ringgo app but apparently this isn't enough.

Great idea, managed and run by thieving awful people. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Terrible. It took 20 minutes to pay for a one hour parking. The automated call destiny listen to what you say and you have to repeat everything three times. Talk about going backwards. Would have been far easier and quicker to just put a coin into a meter. Theres no confirmation that you’ve paid.

Can’t even express the words I have for this piece of shit app. Logged me out, had to reset my password 3 times to login and then you rejected my payment. Had to move my car and missed my train. Complete joke and no other option. Fix your piece of shit app.

Made a simple mistake of clicking the wrong spot. Immediately booked the right spot and requested a refund. They refused saying it is mt fault.
Granted it is my fault but its s shitty thing to do for no reason, a refund would have been easily done and no reason not to other than greed and bad service.
A completely irresponsible operator
A completely irresponsible operator. When their system failure led to me being charged twice for the same parking session they refused to accept any accountability. The response from their "customer services" was patronising and devoid of any accountability. Of course, in any given parking situation they are a monopoly provider. I would urge any local authority or car park owner to avoid entering into a contract with these cowboys because they will only pass costly problems on to you.
What a rubbish app
What a rubbish app, it would not let me register as it kept saying already registered! So clicked the delete account and still I can not register! What a wasted trip to Bromley as in the end I could not park!
Absolutely abysmal
Absolutely abysmal, I have registered with Ringo using their app but my account wasn't recognised when trying to park. I have been advised to delete the account and start again, but I can't delete the app as I can't sign on, incredibly frustrating.
Unreliable and unhelpful
I tried to use ringo yesterday but their app was down. I tried to phone their number and I couldnt connect, came up as busy. As a result, I couldn't pay for my parking and had to park somewhere else at double the cost through no fault of my own. I have complained to ringo but they said they cannot offer me anything as i didnt pay them anything. How can I pay them if their app and phone lines are down??? If i can help it, i won't be using their service again and will pay by coins at the parking meter.
